    I remember when my mother bought this car back in 2005 and she still has it and drives it up until this day. It now has close to 300,000 miles on it within the 16 years her car is still going very strong. She was on top of all of the maintenance too but it was nothing major. I love this car and it’s apart of my childhood. This car will run forever.

      It really is a brilliant car. Lexus IS notorious for being over-engineered. It shows in their quality and longevity.

    This is a great time to buy one, I see them for under $3k and these import owners usually take care of them. The luxury minivans are also going cheap right now , I had a 2000 Chrysler van but the wiring was ruined Bc of the previous owner.

    • @_5MCR

      It is a great time to buy. You get a fantastic car for a more than reasonable price. Chrysler van? Cool! I reviewed a Pacifica a couple years back and actually liked it. Not a fan of vans, but the Pacifica was really nice.

      They are a little high now because the used car market is crazy due to Covid. Prices should drop soon, just a matter of waiting it out. I saw one in North Carolina for just under $4k

      @_5MCR  2 роки тому

      It may take awhile for prices to drop. Very unstable time in the car world. I suppose it depends on what your long term goal is with the car. If it’s something you want to keep awhile, grab it. There is someone willing to pay the price. If it’s something you want to try to flip, don’t bother, I wouldn’t waste the money. Good luck sir!

    Good review. Have you driven any Camrys to compare it to? I am considering buying a es 330 or a 2006 Camry. You confirm all the other reviewers saying the ride quality is like "cloud"

    • @_5MCR
      @_5MCR  3 роки тому

      I have driven a Camry before. In fact I’ve owned a 1994 Camry. They are very nice. The ride wasn’t as good and it did have as much power. Compared to each other, I’d say the Lexus was hands down more comfortable and just an overall smoother ride. If given the choice, I’d pick the Lexus.

    • @zakmoon7065

      This generation Lexus IS one of the few older rides that feels like an actual cloud to drive and I think that’s awesome

    If you want technology a dash kit costs $25 and after that you just pick out whatever technology you want to put in it. It's not hard to upgrade the tech in old cars these days with the aftermarket parts available.

    I bought the same car a month ago 196.000 Milles and the transmission started to jerk and slipping, I read that the computer has to be updated to fix the problem, You know anything about it?

    • @_5MCR
      @_5MCR  2 роки тому +1

    What is the difference between 2003 ES300 and your ES330?

    • @_5MCR
      @_5MCR  4 роки тому

      Essentially it’s a difference of engine displacement from 3.0 liter V6 to a 3.3 liter V6. With this you also got a slight increase in horsepower from 210 hp to 225 hp. Not a huge difference and if there is a significant difference in price go with the less expensive as they are both very good engines.

    • @805NAVE
      @805NAVE 4 роки тому +7

      02-03 has 3.0 L V6, 04-06 years have 3.3L. The 05-06 years got the facelift -newer Projector Xenon headlamps -redesigned taillights -newer wheel rim style -different interior color options -COOLED seats were added -new steering wheel design with different buttons -grille slats were slightly different -chrome strip on trunk lid, and I think that’s it haha.
      These were still optional:
      - Chroms rims (alloy were standard)
      - voice controlled touch screen navigation infotainment system,
      - automatic rain sensing wipers,
      - mark levinson premium audio system
      - power adjustable pedals
      - power rear sunshade
      - sport turning suspension
      My 2006 ES330 has ALL options except for the power adjustable pedals

    bro I am from saudi I need to know what about his item it is cheap or not like usually car

    • @_5MCR
      @_5MCR  3 роки тому

      As far as price, it’s cheap. Luxury cars depreciate a lot, even for a well built Lexus. As far as materials, the car is well built and this particular example wasn’t very well cared for. That being said all the buttons worked, engine and transmission were strong and ac blew cold. The only let down were the leather seats which were cracked and worn. More of a care problem than a quality problem I’d assume.

      @@srg_5941 sounds like it’s expensive work to get done. You’ll probably spend nearly that much to fix it. I’d pass on that. If was some easy maintenance like brakes or tires, it’d be worth it, this seems like a bad deal. Someone offloading their issues to someone else.
