Jacob is a hard working young man. Warms my heart that he is determined to use Andy’s mower! He did a good job mowing and ready to do more! Maggie canning pears with Meagan is just great!! She talks and does her best with confidence. They sure want to be part of all you both do and are happy!!
I would do anything to have a queen like Meagan to share my life and homestead with. It's hard to find an amazing woman like that. God bless y'all. I wish y'all all the love and happiness and success that life can bring
Hey Andy and Meagan. Andy don’t feel bad. I lost a whole tractor one time to the point I called the sheriff’s office and reported it stolen. 😂😂😂. Forgot I had ridden it to the other side of the farm, got off and ended up walking back. Didn’t remember doing any of that until after I had placed the call to the deputy sheriff. All I knew was my tractor was missing and about flipped out. Luckily I was able to call back in time and cancel the call before they showed up. SMH! 😂
That is one sweet little Green John Deer Mower Jacob. Field looked good today. Some cut the Squash and Pumpkin vines away, like you do with the tomatoes, letting more light get to the fruit. So interesting watching the work all of you do.😊 I liked the Mac n Cheese hack megan.😊
Especially nice video! It had a little of everything. I love going down to the creek garden with you and today we checked on the rain soaked pumpkins. Then Megan and Maggie cut pears for canning. Then Andy and Jacob fixed the lawn mower together and Jacob mowed the property. Then Megan smoked some delicious farm fed rooster (Megan kept referring to it as "him") Andy shoveled gravel and dirt to fill the ruts in the driveway caused by the rains, then the family sat down to eat a supper of smoked chicken and homemade mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, homemade bread with homemade jam. Then after dinner the family enjoyed an evening walk to the creek. What a beautiful day on the farm!!😊
Oh Megan. I just adore sweet little Maggie. she is always so helpful on the farm. She and Jacob love living their farm life and one day they will have all the knowledge and skills to do this with their own families. Love your channel and God Bless.
I was just going to say the same thing about Maggie! She is so sweet and reminds me of myself at that age! I helped my momma with everything, even chopping veggies, to the horror of my grandma! 🤣🤷♀️ I guess she thought I shouldn't have to do the chopping, but I liked it! Lol Maggie and Jacob will thank you both for teaching them how to live off the land if they want to and how to be independent and self sufficient! I thanked my mom for teaching me the skills I needed to take care of myself and a family! I was the oldest and unfortunately had to grow up fast when she passed away; I was 16, my sister was 12 and my brother was 2 and 1/2. I had to take care of them while my step dad worked to pay the bills. I sure was thankful that I knew how to take care of the household, or I don't know how things would have turned out. Y'all are a blessing and a joy to watch and I always smile and chuckle during your videos! God bless!
Megan, make some pear butter. Real similar to apple butter. We also like pumpkin butter. I have just started canning more then the basics, so I do not have any recipes to offer, but if you find some good ones let us all know. God bless you and family.
What a great Mom you are Megan…And Andy is a top notch Dad. Jacob and Maggie will always remember what you both taught them. I know from experience that my mom and dad taught us and I still remember it.
A lot of Americans crave a simpler life. Going back to our roots seems to impossible for most of us. If you can bring a few moments of living vicariously, we smile. Thank you for your videos.
You need to make a fresh apple cake with pears, you will love it for breakfast, kinda coffee cake. You always put a caramel frosting on top to make a delicious dessert
I would recommend trying to get asphalt millings for your driveway which should be plentiful this time of year. It packs good and will eventually become harder than gravel alone.
Like I keep saying love how your children help do things around the farm and you guys are great parents for having patience and teaching them how to do things 😊
Hey Andy and Megan, years ago my brother told me a trick to keep from marring up in mud when walking in my garden, tie a plastic grocery bag around your shoes and ankles. It sure does help keep your shoes from getting covered in mud whenever you have to get in there to harvest veggies! So sweet to see Jacob and Andy fixing the mower! Now Jacob is back in business keeping the yard mowed! I like that kind of seasoning too Megan! Supper always looks delicious at your house! Those pears are beautiful!
If there's more women in your state that are like you and have your knowledge of cooking/preserving / presenting food from the garden and raising a family/ being a country wife then I think I'll sell my farm and head that way! My wonderful bride(of 36 years) passed nearly 15 years ago and I swear I haven't met any women that even know how to sow a button on a shirt. If I even mention garden they take off like Dracula does to garlic. She made a wonderful life for our family and the world seems so empty without her. God bless all you wonderful, amazing women.
Might ought to. Check the pumpkins for squash vine bores. Check the base of the plants for the tell tale "sawdust". Inject with BT or spray patch with BT.
From deep within the heart and soul what it gets to me what it does for me what yall do and most importantly what yall do with the young ones. Very rare in today's society. Gold star family for sure. May God bless you all.
EXCELLENT video, teaching the younger generation and dang if they ain't learning too and what it's all about. You all are doing a mighty fine job around there and the kids are loving it. Keep up the great work and sharing, we are enjoying what a lot of us missed growing up. Stay safe , Fred.
Love the work ethic you are instilling in your children. When they grow up they will know how to do more than just download songs and watch videos. They will learn where their food comes from and the hard but satisfying work involved in being self sufficient. Good job!
I think I may have commented about this on a few other of your videos, but I have to say it once more: While I enjoy watching the way you deal with the various things necessary to raise your own fruits, meat, and vegetables, I still think the best thing about your videos is watching you both teach your kids how to do things that you know they will need to learn as they get older, such as working on the equipment, and preparation of foods in the kitchen. I loved seeing Maggie helping (and eating) the pears (LoL) and watching that young man assist with the work on the mower, then using it to help with the mowing afterwards. It does this old heart good to see that all youngsters today aren't wrapped completely up with games and phones, but actually taking a 'hands-on' approach to helping with things needing to be done. It also warms my heart to see the great family dynamic...I think that is one of the many things lacking in most places nowadays, and something that really needs to be more prevalent. Thank you for the entertainment, and the great look at your close family life. 💙
It's cheryl from ohio just saying good morning to you all. Having a hip replacement surgery next month. . Can't do much except what your videos LOL. everybody who watches this Probably wished they could have some of that smoked Chicken. Yummy
I love when Maggie takes a bite then puts it in the bowl… my Charleigh girl does the same thing. I always day, we gonna have half a cake when you done!

Smoked chicken is the BEST! I save the carcass and make smoked chicken broth, then I use the broth to can dried pinto beans... DELICIOUS!! Makes the best homemade refried beans on taco nights!
Thank you for sharing another wonderful video of your family with us. Andy, one day I was talking to a friend on my cell phone. Awesome job y'all ❣️🫶❣️. I get the feeling Jacob is gonna need himself a lil shed soon for his vehicles like his daddy💪❣️💪. And lil miss Maggie is for sure following in her mom's footsteps..lil lady is going to need her own apron 👍😜. It's amazing how each of them resemble each of y'all 💪❣️❣️💪. Congrats on keeping a well rounded family in this time. Thanks y'all for sharing 👍🤓👍. Much ❤ to y'all from here in Michigan
Those kids are so adorable ❤ First time I met you guys I got on UA-cam and up popped the video of someone playing the piano and you and the kids singing hymns, I was hooked. That was a month ago I think and since the I think I watched 20 videos ❤
My daddy had a grading business. He has used slate rock for drive ways. It’s a lot cheaper and works great! We have a concrete company in our city. He has gotten crushed concrete before also. It packs really well. I believe it’s called concrete aggregate.

Such a sweet family
Awesome job y'all ❣️🫶❣️. I get the feeling Jacob is gonna need himself a lil shed soon for his vehicles like his daddy💪❣️💪. And lil miss Maggie is for sure following in her mom's footsteps..lil lady is going to need her own apron 👍😜. It's amazing how each of them resemble each of y'all 💪❣️❣️💪. Congrats on keeping a well rounded family in this time.
Thanks y'all for sharing 👍🤓👍. Much ❤ to y'all from here in Michigan
Those kids are so adorable ❤
First time I met you guys I got on UA-cam and up popped the video of someone playing the piano and you and the kids singing hymns, I was hooked. That was a month ago I think and since the I think I watched 20 videos ❤

Congratulations on 60k subscribers!!! 🤩🎉
♥️✝️🇺🇸 enjoyed it !
My daddy had a grading business. He has used slate rock for drive ways. It’s a lot cheaper and works great! We have a concrete company in our city. He has gotten crushed concrete before also. It packs really well. I believe it’s called concrete aggregate.
