For those of you who aren't familliar with Illustrator, 'Command 8', is a keyboard shortcut used on a Mac to create a 'Compound Path'. If you have a Mac, press the Command key plus the number 8 at the same time. However, the Command key doesn't exist on PCs, so if you have a PC you'll need to press Control 8 (Ctrl + 8) to achieve the same effect. Hope this helps!

I got as far as the delete part. Are you hitting the delete button on the keyboard, in illustrator somewhere, a combination of keys + del. Just could not figure that part out. However, I really do love your video, keep making them...

Yes Illustrator is paid. I think you can pay for a monthly subscription for the Adobe Suite which includes Photoshop and Illustrator.

Elizabeth Mayberry Adobe illustrator is a monthly subscription application. If you are a student, Adobe cuts you a little slack. If you subscribe to their platform, you get monthly access to several tools ...not just Adobe Illustrator, but also photoshop, premier, and more. It works on PC and Mac. The reference to command 8 is for MAC users...it’s the keyboard keys she is referring to...I’m not sure what the keystrokes would be for pc users. SVG is the file type recognized by our design application (for cricut), making it super easy to create just about anything...Images from Adobe illustrator are vector images, not pixel (like the images from Adobe photoshop). Though there are conversion tools and the internet where one can obtain either format for a project (that’s a whole other story). I hope this helps you out a little.

HAHA so many comments asking you to slow down. Not every tutorial on youtube needs to be for people that have never opened the application. There are plenty of tutorials out there for that. Go watch some of those and come back. This video isn't going anywhere. Sheesh...
