That's Pleurotus pulmonarius, also known as Indian oyster mushroom or phoenix oyster mushroom. It's related to Pleurotus ostreatus, but pulmonarius has longer stems and brown caps. The video is intentionally skipping a lot of vital information and details about mushroom cultivation. The substrate can be based on any plant waste rich in lignin, hemicellulose and cellulose. You have to pasteurize or sterilize the substrate with steam to kill off any competing microorganisms such as mould and bacteria. Seeding untreated substrate is an excellent way to grow mould rather than mushrooms. Mushroom seed(spawn) is basically a medium that carries live mushroom cells(mycelia), they can be made with a lot of different materials, such as sterilized wheat grain. We seed the treated substrate bags with spawn so the mycelia can colonize the substrate. After the whole bag is colonized, we will expose the substrate to open air while maintaining the humidity in the air, mushrooms will eventually start to grow under such an environment.

It may just take longer than it would if you purchased the spawn.
awesome work! Looks like u can harvest sooner tho, the caps are to open and already dropped spores, the texture and flavour is better when harvested a bit sooner. Also when u put the spawn (or as u called it 'seeds') in the bag, shake the bags and spread it out that way it will colonize faster ;)

olá , basicamente o que ele usou foi: Sawduste - Pó de serra ou serragem que ele ensacou e colocou aquela peça plástica para formar uma espécie de gargalo, vc pode usar as de garrafa pet ou similares. o pano é para evitar que agentes nocivos contamine a cultura, e ao mesmo tempo permita que o gás carbônico gerado saia. Seeds - são sementes ou Spawn( que nada mais são que grãos inoculados com o fungo). apenas isso.
Pretty impressive but i only saw you spray the mushrooms after hanging the bags is this to say that from the point you added the seed to the time you hung the bags the sawdust was dry?
If you cut less holes in the bag you should end up with bigger flushes and/or consecutive flushes which means the mushrooms growing out If you cut like two slits in the bag and you have like two large flushes of mushroom you cut those you should get like a second and perhaps even a third flesh with less holes.

Rociar entre capas de paja las semillas del hongo.
Dejar en obscuridad absoluta, rociar agua suave de vez en cuando. No dejar de rociar ó se secan.
Semillas se venden en mercado libre.
No agregar ácidos ni químicos en la siembra.

olá , basicamente o que ele usou foi:
Sawduste - Pó de serra ou serragem que ele ensacou e colocou aquela peça plástica para formar uma espécie de gargalo, vc pode usar as de garrafa pet ou similares. o pano é para evitar que agentes nocivos contamine a cultura, e ao mesmo tempo permita que o gás carbônico gerado saia.
Seeds - são sementes ou Spawn( que nada mais são que grãos inoculados com o fungo).
apenas isso.

Pretty impressive but i only saw you spray the mushrooms after hanging the bags is this to say that from the point you added the seed to the time you hung the bags the sawdust was dry?
If you cut less holes in the bag you should end up with bigger flushes and/or consecutive flushes which means the mushrooms growing out If you cut like two slits in the bag and you have like two large flushes of mushroom you cut those you should get like a second and perhaps even a third flesh with less holes.
