- In this episode of Expert Voices, join Frank Everett in an exploration of an extraordinary sapphire and diamond bracelet by Cartier. Made in 1927, this masterpiece was created during what many consider the golden era for the prestigious jewelry house. The bracelet is adorned with a stunning Royal Blue Burmese sapphire, weighing 47.07 carats, flanked by two pear-shaped white diamonds weighing 9.27 and 8.60 carats respectively. This dazzling bracelet captures the essence of Art Deco grandeur and will be the centerpiece of Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels Auction. (11-13 November| Geneva)

What a great sapphire cabochon. It could easily have been faceted, (unfortunately losing maybe 25% of the weight), but the jeweler recognized its historical value, and preserved it. I love the old mine cut diamonds too. They have character, whereas most modern brilliants do not.
Is it possible for a piece of jewelry to be so beautiful that you cry? LOL. Oh my goodness! This piece is spectacular!
I have seen a lot of jewelry over the years but that is simply magnificent. That is something that is truly extraordinary. I only hope that someone buys it and wears it.
Yes me
Wow. The stones!
I love it when you present not only the magnificent jewelry but also its history!
That bracelet is truly gorgeous 💙
Agreed. and probably way outside my budget.
Beautiful.... just beautiful 😘
Beautiful,, and sapphires are my favourite🇮🇪😊
Thank you for sharing this video did a beautiful job of highlighting this beautiful piece.
Despite of it’s been years this bracelet looks contemporary, I can’t believe it’s created in 1927
I love stones rounded instead of cut
Absolutely beautiful.Thats one lucky lady who gets to wear this bracelet.😍
Great presentation equiste jewelry never depreciates~
Beautiful love sapphires
Such a magnificent piece. And always great to see Frank.
Thank you Frank Everett...it is incredible !!!
Simply beautiful.
Wow...mamma mia che bello!!! 👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙋🍀💅
Well, maybe it’s because I am male, that I prefer watching jewels, rather than having the dream of possessing them. In my opinion the worst thing people can do is, to buy pieces of this extraordinary craftsmanship, just to put them into a safe. When they aren’t worn, owners should exhibit jewels like this one of a kind and pick them up, when they want to wear it.
fantastic .......
Beautiful craftmanship and value...
It would have been nice to see this amazing bracelet on a model.
I would dye for this bracelet!
Wow. so beautiful .
It really does need to be shown on a wrist for scale. Each pear shaped diamond is 10 carats! That's huge!!! Our loss ☹️
Natural unheated Burmese Cabochon sapphire of this transparency and size is extremely rare.
It also shows the typical electric (royal) blue color and fully saturated.
With both ( 2) antique cut of D-color diamonds makes this bracelet more valuable and attractive.
His much was it sold for in the end?
Beautiful bracelet!
Beautiful piece ❤
WOW, what a beauty

A Ruby would be nice to see on this bracelet.
I’ll take two
One for each wrist? I like your style. :-)
I wonder if cartier would ever reveal its history before 1927

Damn... Why can’t I find that metal detecting a park.
Who was the original owner in 1927?
Who owned it until it was sold and resold?
I'm sure that it's been part of some awesome collections
and worn to some amazing events/ .
Zafiros de Ceylán o Cachemira?
No desire for priceless dazzling junk. I’m thankful for that, it’s a nice feeling. I’m free !
This needs a hand model to show off properly good looking deco bracelet though .
I prefer cabochon to faceted. I always think they are trying to hide something when a stone is faceted. Although the the emerald cut is a beautiful cut, allows you to look into the depth of the stone.

Mooi voor je vrouw
Someone please explain me how Cartier FINDS gems of historic value? They wouldn't be lying in dirt? Never do They use words like- bought/exchanged/gifted. Or is it some valuable piece of historic and monetary value STOLEN and FOUND is the word used to cover it all up??
Seems like I answered my question
@Taps fan in India, the Maharajas would not sell their diamonds, since they were regarded as status symbol and after the East India company annexed Indian states, the Maharajas spent all the more in jewelry and artifacts, that they would rather sell, as they didn't have to spend on army and other stuff.
BTW what about the other historical artifacts like statues and other things in British museum?? I hope they were also gifted to the Queen of the queens or sold to the Company to get the jewelry for themselves or in exchange for food/technology for the Indian mass??
They were supplied to them by the Indian maharaja's. They would trade it in for other jewellery
Daddy! Please buy this for me!!!
What a beauty.....Would have been nice if he had used the french pronunciation of Cartier. It sounds so much nicer for something as beautiful as this and with an auction value of $2,000,000-£3,000,000. Hard to imagine what it must be like to be able to pay $3,000,000 (or more) for a bracelet. WOW!
Grown in a lab quite soon.
Gift for a lawyer 🕗
It’s only worth what someone will pay for it I offer a £100
An exceptional item for facilitating money laundering
