Cheryl, here's my advise for you. Ive seen and lived a mismatched sex life post marriage, and honestly it can destroy lives and families. Its good to be opyimistic, but also have that pessimistic convo with your future partner - what is he/you prepared to endure? Try to play out all the scenarios.
The book of Songs speaks about the pleasure of having sex, but it’s limited between the husband and wife, both of them are supposed to find out what kind of sex is their thing, which includes the couple learning what the spouse likes and doesn’t like, and that’s a way you develop deeper love and take care of your spouse
I saved sex for marriage, as did my husband. We don’t feel like we were deprived or forced to do so because of religion, rather we viewed it as a deeply intimate aspect of a relationship that should be kept for a spouse. And we also believe that is how God designed sex to be enjoyed to its fullest. We didn’t discuss so concretely about what we would do if we ended up not enjoying sex but I think we both knew we would be willing to seek help if we ran into any issues.
Hmm… might have been better to get a religious leader who could better explain the religion? Cheryl didnt seem to fully know why nor explain it properly 😅
A reasonable compromise is to not hold any wedding banquet and expensive events. Just sign the marriage documents. That way if you are not sexually comparable and it is a serious enough issue, divorce (inclusive of the wedding) isn't that expensive.
Cheryl is so beautiful and well-spoken though... she should be on the show more regularly! Dan is also eloquent as always analogising sexuality to cookie crumbs lmao
Don’t get the wrong perspective of the bible from tis video. These people did not explain it well. In fact they hv a poor understanding of the bible. Go read from the source which is the bible. Give yourself a chance. Don’t jump to conclusions based on tis poor video
She was not single by choice. She already said that guys who she likes don't like her. Sexual chemistry is very important. If you keep it till after marriage, and then find out that you're not compatible, it's gonna be too late. And eventually your marriage will fail too.
It can go either way who decide to save for marriage…. Post marriage if there is a mismatch in sexuality compatibility… there going to be a problem…. But if it great it super great … 👍
To be honest I think it is. Because you wouldn’t have any idea of your SO’s sexual preference? But if both parties agree to that condition then it’s fine I guess.
27:35 "no but i'm sure that in couple counselling, they'll have spoken about it..." how naive... i went thru the same with my wife and waiting for church couple/marriage counselling teaches you nothing about it. there's no one who would openly and frankly talk about it. you'll learn more from this podcast than from these useless couple counselling sessions about sex.
My pre-marriage counselling did talk about it briefly, I agree there should be more honestly and transparency about intimacy in marriage for couples planning to get married, but there’s also an onus on the couples themselves to find out more. Personally I spoke to trusted friends and ended up being given a book that was quite helpful for us to frame our perspective of physical intimacy in a marriage and how to explore that aspect as a newly wed couple.
What a shame tho. Props to Cheryl to think that way. I have had sex with over 30 girls and it’s amazing! Wish I started sooner. Was raised in a Christian household, was always shy and awkward and then went to study engineering. Was so thirsty and inexperienced I finally used dating apps and really enjoying having sex. This is one thing I seriously don’t regret. Truly a fomo, yolo thing. I feel better knowing the older gen will never have that choices and experience.
Catholic here. Saved it for marriage [got married in my late 20s]. Hate to say it but I wished I got to experience more. However, no regrets giving it to my wife.
To answer the question of why pre marital sex is forbidden in the bible, it's because birth control wasn't available in those primitive times, and such a law was necessary to protect women and their offspring.
It is still viewed as a sin because it's against the constitution of marriage, which was set up by God himself for all mankind, and infringes on our purity, the temple of a God we believe to be absolutely Holy.
@@thngzysSmoking, eating processed food, not sleeping well, drinking too much and so many more things are all destroying the temple. Bible also says all sin are the same.
I like what the guy said "so it's prison lah." Bravo. What can the guy do if the wife doesn't enjoy sex? If he goes for transactional sex, he is deemed unfaithful and disgusting. If he doesn't he's just suppressing his own emotions and needs. You might also ask, so he can go for transactional sex, does that mean the wife can do it too? But there won't be this conversation if the wife enjoy sex. If he tries repeatedly to have/suggest sex, then he's dealt with the "this is what you think about?" comment. Too many times, it becomes an irritation. And if he force his wife to have sex, it's against the law as well. Granted we should not force things on people against their wish. In the end, it's really "prison' for the guy. We can only hope that he doesn't loses the use of his hands. And ya, this situation can also apply to the ladies as well. just saying.
Sex is definitely for pleasure & reproduction. However, it’s only done within a marriage, which is instituted by God. fornication is a sin. Period. That’s from the word of God. However, Man like to sin against God. Not jus in sexual immorality.
Sex outside of marriage marks the beginning of tragic paths, leading to relationship breakdowns, affairs, divorce, suffering, and more. As followers of Christ, we must stand firm in the Word of God, be a light to others, and set a godly example-not the opposite. We must reject premarital cohabitation and premarital sex at all costs, for they are not acts of true love.
intimacy is the important piece. it can be as simple as hugs/pecks on checks/holding hands, light touches.

Saving for marriage is different from not interested. Better talk about it or the marriage will be doomed
Cheryl lowkey sounds like she might be asexual. No judge, there are asexual ppl out there

I think divorce is heavily frowned upon in catholicism though...

We're thinking about bringing Cheryl on more often. 😉
I really disagree with the Bibles view of sex, but at the same time - it should be saved for the right people only.
Don’t get the wrong perspective of the bible from tis video. These people did not explain it well. In fact they hv a poor understanding of the bible. Go read from the source which is the bible. Give yourself a chance. Don’t jump to conclusions based on tis poor video

i think it will be good to bring on a Catholic speaker on this topic and the importance and significance of sex in marriage

Pulease sexual incompatibility is solvable. It's not doomed.
i was in the same modules with her in U in aussie, didnt know she would end up on social media fame 🤣
To be honest I think it is. Because you wouldn’t have any idea of your SO’s sexual preference? But if both parties agree to that condition then it’s fine I guess.

Congrats on being promiscuous. A whore basically. Not every person wants a high body count.

Gadamn is my DREAM WIFEEE👀😭
She need to talk about the sexual desire now…… or explore on her own… i drag it out.. it really unpleasant in the end
Onan was the only person in bible that was referred to when it comes to pull out.
Sex is important but never the priority
To answer the question of why pre marital sex is forbidden in the bible, it's because birth control wasn't available in those primitive times, and such a law was necessary to protect women and their offspring.
Nonsense. Go and read the bible again. Don’t know jus say don’t know
It is still viewed as a sin because it's against the constitution of marriage, which was set up by God himself for all mankind, and infringes on our purity, the temple of a God we believe to be absolutely Holy.
Nah, you're just trying to justify sex before marriage.
@@thngzysSmoking, eating processed food, not sleeping well, drinking too much and so many more things are all destroying the temple. Bible also says all sin are the same.
Sex is indeed a very special gift to the one you truly love n for within marriage.
