I'm just watching this because of Josh and no other reason! Rock on Josh, I miss you/him being in the RHCP so bad. It was a spot that you/he deserved because you more than earned that spot and I appreciate all the music that was brought to us the fans by you/him. I sincerely think the Chili's messed up, I love John as we all do, but I truly enjoyed the path the band was taking with Josh they should be a five piece band and I hate that we the fans will never get the true diversity of the RHCP catalog under John. Josh made songs available to us fans that John will never play RIP Dark Necessities and other songs we loved. John in the Chili's will forever just play John's songs that he made and leave out all the rest. Creating and smashing out songs left and right with passionate lead guitar in a league of his own I will give John that. When it comes to giving the fans the best most diverse version with the most energy I think that Josh wins that all day. Josh is uniquely talented beyond just guitar, but on all instruments he is a rounded musician that puts his all into his work. What Josh excelled at over John is his energy, passion and lack of ego. I said my peace agree if you want to disagree please remember that this is just my personal opinion and viewpoint/soapbox topic.
I'll take the getaway over unlimited love any day, josh has so much energy gives 110% in every performance will miss him so glad he found a place with pearl jam❤️

Josh, has grown so much as a performer. He has the confidence to hold his own now and I'll always wish him well.
I used to get ticked off reading the nasty comments about him being compared to John and you can't do that.

In the new songs, Josh's solos are just awesome, Had this impression while listening it live in Rome few days ago. We keep thinking he will play like John, the classic songs and get a bit of a weird feeling when listening to Californication solo , but when you hear This or Dark Necessities live solo, it's just eargasm!

Josh kicks that solos ass every time. I think Goodbye Angels is becoming one of my top favorites out of all of the songs.

Super epic. The energy build-up, the rhythm, the slowness of the song. Man, we are truly lucky for this kind of music.
I’ve waited too long to watch them in concert. Finally getting the chance to fulfill a life long dream. Going to watch them this summer at Sofi. Can’t wait. Long overdue.

I will never not be amazed how AK remembers so many lyrics. His songs are very lyrically dense, I'm always in awe.

This tempo feels right to me...especially in an auditorium as opposed to outdoors....it's gonna sound like crap if it's too fast inside... you're not gonna be able to hear the music like it's meant to be heard..

When John is in the RHCP he sets the tone. The music is more dreamy, more ethereal. I think John needs his freedom to experiment. Josh and John's music aren't entirely compatible.
@@gwenwalravens8030 in my opinion josh's music more like kinda aggressive sometimes, but awesome at the same time. Not the same for john, like you said earlier. But I really hope they can play together as fellow rhcps.

Goodbye Angels was too slow. Having said that, this Chicago show seems to be one of the best on the Getaway tour, especially when it comes to Josh.

claro que si se escucha, pero no tiene un volumen tan alto como debería, josh ya lleva bastante en la banda y demostró mucho, no se porque el volumen de su guitarra sigue así de bajo

egon schulz no soy musico, pero la escénica que dejo frusciante ya se perdió, ni destaca la guitarra en los ultimos dos albums, (no digo que sean malos pero falta la guitarra de frusciante) escucha las canciones con john y la misma pero con josh y notaras una increible diferencia

Josh just did not fit into RHCP Style of doing Music and overall picture wasn't just right and clear as it should have been! Who doesn't see it is because doesn't want to see it...
RHCP style is versatile, not just doing "rock", have you ever listened to Dark Necessities, under the bridge, go robot? I think Josh is a great musician, he is so adaptable to every single style that RHCP has had! he definitely fit with them!
