**We'll be working on the camera and audio setup for this series. Zack is terrible at selfies, so we're looking into gimbals and a camera with a front-facing screen.
That was Great ! Thank God, someone who doesn't shave nice marker lights and trim. I love to watch Foose cut bumpers down to tuck them in closer for a clean look, but he filled in the beautiful slit side marker lights and shaved the already flush door handles off a 1970 Cuda, and I was just nauseous lol. 👍👍👍👍
Completely agree! We're a relatively new channel, but that's one thing we strive to do: go in-depth on the c10 and classic truck profiles. It's cool to see a montage or a once-over, but going in on the trucks is what's of value to us, too.
@@TheSmokingTire Thank you. I appreciate that driving a (performance) car new to you demands your concentration and can make holding detailed conversation impossible. I just imagine there are many ppl like myself that like knowing people's setup/personal touches. Love seeing the older rides for sure.
I'm 64..having built my share of trucks and cars over the years this is a VERY nicely done truck..I applaud your efforts on keeping the factory trim and lines..well done
Great video, very informative. Truck is awesome! I like how you preserved the "Classic Character" of the 68 Chevy without going overboard. My Dad had a '68 C10 when I was growing up so this is one of my favorites. Big block is a major plus! I am a 60 year old Motor Head from "back in the day" and I appreciate the passion and interest young guys like y'all display over old school trucks! Thank You and keep on keeping on! Outstanding truck!!
I like that it is "tastefully" built. I get asked all the time if I shaved my 67 C10 but it's because the side markers didn't start until 68, and the base trucks didn't have the side trim. Mine still has the door handles but I do have a roll pan.
These kind of trucks are usually not my cup of tea, but after watching the feature I have to say this is definitely one of the best builds on the channel. Very tastefully done.
thanks for starting these, this is the kind of stuff I've been missing from One Takes. I love garage shows like Finnegan's or The Skid Factory, getting mech details on One Take cars is great
Completely agree! We're a relatively new channel, but that's one thing we strive to do: go in-depth on the c10 and classic truck profiles. It's cool to see a montage or a once-over, but going in on the trucks is what's of value to us, too.
I'm a fan of factory look. The first reason o even watched this, no o didn't see the first post, was Door handles. Nice work Man.. I go more 60s era look for wheel and tire, but I'm not hating. Beautiful work..
veins91 I like doing it. With builds like this there’s so much to see, talk about, and learn about. I like seeing how they did what they did, figment challenges, etc. ZK
Well, it a very well done C10 as one of my favorites as I am into a 67. But in retirement with the income tax they may have, I have to build myself and prefer it. I can tell by the discussion he may have expressed his ideas but someone did the great work shown. It like the question "Is that where the stereo went? He hesitated and said "I think so" or something. I didn't write it down, just getting ideas for the most part what I like or prefer. I like the body side moldings but come on, it's like $1,200 for all that new. I think the used trim pins, or my son calls them nails!!! But sure, a weld hole as to hold them at the end. If they came with studs, then sure, reuse them for the trim. I don't know every vehicle out there but since the late 60's working on anything with a motor and wheel was cool. But I did do everything bumper to bumper on 2,000 to 2,500 vehicles per year and not alway a dealership. This is about the truck and not me. I give it two thumbs up. My first belt drive supercharger was the neighbors Corvair Spider with a McCulloch centrifugal supercharger. I know he needed something fixed but fixed what had, never seen one since. See, off topic again. Decades of repairs run together after, well decades of fixing imports, domestics and other strange stuff. Off the family farm with no allowance, it was saving money paid from neighbors that I spent on a 65 C10 Apache. 283 cu in with a power glide trans. $150 with broken speedo. Oh, thanks to President Carter for the Arab oil embargo that closed thousands of gas stations. Can you say "Odd / Even" days? The license plate last number and the calendar day was odd, then you could buy gas! If even like 4, and you plate ended in a 3, you had to wait! Go google it. DK, ASE master tech since 78, retired.
There's just SO much to cover on builds like this, and you really can't do it justice while driving (because we tend to focus on the driving). And if we sit in the car too long in the beginning, people click away, so this solves all the issues. We hope. :)
It's so good to see a Chevy without an LS are any Project without an LS really LS Motors and Coyote motors are becoming the norm which just sucks and shows that you have no individual thought so good for you mate
The LS engine really is amazing, and we don't discredit it at all for its abilities, but it's nice to experience something else. Big blocks feel different and sound different. So do carbureted engines vs FI.
I just threw my body on a trailblazer and used the 4.2L I6 engine. I wanted to be able to pass a gas station now and then, and have 4 wheel drive with the stock look.
Yeah definitely appreciate more in-depth videos, videos that only concentrate on the drive and beauty shots are cool sure but for petrolheads like me the details is where it’s at. Oh use a gimbal next time I was getting motion sickness watching this after a while lol
Joe Tacchino Gimbals are good for steady shots of things but don’t work as well for selfie stuff. I don’t believe hoonigan uses them for their build bio selfie cams. And sometimes gimbals freak out mid shot when you spin them around (for example, going from selfie angle to engine angle). ZK
Zack, good work but man - please work on your camera work a bit. The mic was cutting in and out, the pan was not always on point. Getting better though.
@@TheSmokingTire Not knowing how to selfie is a blessing - thank god! After all you're not a 15 year old girl. Keep up the good work brother. I may have a car for you in July/August timeframe after the dustball rally.
This can't be this guys truck. He doesn't even know where the original factory radio was. Mention the factory air. That is rare on one of these trucks. I didn't see if this was a leaf spring or track arm truck? The track arms ride so much nicer. If set up correctly they handle better than a leaf also. (Personal opinion) 😉 How do we find things like the paddle shift setup or the 3 point seat belt setup. He didn't show a glove box in the console. Was there a bigger one besides the little one he opened up filled with wires for programming the trans. Which I though was a great idea. Electronic trans you can program plus have an already programmed switchable Race mode. I'm assuming that its switchable on the fly? I have a lot more questions. But I'm sure you can't answer them since it's not your truck. When did you do this video? Thanks for the video. Very clean truck. Must be for sale somewhere??
Lee Olaeta It’s not his truck but he never said it was. He was part of the shop that built the truck, and now he maintains it for the owner. He also AEM and K&N.
Did they feel like they didn't need to box the frame? Maybe the subframe connectors are all that's needed. What is the drop on the suspension? Where is the battery mounted?
Hard to do a good video when the owner and also Zack apparently are not car guys. Or maybe I should say again Zack seemingly doesn't know anything domestic, and nothing older than say a 2010 model year.

I love how you mention Zac from Hoonigan, but the OG Roadkill Muscle Truck has been a template for almost a decade! Long live the muscle trucks!
There's too many shows to keep up with, but I'll say that C10s seem to have gotten more popular in the last few years than they were a decade ago. ZK
