bore, wheel diameter and width, bolt pattern, tire dim's, spacers and or adapters, camber plates, coilovers, centering plates, studs or bolts, frame notching, anti-sway bar relocation, ride height....so many details, but it's true love ♥
Mario S. Yup, I'm stuck running Rota Slipstreams or the wrong offset just to clear my wilwoods. I can barely fit a credit card between my caliper and wheel.
If you change from 235/45r17 to 235/35r18 then your tire will be 1 inch smaller. You would have to go from 235/45r17 to 225/40r18 to be similar. It will only be 0,2 inches smaller
So here's a whacktacular question: Would it be possible to take a set of rims to a machine shop and get them to shave off a couple millimeters of offset? For example, if you have a set of +44mm rims, could you shave them down to a +48mm? Does this mess up balance or wheel strength/integrety or something? (Forgive me if it's a stupid question... but instincts tell me in theory, that the "opposite" of using spacers would be machining the hub down from the inside.... no clue if it's actually possible.)
I’m trying to figure out my fitment for my 12’ Civic. I was thinking of going with 8.5-215/40/R17 (Offset Undecided) I would like it to poke a bit without much of a gap but to have the clearance it needs. Without needing to roll or cut preferably. This is my daily driver so I want to be safe, but also have the look of stretch. Thanks!
What measurement determines brake caliper clearance. Will all toyota rims on various models with the same diameter, bore, pcd, offset, etc be interchangle for example.
when plus sizing, how does it effect the tire pressure you'll use on your tires? id like to plus size from 16" to 18" rims, and ive gotten a good tire size with the 1010tire calculator. still in the planning phase as far as rims go
I have a question what if I got new chrome wheels and they have a little bubble spec looking thing and looks like if gets scratches off might peel the chrome am I exaggerating or is that bubble the result of a bad chrome job and might need a replace
For my 350z I plan on getting a set of 18x9.5 +22 and 18x10.5 +25 Volk G25s, with tire sizes: 255/35r18 for the front and 275/40r18 for the rear. I'm set on these wheels because I already have them, but I wanted to know if you guys had any input on my choice of tire size.
I have a 2012 GTI and I really like how the wide body cars look. What wheels and tires can I get to get that widebody look without having the tires hit the wall? I want to use fender flares as well. Can you please help me?😭🙏
So im new to fitment of wheels but learning.. How do i tuck 18s with custom wide fender flares? Do I have to get bigger tires bigger wheels or do I have to lower my car more it's on 3 inch eibach lowering springs already. I’m new to all this. Am I able to put aftermarket rims/tires on stock springs? Will it fill in the open space it after I change it? Or would I have to get coil overs in order to fill in the gap?
i got a 2008 Honda stepwagon looking on some MST Time Attack Wheel 17x9 (20, 5x114.3, 73.1) do you it would be and issue on my van also got tein coilover
Just wana add to thoes who don't know why there is a positive offset from factory, it's becouse the factory want the wheelpressure to be straight over the wheelbearing.

Havev a 2000 monte carlo and wanna run some gold hundred spokes. Im thinking a 15x10 with a 245/ 50/15. Do you think a 14" rim would still clear the brakes if i wanted to run a 14x10 or 14x8 instead?
so if I like someones fitment, but I want different wheels, can I take their exact wheel size and tire size to a different wheel? im so confused by offset. it seems different depending on if the wheel is concave or not. ill find a picture of a fitment I like, but won't be able to afford the rims, so ill google rims I can afford that are the same size, but they look way different fitment wise? I got so confused when you posted that picture of the car with two different wheel setups, one car had double the offset of the other but the wheels fit exactly the same!!
I bought a 2010 Honda Fit sport everything is stock I bought 4 te37 4x100 15x8 +20mm 5.29 backspacing, I haven’t got them yet in the mail but I was wondering if it will fit?

what if i go low on offset with spacer adapters and my tire sticks out of the fender and i like that setup, is that considered good fitment? I am not planning to go widebody yet. and i have factory camber with factory ride height (because i dont like slamming)

Kasinova Da Don well it depends on the width and offset of the new wheel if it scratches or not. Otherwise they should fit, but your riding height will be 4mm higher.

Or you can do fitment the mk2 and mk3 vw way by putting other car manufacturers oem wheels on that are way to wide which forces you to use near disasterous tire stretch and ridiculous negative camber and then pray that you poked out wheel dosent slam to hard against the fender lip causing a tire blow out that makes you understeer right off the road in to a ditch

I forgot to mention I have a acura rl SH-AWD and my wheels set up are 8.5 front and 9.5 rear is that the reason why my car is vibrating when I hit 60mph +?
I don't want bags on my car but would like to make it look more aggressive not any of the slanted wheels aka hella camber or stance maby something flush if that exists
I love these videos and this channel but honestly you need to stop using 40x40jpg images edited in (example @ 2:25+). We cant tell what they say, but if you really want them then make them only take up a corner of the screen so i can still watch the guy talk. :)
I have a Toyota RAV4 2003 (2nd generation) 4x4 SUV. The stock wheels are 16" x 7" alloy rims with 235/60 tyres (base models of this vehicle came with 16" x 6.5" steel rims and 215/70 tyres). There seems to be plenty of room in the wheel arches and I'd like to replace my current rims preferably with a bigger size. Bearing in mind I also want to retain functionality for light off-road use could you suggest a practical minimum sidewall height? Would it be a good idea to stick with a sidewall height ~60% of the tyre width? Thanks

The height of the tire will go down.
Nope it will not. The second setup is 7mm bigger in diameter.
Chris, I'm new to this but will the new tires give me any problems?
Kasinova Da Don well it depends on the width and offset of the new wheel if it scratches or not. Otherwise they should fit, but your riding height will be 4mm higher.
Chris, The new one is a 17x7.5 with a 40 offset but what will the wheel gap be like?
235 65 17 Tires.

Will a 1In poke not work with air suspension

Im not an expert... but... wheels are always in contact to the ground so I don't think it should damage either one.
Just go for the right offset so you don't have clearance issues with your suspension or rubbing with your fenders
why do people always have more camber on the back than the front? the car at the end looks sick 🔥👌
Just their choice of fitment :D
cuz usually the back wheels are wider

I forgot to mention I have a acura rl SH-AWD and my wheels set up are 8.5 front and 9.5 rear is that the reason why my car is vibrating when I hit 60mph +?
what's size tire would you put on a 13X7 wheel?
185/55 perhaps. Depends what car its on brothhaaa
185/55 ?? yall call yourself fitment industries haha go with a 165/45 buddy
like they said… depends on what car you have.
I don't want bags on my car but would like to make it look more aggressive not any of the slanted wheels aka hella camber or stance maby something flush if that exists
Shoot us an email at wheels@fitmentindustries.com and we can help you get the stance you are looking for!🙏🏼
@@FitmentIndustries I have a 2001 325xi I will send out email explaining what I have in mind and try to find similar pics
I love these videos and this channel but honestly you need to stop using 40x40jpg images edited in (example @ 2:25+). We cant tell what they say, but if you really want them then make them only take up a corner of the screen so i can still watch the guy talk. :)
We def will man!
Thanks
For sure man sounds like you are ready for an upgrade! 😂👍 I would email our friends at Custom Offsets they can help you with getting that upgrade!
What size is good for a 2007 honda civic a 17 or 18
We can def help you with this! Shoot us an email at shop@fitmentindustries.com and we can get you setup with the best fitment possible!
