Mr Wood man... That is some machine you got there. Huge congrats on growing your business. Cheers and good luck!
Thanks 👍 so much Tommy….! I am super stoked to have this machine in my life and little woodyard now. It will certainly help my productivity and the quality of my splits, which, as you know, are pretty damn good already! 😝 I will be 55 years old this summer and the wood is not getting any lighter, so having the log lift is a huge bonus!
I’ve goten to run one of them at the logging show and there quite the machine . It’s definitely going to make your life easier in the wood yard . Congrats on the up grade
You’ve got that right! It’s been a 2-year dream 💭 in the making for me!! Thanks for stopping by Phil….!!!
Sweet splitter just right for your process Ken! You are going to need a bigger yard!!👍👍
Thanks so much Jeremiah…!!! It’s a beauty and a 2 year dream 💭 come true! I’ve got Beechnut, sugar maple and cherry “candy” rounds for the AXIS waiting to be split! (As soon as this heat wave is over)
Couple things,
1. Watch your hands on those smaller splits. Especially if the cuts aren't perfectly square. Let go and let the machine do its thing then grab the wood again. I smashed my finger like rachel did last year pretty good on Ken's machine at hope event. Just be careful as i know you are!
2. Second wheelbarrow for the slash you keep throwing on the ground. That will save you a step later. Me on blacktop i gotta sweep and shovel anyway, you really dont have the option to sweep up in gravel.
3. Im so freaking happy you got that machine, I almost bet you were doing cartwheels out back when you finally got it home and set up to use. Im thankful Andrew was able to make a few beans and still keep us both happy at the same time too. Very blessed is an understatement!!
Stay safe, see ya soon!!!
Thank you so much Jack! We’re certainly both happy campers and part of Team Orange 🧡 and Blue 💙
I have a large blue tote on the ground for the slash. If the camera work was better you would have seen it. 😜
Glad to hear you got home safe 😊 I'm so happy for you, it's great you upgraded to something that you have wanted for so long. Unfortunately your going to need a bigger wheelbarrow, talk to OWB I think he knows of a good company 👍.
Thank you so much!! 😊 I’m definitely considering a 2nd LARGE wheelbarrow!
Congrats on the new to you Axis in your wood yard. Finding used ones are few and far between. Count yourself lucky like Jack at LogCabinFirewood who got the other one that Andrew brought back to Eastonmade HQ.
Thanks so much! Jack was certainly instrumental in my AXIS success!
@@kenskuts sometimes in life all we need is a lil wink wink and a nod. We both did great brother. You're operation is going to increase exponentially 🤜🤛
Congratulations on the Axis! I’ve had mine over a year in April. I just had to take down one of my pecan trees and was wondering about trying to make smoker wood. (They we’re planted and not normally around here so probably could have some demand) Nice video. Be careful if you try splitting beech- straight is great but crooked limb rounds I have launched 10 feet past the log lift.
Thanks for all the comments Chris! I’m excited to join Team Orange and Blue…!!
Where do you call home??? Definitely split that Pecan small for smoker wood…!
I have plenty of experience with Beech on the Huskee. I have a pallet plus of large diameter Beech candy waiting for the AXIS. I will take your comments into consideration when I start busting them up! I don’t need to launch beech splits thru the neighbor’s PVC fence! I made all square cuts so I should be good 👍 to go!! Are you a new subscriber??? Catch you on the next one!!!
@@kenskuts I’m in northern Indiana. I think I was sub 300.
Brilliant well thought out machine. I bought an 18-ton slitter in UK and spent two days adapting it to one handed leaver operation and extending stroke on ram to achieve perfect split, has we are saddled with ludicrous unworkable saftey regulation, which verge on making operation dangerous
Wow! What an experience…! Sounds like a scary machine to run. Be careful over there 👉🏻
@kenskuts machine is now perfect. Not much defeats it even though its only 18-ton
I ordered the new axis for my bundle wood business
That is awesome! 👏🏻 Congratulations!!! You are gonna love the speed and precision….! Where are you located???
