We head out of Long Beach, California in search of some of the biggest tunas in the world!! We find 1000's of schooling fish eating anchovies amongst whales! We catch 6 fish all over 150lbs on flying fish!! We bring the tuna back home to Florida to have an epic sushi night with my family!

The difference in a piece of tuna that’s 2-3 days old and one from say the fish market is huge. That’s why most high end restaurants are buying their fish every few days from local fishermen instead of a big distributor.

Great video Brook! What an amazing experience you, Vik & Denes got to be part of. I was lucky enough to have just returned from a fishing adventure off of the west coast of Vancouver Island catching some chinook, coho, lingcod & halibut. Just waiting for it to be delivered home in NS.

The fishing looked like a lot of fun. 🤗 The food looks absolutely delicious. 😋 The only sashimi - raw seafood, I've had is tuna and salmon. I like the tuna It tastes like cooked oysters. Sushi - Sour rice is good with a lot of things.

West coast "wrap"? whatever he called it, we'd LIKE it in the East! Never reeled in any fish using my armpit! Boiling water full of tuna is something so few people ever get to see and admire! I'm a new subscriber so maybe you have, but if not have you ever tried fishing for blue fins in the winters off the NC coast? WORTH it imho! Just the bye catch is awesome! And we get to see whales as well.
We fished out of cape cod on commercial boats a few times and caught a couple Bluefins, but none of them were big enough!

@@brookcristoutdoorsI tried to paste a link here of a UA-cam video on a recipe, but it doesn’t want to stay. There are different ways to make it. The ingredients include avocado, tuna, crab and a panko covering. Deep fried until light brown and crispy. Do a search on UA-cam for ideas. I’ve also seen had it at a restaurant where they used mushrooms for a more realistic appearance. Delicious!!

Please keep these coming! I realize now at my age and my arthritis I'll never be able to catch one of these. The sad thing is that as apex predators they feed in the bottom of the column and because of that they have so much mercury in them. I worry about young women like you and Gabby as you've not had your kids yet. (Brian and Deb pay me to say that). The other thing as I've watched you and Vic for quite a few years now, I'm guessing you're going to the gym with Vic and I'm seeing you getting nicely cut yet still feminine. Thank you as always for sharing your trips and wonderful family!

Been in the middle of football sized foamers, casting jigs, live bait, boat off….. they won’t eat….. I have only had 1 big BFT roll on my poppers…. Such a frustrating fish when they are eating micro bait…

Call me weird. but I just cannot eat raw fish, cooked I love it and that tuna that was seared was still raw, if I were to eat that I would cook it super well done to the point of being almost scorched or it would gross me out.

Not that you have the reel under the wrong arm you’re using the wrong hand to crank with. Been fishing over 35 years and still can’t understand why a right handed person would want to crank with their strong hand. All my buddy use right handed gear and when we go tuna fishing I land my fish in a quarter of the time it takes them to land their. Left handed 30-50 wide Alutecnos is a beautiful reel, you should give it a try. I see you guys using left handed reels when slow pitch jigging that’s another reason why I don’t understand why you don’t just always use them. I get back in the day there wasn’t many options but now a days there plenty of companies making reels left handed.
