She did go eventually. The problem with stopping and starting again is your tolerance goes down, so when you relapse your body can’t take it. I’m sure the eating disorder contributed a lot to it too.
@@brynneholt1990 I'm noticing a pattern when it comes to celebrities who become addicts and develop eating disorders. From Amy Winehouse, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Jeanette McCurdy(She was an actress), Amanda Bynes, Eminem(I'm sure there's more celebrities I didn't mention, but there's too many to list). It makes sad about Amy, because it's too late.
No he wasn’t in denial he knew damn well but he didn’t give a fuck he just wanted her to continue to make music so wtf you on about Blake who was her ex husband/boyfriend he got her on hard drugs in 2007 and she got off them in 2008 so shit you dunno what the fuck you’re on about she went to rehab so many times
I was a heroin addict. I have been clean for 13 years now and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!!! It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done but I knew my kids needed me well. Years later I had to have open heart surgery due to needle use. I feel so much better now though. Thanks for sharing guys!!!
Her music is so beautiful but so heartbreaking because she was so honest in her writing. If you ever get chance you should watch Amy, a film about her. You can see how much of her life is reflected in her lyrics. Definitely worth watching if you're a fan
I adored Amy💔 I went to cinema to see the Amy documentary......I just wept whole way through it. She had that incredibly unique gift of being able to connect with those who were in pain - her lyrics, her music but combine that with her amazing raw voice and you have a LEGENDARY artist....gone far too soon. May she Rest In Peace.
@@kittenklub1964 she really was a one off! I cried through the film too. Her voice and her talent for writing... If only she was surrounded by people who had her best interests at heart! Its a real tragedy. RIP Amy ❤
@@charlottekerlew8669 I agree - so many people used her for their own selfish objectives.....the very people who should’ve protected her. I had tickets to see her in Belfast, but it was when she started to spiral downwards - the gig was cancelled. But I wanted her to get better nor did I want to see her whilst in pain. Still can’t forget the day she died 💔 PS I left a comment about an hour ago and some ignorant bitch (Janet Jones) replied slagging Amy off as a ‘junkie’🤬 As I pointed out to her, addiction is an illness - but she left bullshit comment in her response - check it out 😡 People are so nasty! We lost Amy to addiction - she lost her life and we lost a beautiful girl & amazingly talented soul who shared her pain with us. R.I.P. Amy 🖤
Damn, this song is sad - knowing the she died from alcohol poisoning...it just breaks my heart. And we're coming up on the tenth anniversary of her death (July 23, 2011).
For reasons I can't explain, I didn't pay much attention to Amy during her career. I probably never even really heard any of her songs. After she passed away, I watched a documentary about her...and I INSTANTLY regretted my decision in ignoring her career. This was one of the most talented singers to come along in decades. WHAT AN AMAZING VOICE, not to mention her onstage and on camera charisma. It's astonishing how similar both her career and her life was to the great Janis Joplin, one of my favorite female singers of all time.
So many artists leave us early in life, Amy being one of them, she really was destined to be massive on a world stage. So few songs, everyone a winner ...
Listen to Back to Black and the acoustic of Valerie. Heartfelt songs. RIP Amy. BTW : Ray is Ray Charles and Hathaway is singer Donny Hathaway, she was giving them props. In her past she said she didn't think she could handle fame. She did have some close, childhood friends, but the money people around her didn't treat her right, pushed her and her "daddy" didn't put her first. She actually was sober and then went home one night and drank, and that rush of alcohol after being sober, killed her. Her body was fragile, past drugs, bulimia, etc. Keep checking her out, she was unique. The documentary on her ( AMY) is great, more music and background. From her friends, they said she was actually shy and very sweet, loyal to her friends. So sad.
The part where she said her tears haven't dried ..... I think she was telling us she couldn't go get help until her heart was healed ♥ RIP Amy dear, you are missed dearly
You are spreading such a good mood in your reactions! videos! I've got a depression and everytime when it's bad i watch your videos. Thank you and greetings from Germany!
Greetings from Ireland. Loved your reaction (especially that you let the video, play and didnt interrupt it). Huge respect. I was living in London throughout Amy's demise and man, it was really sad. Hadnt you guys heard of her before? I also want to add that she was a proper jazz singer, in the original sense. the best the world has seen in many years (and im a huge jazz fan). She also wrote all her own songs and was a lyrical wizard.
Great song but bittersweet now. So sad we lost such an amazing person and talent so young. I've lost some special people in my life to this damn opioid epidemic. R.I.P. Amy Winehouse. Much love! J.

Its about dang time someone good did a reaction to this song. Lol Great song. My personal fav Amy Winehouse song. A fantastic singer. Her story is both great and tragic. This song is somewhat haunting considering she actually had a very real drug problem at the time and was basically calling out for help. As everybody knows she eventually overdosed. Some question the support or lack of support she had around her. Very sad. Such a talented lady.
I love Amy Winehouse. She was one of the best vocalists ever. Such a unique voice. If you really want a treat though, you should react to Angelina Jordan. She provides the Amy Winehouse voice and vibe, and will floor you with her performances of Rehab, Valerie, and Back to Black. Many say she is Amy reincarnated!
Thanks for this - one thing that is extraordinary was the Amy emulated Ronnie Specter - with the beehive hair, the winged eye-liner.. etc. She was a total "Ronettes" fan - and weirdly, after Amy passed, Ronnie actually performed at least one of her songs - as a tribute to Amy.. "Back to Black" -- ua-cam.com/video/OkDQePNMmt8/v-deo.html
Man, should check out Paul Cauthen. He has a voice that I did not expect to come out of his mouth. One of my favorite vocals. Holy Ghost Fire, Everybody Walkin This Land, Cocaine Country Dancing, or his cover with Cody Jinks of Black Hole Sun as tribute for Chris Cornell
When she says I rather be home with Ray she is referring to Ray Charles and his music and when she says nothing I can't Learn from mr Hathaway is Donnie hathaway... Ray Charles and Donnie Hathaway were her musical idols

She had HARDLY any media attention nothing in comparison to the damn Rehab album. Back in 2003 I watched her at the Bush Theatre in Shepards Bush in front of only 250 people. Back then she was your typical girl in London with an IMMENSE talent waiting for it to flourish. What makes me sick is the Frank album from top to bottom tracks are all EXCELLENT. The rehab album just exemplifies that you have to be on drugs or alcoholic before your paraded on media and SHONE as an EXAMPLE. She had media at her feet all taking photos video for what just so it gets to their heads and your then in dirt....

Love that song!!!
Maybe they Are "Dry" cause they don't drink.
Yes they do .
Her song "You know that I'm no good" is my personal favorite by her
That is her best song in my opinion
The Arctic Monkeys do a great cover of it
The Skeewiff remix is next level funky
That is by far her best track.
