I'm not really a fan of Megadeth, but I was asked if I could do a cover of them some time ago, so here goes. I will concede that that breakdown is pretty damn awesome though.
Perfect performance of a cover on UA-cam. Why???? Because we can actually hear his bass and his playing.... not hiding behind the track like so many others do.
@@phipschi4255 At least to me, making a "youtube cover" by splicing up a million takes, editing the sound to pro studio quality and then filming the "performance" is pretty lame. You can never know whether the guitarist could ever play the song live and not sounding like shit. Such videos create an illusion of these players being much more skilled than they actually are. It also raises expectations unrealistically high.

Hm, let me put it this way: Seasoned players with two hands and excellent wrist technique will have much better agility, speed and endurance than me, there is just a physical limit with my condition. I don't know for how long and how often you've played, but in my experience wrist strength just takes a loooooong time to build up (speaking for my fretboard hand here).
amazing tone! What are you using? specifically which pickup position, any eq on the active circuit? What strings? Assuming your just straight into your daw with no amp sim? Thanks!
Thank you! But I'm afraid I can't help you much because I don't remember most of it. You can find my setup in my channel description. I might've used a bit of compression and virtual eq, but nothing more. I don't use the active option on my bass, all passive. Strings are the cheapest I could find, already worn a bit. I'm pretty convinced that the main ingredient of the sound here is not any analog or digital setting, I believe it's the string noise audible from my camera recording :)

Not as difficult as it looks. I hit the third string at 2:29, and for the fourth it's not so different.
