One of the best bass amps ever made and my favorite! I’ve had mine since 89 and it’s been more than used and it still sounds Awesome! These amps will definitely take a licking and keep on ticking! Never had a single issue with it ever!

I got one just like it being fixed nothing major, it`s a very old amp and I can`t wait to get it back, it`s got that fat tone and clearness that`s rare, even back in the day this thing was taking names, hard to explain unless you have played though one.this video is not giving this amp a good rep, it sounds way better than what`s presented here.

did it fall of the stand to bend the fins?

I have one of these that was made in 1991. It does sound really nice and has a very unique tone, but with the new bass I got, it just doesn't seem to be able to handle it. Mine looks like it's been through the war. Although the video doesn't do the sound of the amp justice, I've had mine since 1992 and still play out with it regularly.

You probably need new Caps bro! These caps are like 40 years old, and are out of steam, trust me. Even if that's not part of the issue, it will make it sound way better. Just curious though, what do you mean by it cant handle the new bass ? Is it active or something, or whats the actual issue? And it only does it with the new bass, and not other ones?

Ive got a spaghetti stick you can use as an amp stand, if you think perhaps your stand is a bit of overkill...

I remember in the 80s I got the bigger one 800RB because it had an DI-out. Today I don't bother anymore, but back then it was important. Later I got the 400RB and still have it. A simple amp that sounds great.

Even then, it should sound good. People don't want to buy a shitty sounding amp.

I was about to pick up a used one till I saw this video. There's no cooling fan. Years ago I had an SWR WorkingMan head and it would get extremely hot when I cranked it. The back would start to smell like burning metal.

Played this amp for years and never had an issue with heat. In fact at practice I like the fact that there is no fan.

@@craigmack-cv3cp I wouldn't go that far. Maybe over UA-cam it sounds horrible but those have a good tone.

The buyer bid extra high because he knew it worked but would sound better if he were playing through it.
