Doc, you should visit Zimbabwe sometime. Have been following you for a while and the similarities between how we do things down here in Zim and you guys in Uganda is intriguing!! The info you share with us for free is priceless!
I m doing this and getting better results. For me I would prefer to cultivate an Azolla farm as it is very rich in protein, contains several vitamins, lots of minerals and amino acids. Azolla can be used as feed supplement on both fresh or dry as well.
hi doc, I follow your videos with great interest from Belgium. Regarding BSF, scientific research shows that you may replace max 50% soya with BSF maggots.I suspect it is a matter of the composition/ratios of the different amino acids.
Hi doc, I'm Samuel from Nigeria. I just loose over 250 birds out of 500 due to gumboro vaccine administration , Please how do you manage to administer gumboro vaccine in deep litre system please a full video on that...
Dr try visiting doctor Emma naluyima coz she feeds her chicken with both maggots and fodder maybe she will teach you on how to balance it since she's a veterinary doctor and farmer
Your very honest,at first i thought you were ignorant on the magic of BsF but its true they need work and you cant divide your attention on both ends....
Hi Dr. Daniel. A lot of BSFL producers have perfected the science. They get consistent nutrients composition in their finished product(mostly dried larvae & frass) by feeding their larvae the exact same thing, with the exact same management practices every cycle/production. Bigger companies(e.g in Nigeria) provide you with a proximate analysis of the dried BSFL on demand. If you had that, you could compound your feed to your liking.
My brother, why grow foreign birds when Africa has many chicken sized ground birds of her own? Spurfowl and guineafowl are chicken sized examples that come to mind. Asia domesticed chickens, america turkeys, when is continental africa gonna promote 1 of her own? Grow your bird feed. Sorghum, sunflower, and pearl millet is a standard mix. People also farm mealworms and crickets which are sold fresh and dried. If you wanna go large scale you have to build the whole system to support it or you fail.
Hi Doc...i believe you will get back to BSF again. The way to go about it without 'gamble' is to do a proximate analysis of your BSF. The cost of the proximate analysis will be small compared to the benefits. When you do start fish farming we are here to match your passion!
I would never knowingly eat or purchase chickens that have eaten maggots. I get it, chickens eat worms, but it's just me. I'm sure many others will agree.
Better to eat chickens that eat feed than cheaper maggots. The maggots are absolutely disgusting .ps eat chickens that eat feed not maggots.otherwise dont eat chickens at all.ppl are getting greedier and greedier and they dont care what their animals.eat. better to become vegetarians.
I pray your UA-cam channel grows to a millions subscribers 🙏🏾
Dr Daniel, thank you for great information. have been following and just started a chicken farm. all the way from Namibia
Shout from Nigeria. Amazing work doc.

How do you train you chickens to go to the laying house when they want to lay?
Any1 please help me out or link me to a video
Hello Dr. My layers are in th 19th week nd are not laying. What should i do?
Dr try visiting doctor Emma naluyima coz she feeds her chicken with both maggots and fodder maybe she will teach you on how to balance it since she's a veterinary doctor and farmer
Remember she does it at a small scale...
There is a great difference between commercial farming and homestead
You have not shown how to make the maggots
Always educative
❤ great video!
Your very honest,at first i thought you were ignorant on the magic of BsF but its true they need work and you cant divide your attention on both ends....
Hi doc, would you give your chickens fermented feed, what do you think about it...
You are right doc. This innovation is not appropriate for commercial farmers like you. They are suitable for smallholder farmers with little capital.
I have always been curious. Why not use local chicken layers which are said to be better than the layers?
in terms of number of eggs layers are unbeatable.
Homesteading and commercial operations are different.
Why do you have to dry the larvae?
Thx so much Dr,
hallo dr
how do i book chicks from farmup
This is a double thumbs up, hahaha great video
Amazing knowledge doc. I love the energy
Thank you
You should look into raising roaches! They are so easy and kept in bins and fed scraps!
😮😮😮😮
I keep saying this for yrs
Ew. Are you able to keep 100% of them from escaping?
Isn't it poisonous for birds?
Have you tried Azolla?
What happened to the guy you visited with Maya?
Can you make a video how to grow any kind of green leaves 🍃 for chicken as fast as possible in pots. 🇵🇰

That's if you buy the final product. But then it doesn't offer the price cut advantage. Only makes sense if you're using the waste yourself
👍🏿 good job man good job
Am new here from kenya
With how many chickens did you start with?
here in Pakistan 🇵🇰 ....rate of corn is not much high just little high but soya bean and canola bean is high 4th times
Totally understand
Have you tried crickets

So start raising pigs and you will have more certainty about the level of protein in there.

He did it. He said that protein content is by far the most relevanr factor.
What about turkey..can we feed turkey with maggots
My teacher, the sound isn't balanced. Please check out on your mics.
Have you ever considered trying duck weed?
Houw to do
You are inspired me bro i need you to advice me more about this business to Zimbabwe i hope 1 day I'll invite you
very confusing for newbie
I cant get the main point here, u not feeding ur chicken maggots...what are u feeding them then
For me i think maggot gives a good results
He is not "thinking": he does the math.
👍
Your just confused. The bsf is the best
I would never knowingly eat or purchase chickens that have eaten maggots. I get it, chickens eat worms, but it's just me. I'm sure many others will agree.
How would you do the difference?
😂imagine what waste comes out of us....but we are still healthy beings🤔😂
