I will be showing this to my mom. She was a elementary school teacher around the time the sportsday home movie was made. Miss Barton/Mrs. Niven We left in 63.
Watching thar plane go up the ramp gave me chills. My house was very close to that spot in 75. I wrnt to grade 7 there. Dad worked in the mill.i was a pinsetter in the bowling alley.. 😅great memories from 50 yrs ago!
Great film, thanks! As a pilot I was taxiing the same Goose “UAZ” up the ramp in Ocean Falls probably 50 years later. What a story that plane could tell ;). Ocean Falls has a special feel to it. You were lucky to grow up there. Cheers.
I went to grade 7 there in 75. Dad worked in the mill. I was a pinsetter in the bowling alley ans we played roller hockey in the gym. Lots of salmon and bears.
Very interesting. The 71-73 I didn’t like. Everything getting torn down and closed. Problem with a one industry town. I think it messed up a lot of people having to leave.

TY. A very nice look into company town life , of a bygone era. Tearing it down, and booting the people must have been a very tough time.
