I'm not a wanna be but my dad only saw me a few times when I was on 3 then he left my mother with no money and no shelter so I had to live with my grandmother for a couple of years until I had my own home that's when she started dating again but I didn't k how at the time. Once I saw her kiss the guy I felt heartbroken AND I DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHY😣. Right after I saw that I went into a closet and cried for hours until she realized i was in the closet and started to kiss my forehead she said she love me but that's not what I wanted to hear.........No more of my past😊only future
I'm a dad and I thought this song was amazing. At first I was like, "What the fuck?" but then it all came together, the end gets me. Absolutely awesome track. This is why hip hop is the best hop.
Same here. Seeing him cussing at the baby took me off guard at first, but it makes sense now. I can't relate to him, though. I wouldn't give up my kids for the world; doesn't matter where they came from, even if it was my wife's accidental drunk sex. Divorce the girl, and take ownership of the kids. I've come to learn that if a kid grows up without a dad; they're fucked. There are plenty of great, single women out there who love men with kids... but when have you EVER heard of a man who wants to marry a single mom?? I don't even think I would marry a single mom. It's nothing personal, it's just too much of a burden to carry
This guy KNOWS hip hop. deap lyrics, with a beat that curretly touches it. truely a master of the art. I'm so glad your here joynar, exactly what's hip hop been missing for the last decade.

This song I swear 👌🏼 it’s art, you don’t get rap like this no more, Joyner is too underrated I swear. How can people be on mumble rappers over this?! This is real hip hop. Just one of Joyner’s songs is like an album of words to these other rappers, this guy deserves a Grammy and more! He deserves more recognition
Jermaine Donnelly right, it’s like hip hop got lost in some mumbled translation lol. I really hope people start to realise what the Rap game is about. Doesn’t always have to be sex, drugs and auto tune, with words repeated over and over again. Eminem picked this boy up, let’s just sit back and watch people’s view on music start to change... I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed 🤞🏼
Jermaine Donnelly 💯 💯💯 his lyrics are just insane and he’ll get everything he should’ve had a long time ago. Every video I’ve seen is art. Incredible! Thanks for the replies btw 😊
Released on Joyner Lucas’s birthday, this song depicts a young father (played by Joyner) yelling at his infant son about his unwanted existence. As time begins to pass and the child becomes a toddler, Joyner discovers he isn’t his biological son. Subsequently, Joyner kicks out the boy and his girlfriend to fend for themselves. But just as the song reaches its peak, Joyner switches the script. That is what this song really means.
He never said that bruh to quote joyner "This record is not about me. It's about any man who has been in a relationship with a woman who cheated & had a child with another man while the man stays & actually fathered the child even tho the child isn't biologically his. I actually wrote the script to the video before I wrote the record. I'm always trying to create conceptual records that haven't been touched on before.. this is emotional art."
The song that really got me on to Joyner. 3 years later here we are goddamn. This boy has grown up. Proud to say I’ve been fw him for this long 💯 #JoynerSeason
Way better than what he used to get, before he blew up I remember his most popular vid was his suicide one and it only had 10 million on it. All his other songs were in the hundred thousands.
You know what I hate about this, it seems no one understands this song. Edit: Ok, for any people replying to me and saying you got it first listen or I'm trying to be deep or whatever, understand that 3 years ago when this song started blowing up a lot of people, mostly reaction channels, dismissed it because of the imagery without really paying attention. So during the time, people weren't understanding it. That's literally all I meant with my comment. I'm not trying to be a know it all or whatever. It's not that deep. It's pretty easy to understand, or well it SHOULD be. So for all you people commenting about how easy it was to get, I really don't care. My comment wasn't aimed at you. Don't let these likes fool you, this comment was nothing more than an afterthought. I had no intention of receiving alot of feedback for this. Shit just happens sometimes. Also, sorry to all the people that asked me questions here that I didn't respond to. They were lost in the notifications. That's all I have to say about this. Have a great day. Stay safe during quarantine.
Salute to the real fathers. Even though he hated the reality of circumstances. He, the Original Man cheated of his dream still gave a fathers love to his son

OK so after listening to the entire song for the first time, I get what it's about. The heartbreak and pain that comes with finding out a baby isn't yours, being stuck with the kid, and how the anger can be misdirected at said kid, even though it's not their fault. But what got me was this is the first time I've ever heard of Joyner Lucas, and his music. So I thought this dude is roasting the absolute *shit* out of that baby for no reason. +Richexrich please watch the fucking video and listen to the lyrics.. For Christ sake
I swear this song deserves a grammy. It has everything (good beat, lyrics, acting and a powerful message.)
I teared up im the end when you got on the floor and held the baby... Because in all reality it's never the kids fault. This is a deep message .. Good shit 🎧🔥🔥💯
same man
bro could you imagine being 11, searching your dad's name on the internet and seeing this shit from 2015? god damn
HAHAHA goddamn but hey he loves his son now
His son wasn't born yet when this came out tho
Damn now I'm thinking hard about this imagine Joyner son listening to his music and then this plays
You lot are missing the message in the song
How are you ppl missing the msg this much
i feel bad for all the children who are brought into this mess because of adults making ignorant decisions
that a fact
I know how that feels my mom brought me into this world but she dose not even want me
@@alexamelendez6648 same here
Me to ! This come on while I was in the shower and made me mad and sad all at the same time ! Had to listen to it again to get the meaning
This song is so underrated. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
💯💯💯💯
I'm a dad and I thought this song was amazing. At first I was like, "What the fuck?" but then it all came together, the end gets me. Absolutely awesome track. This is why hip hop is the best hop.
I love that kid
lee chan why?
This shit hard, can hear the eminem influence. Has such raw emotion in his lyrics!
+Brian J i dont hear it
+Dre R then why are you here? Get out if you don't like what you hear
+DreamsageRap I'm here because I like the song... he just doesn't sound like Eminem.. wtf are you talking about?
+DreamsageRap why don't you stfu and learn to understand wtf someone is saying before you open your mouth.
+DreamsageRap or type on your keyboard like a keyboard warrior.
Can't believe i'd never heard of Joyner until after "Lucky You" with Eminem. His writing touches you deep down and many can relate
There's a reason why Eminem wanted to write with Joyner,
Even the rap god saw something in him
How tf does this only have 13m views in 2024. Should be well over 100 million
This guy KNOWS hip hop. deap lyrics, with a beat that curretly touches it. truely a master of the art. I'm so glad your here joynar, exactly what's hip hop been missing for the last decade.
Guy Levy you spelled Joyner wrong and u said deap how the fuck you gonna talk about what hip hop needs
+WaffleEnforcer he completely fucked all of that up lol
WaffleEnforcer lmao
Guy Levy 👏👏👏.....Word!!
Deap? It's deep* and also it's You're*
Powerful song about loving a kid that isn't yours. Not because you have to, but because they need it.
So this is how it feels in these lyrics, deep feelings Amen
I was introduced to Joyner Lucas for the first time today via UA-cams INCESSANT suggestion of "Broski".
1) THANK YOU UA-cam
2) That was about 4 hours ago. I have been watching everything on his page for 4 HOURS!!!
3) NOwhere near done.
4) I love his work.
5) As much as I hate being tracked and such, really, thank you UA-cam. This was a gift.
What’s your fav song so far
his videos tell a story and I like rappers who actually rap about real shit
This song I swear 👌🏼 it’s art, you don’t get rap like this no more, Joyner is too underrated I swear. How can people be on mumble rappers over this?! This is real hip hop. Just one of Joyner’s songs is like an album of words to these other rappers, this guy deserves a Grammy and more! He deserves more recognition
Well said. I don't understand why they don't recognize him. He bringin back the real HIP HOP 🔥
@@IamPaige1111 He will emerge from where he is. He got a lot to go. He is a Genius.

That is what this song really means.
he started hating the baby after he knew it wasn't his.
Joyner in this video is actually the baby, Joyner is playing his own dad
How do u know?
@@dazzlingdede783 he said it a while ago
But it's about his internal conflict about raising a child that is not his
@@onfleekduhh4794 yeah, but its his dad saying all this, he is the baby, if you remember his song Forever, thats about his actual kid
Proud to say I’ve been fw him for this long 💯 #JoynerSeason
this is an absolute fire beat
Whoever is cutting onions, please stop.
same couldn't get it out of my head
Ok
Ryan can you fucking stop
No
Ye quit cutting onions
When this dropped I was already thinking she was out doing me wrong. This whole same situation happened and I ain’t been the same since

I almost made it dammit, I had to start tearing up when he hug the child.

It takes a real man to raise another man’s child. Even though blood is thicker than water, blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb
Lil pump: mumbe*
Makes 860 mil views
Joyner: says deep stuff and makes a point
Usually less than 70 mil views
Fabian Felix Rodriguez 70 million is a Fucking lot
On average less than 20mil
Well said and true.
Way better than what he used to get, before he blew up I remember his most popular vid was his suicide one and it only had 10 million on it. All his other songs were in the hundred thousands.
They don't understand deep stuff they just wanna flex
Honestly
the song is really powerful
Agent 47 I do from day one
I knew from the beginning what it was bout
Not talking about you guys just people like Cat World who don't understand the message xD
Salute to the real fathers. Even though he hated the reality of circumstances. He, the Original Man cheated of his dream still gave a fathers love to his son

RRREEEE
WOOOOOOAAAAAHHH did not expect this. one of the best songs to have came out last year and i'm only just hearing it now
Joyner your a legend
You're*
OK so after listening to the entire song for the first time, I get what it's about. The heartbreak and pain that comes with finding out a baby isn't yours, being stuck with the kid, and how the anger can be misdirected at said kid, even though it's not their fault. But what got me was this is the first time I've ever heard of Joyner Lucas, and his music. So I thought this dude is roasting the absolute *shit* out of that baby for no reason. And the first minute was so confusing it was hilarious
