That opening intro sample is taken from an old Marvel cartoon. He's based this identity off Dr. Doom, so it makes sense if you consider that. He used alot of cartoon samples in his beats and they're pretty dope if you're old enough to remember and appreciate where he got them from originally.

Totally understand your comments about the intro, but it actually does makes some sense when taken in the context of the full album. :) All of the song titles on this album are food themed.
After you learn more about DOOM check out Aesop Rock & Homeboy Sandman "Ask Anyone". It's a track they made after DOOM passed away to give him his flowers.
Barcade is a banger too and I loved the Eyedea shootout from Slug in it.
