  • Photographing Lavender Fields. Its that time of year for the beautiful lavender to show its true colours! I really did enjoy spending the morning trying to get something different with the lavender. I'll show you my thinking behind using composition and the landscape photography tips and techniques to take great pictures.

Excellent vlog Jamie just a shame there's no smellovision to accompany the footage!
The image you took is superb mate, so well composed too as you avoided the cliché of diminishing lines and made something a little different. Best of all is it works perfectly!
    Take care.🍀👌

+Andy Keeble thanks alot Andy! Maybe if you watch it again with some lavender next to you it will help convey the scene better! Yes I really wanted to get away from the typical shot looking down the rows. Glad you liked it.

+Expat in Mazarron thanks. I really enjoyed doing this vlog. Don't always get the chance to shoot something like this

Good video mate, I like the way you walk us through your compositions. Most of the time I just tip up, slam down the tripod and start filming, subconsciously expecting everyone to interpret the scene as I do. Image is a belter as always.

+Chris Sale thanks Chris. It's something that's helped me learn when I've watched other vlogs. But I'm sure there's other areas I can improve in to help 😌

Great video Jamie, I know these fields well and have photographed them a couple of times myself but always in the evening from the road at the bottom looking up to were you were, great for sunsets, if your lucky...
I have to say your walk looks well worth the effort. Loved that end shot with the morning mist.

+Sid Bonkers thanks Sid. It's a beautiful place to be able to photograph. I'm sure you've got some great shots there! Part of the reason I love shooting in the morning is the chance of some mist, which just always adds to any shot. I wasn't expecting any, but super glad I got some :)
