    This looks like the truck restored by Werner out here in southern California, I helped him with some parts way back when. There are two of these in Japan also, I sold one of them to the current owner.

      @RasmussenEquipment  4 роки тому

      Yes, it is the one Werner restored.
      Any info you can give me on it will be much appreciated.

    There’s a company that builds drive lines with a disconnect built in. I think they are called Remco.

    • @RasmussenEquipment
      @RasmussenEquipment  3 роки тому

      Yes they do, I actually installed their disconnect unit in the XR-311
      You can see it in my other videos on the XR

    That is a great vehicle. Very interesting seeing when it was made. I wonder if this was a vehicle that was made for the light fighter elements that the Army was testing back in the late 70s early 80s. A lot of vehicles were produced along with off the shelf vehicles.

    Sweet looking vehicle. I've heard of FMC. They're the same company that also produced the 2900R motor coach.

      Food Machinery Corporation
      Strange diversity for a company

      @@RasmussenEquipment It is indeed. Perhaps one of their best ideas was the Motor Coach, produced between 1973 and 1976. It's a shame that they discontinued after that. Who knows what might've happened had they continued.

      Also the same company that made the M113, cranes in 60s and 70s and citrus juice extractor machine for supermarket .look for "fresh and squezee" model CJ. Actually FMC stands for FOOD MACHINARY CORPORATION if memory doesn't fail me..

    • @enterBJ40
      @enterBJ40 3 роки тому

      I think they sold the food machines division recently. I was astonished when knew that a company that makes citrus extractor machines is awarded with a contract to make the M113 BRADLEY APC. Then I remembered they used to make cranes in the 60s and 70s so the experience should come from there !! and not the orange juice 😉

    Something I have been wondering about with the chryco 360 engine and 24 volt igniiton:
    The early m-113 apc's used a chrysler v8 engine . If the waterproof ignition from one would fit on this, it would really look milspec.

    • @RasmussenEquipment
      @RasmussenEquipment  4 роки тому

      That would look cool, but I just bought an Edelbrock fuel injection system for it and it comes with the distributor so that it all runs correctly with the new ECU

    I am not sure if they are still being made but a company used to make a rear drive shaft disconnect for Toyota trucks, maybe you can use one for your front drive shaft.....

      @1966cambo ya I did find one made by Superior Driveline. It will be in my next video as I complete the XR-311,

    Didn't know about this car!
    She is very cool!
    How does she handle off-road?
    Probably from this car Lamborghini made LM!
    Thank you for the video, I'm just shocked by it, in a good way!!!

      I do have a video comparing the XR-311 to the LM 003
      They are really good off-road if you look up on XR-311 wiki page you can find videos of the testing that was conducted back in 1972

    This car is No.2 or No.3? A total of 4 units were made. No.4 is in Japan.

    • @RasmussenEquipment
      @RasmussenEquipment  2 роки тому +1

      There were 10 made. Of the only known survivors there are 2 in Japan that run, 1 in the USA that runs, one in a museum and another on static display at an Army base.
