In todays video I test the new XXIO 12 irons, these game improvement irons claim to be super forgiving and have extremely lightweight shafts, is this a perfect combo for mid and high handicap golfers?

I’ve tried the XXio 13 and I found them very responsive and straight, easy to hit a slight draw. Well designed, great review as always! Ty!

Greetings from Canada! Just got my hands on Xxio elevens. I’m an 18 handicap with a moderate swing speed and these are the best irons I’ve ever played! They ooze quality!

Hi Andy, i used to play a set of the XXIO Ten Irons (2018-2020) and really liked them a lot. Easy to swing, easy to get airborne. I fact i played a full bag of XXIO two seasons. Really easy on the body. Over here in Gernany you can buy XXIO anywhere where Srixon and Ckeveland Products are sold as they all come from Dunlop Sports Co. Quite expensive but reall impressive. Cheers, Frank

In the UK I would recommend Jill and Nick de Villiers who run JdV Sports as suppliers of XXIO clubs. I bought a set of irons, a hybrid and a fabulous 4 wood from them and have always enjoyed playing with them. They are nice people to deal with.

    Hi
I bought. A set in Florida this winter and after a fair amount of trial and error these clubs are great for me age 70 +9 handicap.Lighter weight and I use cross comfort grips which makes the game just easier. For less than 100 yards I use a wedge 54 or 60
Great clubs but a bit clumsier in short

Played XXIO irons some years ago, they were reasonably priced then, however they are now very expensive and they are not easy to get hold of. But they were a very good set of clubs, their basically a Srixon but more expensive, Srixon clubs are better and more affordable.

The Cleveland Launcher XL irons have the counter balance feature as well!

Love your videos! I saw the video on the Big Bertha 2023 irons and this XXIO video. I'm a senior golfer looking for more distance and frogiveness, which one of these clubs would you recommend? Thanks

They are offered through most US mail order houses. I love their fairway woods because I can swing more calmly and get all the distance I get from my g430 fairways. One thing about xxio that isn't so hot is the price.

For context; Gigagolf is a direct to consumer company that allow lie and length adjust at no upcharge, limited shafts and grips are reasonably priced as well. Their Ti3 model (about $80US per club) has tungsten and a titanium face. I play them if not my Mizunos. They are forgving and a pleasure to use.

Never tried the irons but you gotta try the Divers, woods and hybrids.
I play their driver and love it. Their drivers come with a 43g shaft.
I’m located in Taiwan, they’re very popular here.
    Do it Andy. 😉

I just bought a full set of XXIO 12 irons (5-SW) and very impressed with it. Shot shaping could be a challenge with them though. However, I am struggling to gauge a proper distance with AW and SW since both of them go pretty high but do not give desired distance. Am I the only one having this issue? thanks a ton.

The high cost of XXIO clubs is a major hurdle for me. However, I have studied them and hit the drivers. They are made of very high quality materials. The TORAYCA t1100g carbon fiber pre-preg with the NANOALLOY resin matrix used in their shafts is exactly the same material used by other high end premium shafts, including Graphite Design. The Super-TIX-51AF titanium used in the faces is as it says a super grade of titanium originally developed by Nippon Steel for use in the connecting rods of Yamaha high speed motorcycles. It has 50% higher specific strength than the material commonly used for those parts. It is almost as strong as the Ti-6AI-4V titanium alloy used in aircraft frames and engines but uses inexpensive generic additive elements (e.g., iron (Fe), copper (Cu), silicon (Si), oxygen (O)) instead of expensive additive elements whose prices drastically fluctuate, such as vanadium (V), chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni). These titanium alloys are almost as strong as the representative high strength titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V. Don't think any club maker uses a better, stronger more flexible titanium. See www.nipponsteel.com/en/product/titan/list/01.html and also www.nipponsteel.com/en/tech/report/nssmc/pdf/106-04.pdf and also www.nipponsteel.com/en/tech/report/nssmc/pdf/106-05.pdf.

I haven't seen them or swung them. However, I have to admit your swing with these clubs is lovely. I agree, who cares if the counter balancing is a real effect or in your head.

The “Experience the Difference” thing they’ve put on the back of the irons needs to go.
