For outdoor enthusiasts like me, who primarily use it for small spaces like camping tents, the cooling capacity of Zero Breeze Mark II is more than enough. Trust me, it keeps my tent super cool and comfortable, even in the hottest summer days. It's a total game-changer for my outdoor adventures!
I installed zero breeze in my sprinter van. I wouldn't ever describe it as a " mini blender chugging away"😅. Its quiet enough and has a slight white noise sound masking any outside sounds. Good for sleeping. Cooling capacity is great for night time use and depends on how well you insulate your van. The physical size is why i purchased. Eco flow is larger, heavier and requires more power which can drain your Batts down if you operate thru the night. Also if you're needing heat, just run the exhaust air hose into your cabin. There's always a hot side/cold side to AC units. If power consumption and space aren't an obsticle the Eco Flo would be a nice choice.
Well, thanks a bunch for sharing your experience. We said that line because, in comparison, the noise zero breeze generates is noticeable. But, nonetheless, it gets the job done pretty nicely being that compact. Kudos to that!
What a terrrible excuse for a review comparison! Zero specification facts presented, only biased opinions with no facts for why the opinion was being presented in that way. Might as well have just been an advertisement from EcoFlow.
We're sorry if you felt offended by the video, that was just our opinion soley based on our experience. Zero Breeze also has its advantages which we mentioned.
You have your facts on refrigerant types partially mixed up, R290(which is what the Wave2 uses) is propane, which is flammable. The refrigerant the zerobreeze uses is non-flammable. R290 is the way to go either way.
I'm in the process of picking an outdoor air conditioner for my rooftop tent and have looked into several options. It seems that 5000 BTU struggles against the daytime heat of the Florida sun 🌞, while 2300 BTU is just right for the tent at night. For portability, easy setup, and comfortable sleeping, I'm going with a Makr 2. I think I've found my answer! 🙌
I own both the Zero Breeze and Wave1, and after watching the video, I believe that the Mark2 is still the optimal choice for my outdoor activities. Wave2 can only be powered by Ecoflow's own battery and power storage, which means I cannot use my other brand's power storage and battery systems, which is frustrating for me. The connection cable between the air conditioner and the battery is indeed very clumsy and prone to getting lost. It cannot be placed between the front seats like the ZB Mark2. I am aware of the quality issues with Wave1, such as fan axle breakage and display failure, which is a concern for users. It's difficult to predict when these issues might occur. I am unsure if Wave2 has truly addressed these problems since Ecoflow has not shared any related improvement measures with us during this period.
Well, the Ecoflow does work with the other power stations. But other than that, you're absolutely right! Those little things actually matter. Thanks so much for sharing. Cheers!
Just spent 3 nights in my vw T6 camper in 38 C / 85 percent humidity conditions. Wave 2 worked fantastically once I sorted out the water condensation issues. Will read instructions next time before using. Set the temp at 16 C. Temperature of air outflow into the van was 4.6.C Connected to AC power.
I just purchased this and cannot believe how poorly it works. I own three other EF units and was excited for the chance to cool our tiny home off solar. After 24 HOURS it dropped temp in a 10x10 bedroom by 1.5 degrees! Condenser never blows truly cold air. Hoses are very short (6') and very cheap and flimsy, as are the vent covers. Returned it after one weekend of use. Could not be more disappointed, especially for $2500 CDN. Poor service too. Will not be buying from Ecoflow again
Wow... did you actually read the manual to know how to operate the Wave 2 properly? Also, 10x10 is a pretty big ask to cool it. Was it insulated? Were you exhasting into the room or externally with the hose and taking in fresh air that was heated higher than ambient temperature internally?
The wave2 can only be powered by ecoflow's own battery and energy storage, I have other brands of energy storage and battery systems and it doesn't work, which annoys me. The battery that comes with the Wave 2 can't be charged by itself, it must be connected to the air conditioner to charge it, which is really silly design. In sleep mode I think the MK2 is less noisy than the Wave2.
The Wave 2 can run all functions from AC power with no battery attached. This allows other brands of portable power stations with at least 600W capability to power the unit.
I’m using a Vtoman 1800 power station with its battery and works just fine, but it is better to use the EcoFlow station with the DC cable if anyone already has the EcoFlow station there’s no need to get the wave 2 battery.
I thought I wouldn't need heat on the Wave 2.... right up to 1am with all off us freezing are butts off In a T4 Plus Overland. The heating saved my butt and helped my lady enjoy her 1st camping trip. It did kill my battery by 6am though and that busted my AC plans for the day. The heating function does have a drawback. It condenses a ton of water and ideally it is best to use the automatic drain function or it will shut off when the tank is full. I did not appreciate the puddle that formed outside the tent, but I did appreciate my woman being comfortable. Its nice to have that option of heat. A diesel heater would be a better option for hear imo but incase of emergency... the Wave 2 came through.
The eight hours claimed by Ecoflow is not true. The cooling power of the air conditioner is 540W, and the battery capacity is 1159wh. It can’t last for 3 hours under high consumption. Continuous cooling is important to me, and there is no option for two batteries.
I own the Wave 2 in extremely HOT AND HUMID Florida summer tent camping. ⛺️ ; get 2 extra detachable batteries, and 1 power station. I use the VTOMAN FLASH 1500. GAME CHANGER!!!
@@goOutdoorZone the solar charging is not really needed once you have 2 detachable batteries plus VTOMAN 3000kwh power station; unless you plan on being off grid for more than a week without access to any conventional AC charging.
I really would like to see how they do in a Crua insulated tent. How long will they last and how cool will u b in a humid summer. Does anyone know of any videos that show one of these being used for tent camping?
I don't have any pictures of it being setup for using the summer I don't have either one of those air conditioners and that's part of the reason I haven't gone camping this summer is because I have the crew Duo Max with the culla insert you almost definitely need an air conditioner or something in one of those tents in the summer , so once I have the money for that I'll be going camping alot more , and I've owned my crua for 3 years now I will tell you it is one badass tent but it's misleading when they first came out that said it keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter but if you have an air conditioner will keep it super cool I have put an air conditioner in there before but it was a portable air conditioner I did that just to test the theory is cedar keep it cool once you had an air conditioner in there in that part does work but I'm no expert on the zero breeze or any of the other stuff so hopefully by next summer I'll know more on this topic.
I have an insulated big rig with 8 big rig batteries. The ecoflow2 on eco mode it lasts all 8 hours but you better hope it's not above like 82 degrees outside because it can't cool my quite small lower bunkbed-like space. Manual lowest settings lasts 6 hours before the 8 batteries need charged. The drain mode is broken and floods the truck and customer service is useless
The 134a refrigerant is not flammable, however the R290 in the Wave 2 is basically propane. 134a is the same refrigerant you have in your car air-conditioning.
Can I use any solar panel like my renogy panels as well as any battery with the Wave 2? Currently, I see the Breeze Mark 2 as more versatile and versatility counts more me. And, for a prepper, this is important.
This is not a good comprehensive review. You failed to mentioned Ecoflow uses a lot more energy than Zero Breeze. The main selling point of Zero Breeze is a compromise between its cooling power & low energy as people will be using it outdoors. Why don't you tell people how much power each needed if to run 8 hours of sleeping time.
It was really heavy and the with the extra battery it still didn’t last long. You need to use a power station or solar panels which added to the cost . When temperatures reach high levels sometimes it would throw out out air.
Eco flow would be better if I could power it with whatever “battery” I want. basically there are options for DC to DC air conditioning cooling. Might be worth checking if you don’t want the eco flow family of products…
Ecoflow isn't portable enough as advertised. it's heavier, larger, and can't be lifted with one hand. It's portable, yes. but not enough for most people.
It's definitely heavy to carry with one hand. But we think most people carry it inside their car trunk. Then carrying from the trunk to the campsite with both hands isn't really that big of a deal.
