I need this .45 to hang with my EDC Springfield Armory Hellcat 9mm, both are such great firearms 😎🤘 *UPDATE 08/09/22* Just put 300 rounds through it at the range last Monday, it was flawless! Not one jam, every round fired perfectly and accurately. Once again Springfield Armory for the win, this is my current favorite in my collection.
I'm in love with mine too, no failures put 250 rounds the first day and sighted it in with my Holosun 508T green dot it was damn near zeroed. But its a sniper popping balloons at 100-150 yards even, ran out of room but holding over a tad, a bit more at 200 to 250 next!
I'ma always Georgia's Glock wherehouse stores the most affordable cheaper to maintain and will always shoot anything but so will Springfield and berreta and shoot more or easier to shoot accurate I'm leaning more towards Springfield and berreta
I have the 9mm and can't believe how accurate it is. Even with my old eyes I'm still hitting targets at ranges that gave me trouble with my other pistols. I have a few XD 45's in various sizes but I might have to pick one up anyway.
Really? The 10mm really made me get rid of my .45 ut just seemed pointless, the .45 holds less and wont open up HP's unless they are +P's, my Elite 3.8 in 10mm holds 12+1 so im not sure why people keep saying its only a +1 extention, its a +2 extention in the 10mm

I have the XDS-9 M2, and waiting for my XDM 45 OSP Elite to come in. I'm of the opinion that S.A. made a mistake by discontinuing this pistol even though I know their marketing people would argue otherwise.Without even realizing it, I've become a S.A. fan via the 1911 grip safety., a no nonsense simple feature that other manufacturers would do well to implement from selling point angle.
It's a Springfield with top of the line gun parts, I love this pistol but I'm in love with and I have thousands of rounds of 10mm I have the 4.5 but I have to get this 3.8 it's going to be my 2nd and only optic pistol
If you're going to go through the trouble of milling the slide for a red dot, why not add sights that you can see through the optic? Electronic devices can fail and if you can't see your iron sights, you are severely limited.
Is this easy to carry with the hex dragonfly? It’s super comfy w/o the sight. Im thinking about getting the sight either the dragon fly or the wasp. Any info would be appreciated.
I own 2 XDs 45acp's. How does the 45 XDM in this video shoot compared to the XDS? Anyone have any opinions? I was about to grab a hellcat pro this Wknd, but I love the XDs and XD line. Hard choice 💯..
@@Vladpryde It's an OSP.. suppressor height sights are so you can co-witness with a red dot.. he's right. It's the only real complaint I have against this gun (that an the gap between the slide and frame on the rear).. I bought the damn thing in 10mm with the Hex Dragonfly and I need to install aftermarket suppressor height sights which is stupid if it comes with a red dot..
@@Sigrafix I agree it's stupid but it's for cost because they send the same sights on the one with and without the red dot. So the only difference in the models is the red dot is installed. Also the suppressor height sights that it would come with may not be to your liking, or maybe some people don't want co-witnessing sights. Either way I think its just easier that they do it this way and let you decide what you want
Why don't they ever get rid the pointless magwell before they do these reviews and let us see what the grip looks like with the extended mag?! C'mon guys
The grip size without the magwell is near identical to a Glock 19 (overall this gun is pretty comparable to a Glock 19 in dimensions). When I got it, the first thing I did was remove the mag well.
I carry the Glock 30S and this XDM E is set up just like the 30 S. There are a couple comparisons of them on UA-cam. I didn't set out to buy this. Had an Sig 320 on layaway but couldn't find a modular frame for..45acp.cal. Can't wait to try this pistol and see if it can hang with my Glock 30 S. Not a Glock Fanboy ( only one I have ever owned since 2010). EDC carried it since an have NO COMPLAINTS. Curious to see what type of accuracy I can squeeze from those sites. Not fan of rear site markings, I like the black. That Red tube really jumps out at you though. Range time today hopefully.
@@c.h.u.d Maybe. If you have cartoon hands with only 3 fingers with this magwell. Otherwise, its damn uncomfortable. At least thats the case for me. If you have a full size grip like a Compact G19 length then yes. But the magwell in this configuration is absurd.
Call desantis and order a mini scabbard for the xdm 3.8 45cal. Leave out the elite compact crap because they'll say that they don't make one. I ordered mine and it fits like a glove. It's an leather o.w.b., inside kydex I couldn't tell ya.
I prefer the original one I had. The only improvement is the sights and ability to mount an optic. The magwell sucks then take it off there is a gap. The trigger is not really improved, even though they say it is. Does not break as crisp as the old model.
$850.00 for the dragonfly?? $650.00 for the base model from the sellouts over at sprangfield The most uncomfortable compact on the market. I would have felt the biggest ouch in gun history if I had paid those prices for the poly pistol being displayed. The XDM's must been designed on a Friday just as the new years eve party was starting. The grips are terrible, the design and operation of the XD, and XDM's is okay, and rarely has any problems if ever, but they were poorly designed as for ergonomics and comfort. Ambi is always awesome but these 2 pistols would never be worth those prices even 2 yrs ago. I made the mistake of buying one compact 45 elite and I had to trade it off to get rid of it. I paid 550.00 at a gun show. We learn, we learn.

Bought the 10mm version 4 weeks ago and when I saw the 45 2 days in the shop I pounced on it. Its a great shooter just like the 10mm

I got rid of my magwell on my XDS Mod 2 and added the extended mag and now I have a full size COMFORTABLE grip. I would totally do the same with this.

The Elite series is also the M series so it would say "XD-M" also I think it says Elite on the gun if it's an Elite series
