Glad you're able to have this "quiet time" together, MB and LB. As always, I'm praying for God's protection and His wisdom. Must admit it's hard to keep selfishness out of my prayers. Of the several AT hikers I've followed the last few years, you are the only ones whose videos I absolutely don't miss watching. First of all, you are both such precious and likable people, and I also feel a spiritual connection through our shared faith. You've inspired me and given me food for thought many times, and I'm a couple of generations older than you. Not trying to put a guilt trip on you, but want you to know what very special people you are, and how God is using you as a positive influence. I daresay you've been that to everyone you've encountered on the AT the last few months. Love you both without having ever actually met you, and pray that God will guide you in this, as well as all future decisions.
It was good to see y’all take a break! You ladies have been at this for almost 3 months straight and some time off was definitely due and well deserved!
You guys in the massage chairs had me rolling! 🤣 You both are glowing, looking so happy. Yes, I love all things nature and the trails, but ultimately, I subscribed because of you. You and your family are so kind, loving, genuine, and just wonderful people all around. I'm behind whatever decision you make, because the decision is yours. Take care ladies and thank you. 😊✌️
I am so glad you two are enjoying some much needed downtime! The special bond between the two of you truly makes my heart smile 💜 Praying for your health and safety as always 🙏
It could be the Virginia Blues, 500 miles walking in one State can get to you. I've been watching hikers for about 10 years over a thousand I would guess, hiking the AT, PCT, CDT and several more trails. I sensed you had lot your spark, joy the last few weeks, it's hard to regain that joy that you once had. They don't talk about the Virginia Blues for nothing I've seen a lot of hikers quit in Virginia. It's been nice following you guys, good luck and may God bless you both!!
You girls need to do what is best for you and your family. There are no rules for hiking the AT (or any trail) a certain way. It is each person’s hike! You can always do section hikes if you want to hike it all but not as a “thru hike”. Lots of options for you! Look at your special time you have had together! So many very cool memories!! You are loved and admired for what you have done this far! You will know what is best!!! ♥️
You girls have inspired my son to attempt the Mountains to Sea trail. We’ve been rooting for you and following your journey. We were in Grayson Highlands just days after you and we live near Roanoke so seeing you two enjoy zeros in our neighborhood is awesome! We don’t want to see you walk away. But ultimately it’s your decision. If you do, we’d love to see you continue some day. ❤
Momma Bear, sometimes the stress of watching over and protecting your child adds to the burden without even realizing it. Little Bear is at that stage in her life where she is starting to think more as an adult than a child and you have to realize that too. My children have much true wilderness experience and always felt totally safe being with me due to my primary profession as a Paramedic. They always felt that no matter what happens, I would protect them and keep them healthy until the day that I proposed to them, "What if it is me that is sick or injured"? Look at it this way Little Bear is mature and knowledgeable far beyond her years, (impressive actually) and she is starting to think more about her survival and less about your protection of her than she used to do. Ask yourself, if I was injured or ill, could Little Bear take care of and protect me on the trail? She has incredible common sense and will power, and I think that she would have absolutely no problem with the role reversal. Little Bear would be great under that type of stress. I guess that what I'm saying is, don't stop protecting Little Bear but also realize that she can handle situations much better than you think. It may just let you become a little more relaxed on your hike. BTW, statistics show that you are much safer in the woods than in public places such as the Olive Garden. LOL I don't mean to intrude into your life at all but since I myself went through these same things with my children 60 years ago, I do understand your situation. You are doing a great job of raising Little Bear but realize that your great job has also been the source of the maturity and knowledge that she exhibits. I hope this helps with your stress a little. You two are doing great, hiking strong and seem very happy. YOU GOT THIS! Hike safe, Hike strong, Have fun! geek
Happy that you had a wonderful relaxing day today. I'm in N.H. and have been starting each day with your videos. I love it. ❤️ it must be very tough. 80 days is amazing and so awesome.
Another awesome video! I always walk more on zeros in towns than a day on trali. If you are still there, the train museum in downtown is well worth a visit. It will all work out. You are right where you are supposed to be. May God continue to keep and bless you both!
Great idea to take some zeros to rest and recharge. This puts you in a healthy state to make decisions. Thanks for sharing your journey. And you are right. This is your journey and you get to choose how you do it. Praying for you.

When on trail, that hyper-vigilance for Mama Bear can be exhausting. Good epiphany and glad you did the double zero. The conversations during this down time will be a blessing. Love ❤ & Light to both of you!
There are always all kinds of options. You do you. Always fun to follow someone’s journey no matter how it goes. It brings back a lot of memories from 2016. I know I never want to be away from my family for more than a few weeks at a time after being away 6 months. Continued prayers for a satisfactory answer to your very thoughtful conclusion of what comes next in your lives.❤
What a fun respite! Good for the soul! As a SIC, I have been praying for your protection and have thoroughly enjoyed following your journey. Hope these days have brought peace and rest and fun, as you prayerfully discern what’s best for y’all! Love and light to you both!
I may have missed one or two postings yet I always find you both delightfully open & honest with your descriptions of daily experiences and your emotions. For myself your have and are helping me on deciding how I can make my desire a reality to hike the AT whether in sections or thru hiking . Pray for you both often and talk about you to others who are thinking about the AT adventure. ❤😊
I know exactly what you mean about being vigilant when you are out somewhere with your child. Always keeping an eye on things, making sure kid hasn't wandered off or gotten separated, or hurt. Watching conditions and other people for safety etc. It's often a low-key thing but it definitely does take something out of you, and the relaxation when you get home or get to somewhere that you can relax is very noticeable. So good for you for recognizing the necessity of taking a break, whether it's these two days or (as I'm guessing now) longer. I can't speak for everyone, but if you do end up doing what I think you're going to do, I completely support you. You have to do what's right for you and LB in the end. You've already accomplished more than most would or could. You both are amazing and I'm thankful to have the opportunity to follow along with your adventures!
God bless you both on this amazing journey that your both taking. What ever you two decide I will miss watching both of you two enjoying your days hiking and finding new things to explore. My prayers are with you both. 😊🙏🙏😊😊
Hyper vigilance is exhausting 😢 sitting in Olive Garden took you out of that situation entirely, physically and mentally. Good food, relaxing environment, bliss 😊 take it when you can get it!
Alot of us like myself have watched you both before your AT journey began. And I pray for all hikers, including you both every day. I believe God allows us to do adventures for a reason. But I would say follow what the Lord wants for you both. We all will 100% support your decision because this is your hike. We will miss you if you do go.
I have been thinking all along if you'd chose to forgo completing the trail we would all 100% support that decision. If God is telling you to go home to be with your loved ones...GO👍 Cherish this journey and bond you've built. There is no Medal for completing the AT. I know you'll follow your hearts❤❤
I have had the very same feeling all along. That they wouldn’t finish the trail. I have been praying for them to finish but I don’t see it happening.❤❤
What ever you both decide should not be frowned upon! The trail will always be there, some will make it in one try, some will LASH, some will split, but the mileage will all be the same, the goal the same and the accomplishment! It’s about your adventure and your hike 😊
I could tell you both were feeling relaxed. When you were in the massage chairs.I think you were just at ease and enjoying your time together. You both deserve this time off.I have you and your family in my prayers. I think your cat is so cute.
I’ve actually been wondering if the monotony of the hike was getting to you both. I know from watching others that more exciting trails are just ahead of you. I will definitely be sad to see you end your journey early and I also would definitely understand. They say the AT is the hardest of the 3 Trails (AT, PCT and… I always forget the name of the other one) I’ve been following along since day zero and routing for you both❤ I do hope you continue. I just wouldn’t want you both to get home and regret not finishing. This is just a short blip in the grand scheme of life. Hard things to do, yes. Always good to decide what’s best for you both. ***Im wondering if you plan a couple of zero days like these ones, every couple of weeks to give yourselves a break? I realize that by the time this video drops, you’ve already made your decision.*** Sending you both love and light. Keep smiling ❤
Would hate to see y’all come off trail after 2 years of preparation. Of course I am sitting in my recliner watching while y’all are doing the miles and dealing with the daily events of being a thru hiker. Whatever you decide you know we will support. Maybe a family drive up for a rendezvous to get y’all energized again. I guess I am grasping at straws. Just had visions of seeing y’all standing on the peak in Maine!! Prayers for discernment!! 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Haha thanks for the memories I went to college near there and went to that mall all the time!!!! ❤ nice to see the Bears Not in the wild 😊 I think it’s important to be reflective and pay attention to you. I love that you all showed that it’s ok to rethink things no matter what you choose
Thank you so much. We appreciate your kindness and support. We’re happy we made the best decision for us and our family, despite the criticism we have received. 💙🙏🏼
You are doing what is right for both of you. Every endeavor has its low points that need to be dealt with. You will do the right thing for the both of you. Momma Bear, you are the greatest and youwill find the best solution. I’m sure Little Bear would agree! 🚶♂️🚶♂️🚶♂️🇺🇸👊🏻. ‘One D’
I am so glad you are taking this time to connect with each other and God and Family . I hope that you feel content and energized with this time of prayer and relaxation. I don’t know you or little bear but have grown myself watching your adventure . Whatever you decide I hope your both rested calm and fulfilled in all you adventure and in life bless your whole family pets too . I will be praying you receive the guidance you need from this break .❤
Quod in vita facimus in aeternum resonat …what we do in life resounds eternally…whatever your decisions enjoy the journey, you have already accomplished much…AMOR FATI🐬🐬🐬
From a husband's perspective - let me mention that your husband is also likely experiencing something similar with regards to a need for higher vigilance because of your absence. This is not a criticism in any way, just a self-experienced observation. Husbands really depend on their wives to watch over their kids in subtle ways and rarely realize how much this is true until their wives are away. Wives really are Momma Bears!
Just want you to know, if you decide to leave the trail you will be missed so much, but when it’s enough, you will know and do what is right for you and your daughter. Family is hard to be away from for long. Hoping to see you down the trail for quite some time yet. ❤
I am with my Beautiful Bears ❤🐻❤🐻❤and support you no matter what is the best decision for you two!!! So very proud of you both! You bring joy to this Kentucky gal,and fellow cat person, more than I could ever tell you. Thank you. ❤
What ever you and little bear decide is ok by me! 👍. Hiking the AT is no joke and there’s absolutely no rush to do it all at once. 😊. All I can say is that what ever decision you make you girls ROCK at hiking! Always happy, always positive, and I just love you both! Good night! MB LB & Ellie 🙏🎈👍❤️😴😺
Retail therapy is one of my favorites 😂😂 I hope the weather improved so you could go swimming. My thoughts and prayers are with you in any adventure you decide to do next🙏🥰💗
I have enjoyed y'all journey an tried to watch every episode..mamaBear, i can imagine it is very stressful on you to plan each day an hour to make decisions on saftey, food an weather. I know yall miss family an friends back home an they miss yall. It wont hurt to take some off time an visit. You all have been doing well an still have time to finish this year. You can slways flip flop before Katatadin park closes. Do what you feel in ur heart an how the Lord leads yall. Best Wishes. 🤗👍🙏
Bears I hope that you are not thinking about leaving your adventure and heading home. If that is the news you are going to share, I will be disappointed, but I understand. You guys know what the best thing is for you. Glad you took the time out to reflect. See you on Day 81 with your news, I hope. You both look well rested!
Prayers for both of you that you make a decision that you are content and fulfilled with. I know of the struggles. Echoing off of what another comment said, this is your journey and the most important thing is what you get out of it. The trail isn’t going anywhere, and you could always finish it another time. The accomplishment is the same, because walking 2000 miles, no matter how it’s done, is incredible. I have a friend out on trail right now that had the opportunity to do three months this year, and three months next year and still keep her career. Choosing to do the trail that way doesn’t make her any less impressive. Sometimes you have other priorities in life that are just as important as a long walk ❤
Videos have been great ... thanks for tagging us along. Hope i wrong but sounds like you're getting off. Whatever it is, it's been fun following you. Peace and light to you both.
Whatever you decide, you both have my utmost admiration for your journey so far. Though, I would love to see you make it to my beautiful state, wild, wonderful West Virginia 😊
Wise decision to rest…also to turn off the comments on the previous video…block out the chatter and get refocused! Love the vibrating chairs: worth a good chuckle! Cheering you onward!
If you don't flip your mindset back to your BJJ teaching and all you've learned there you will be off trail very soon. Momma Bear remember those early trail days. You don't let those negative thoughts sway you from your goal. You all have plenty left in the tank both Mentally and physically. If you are really considering quitting or flip flopping it is your right. But just know you 2 could easily accomplish this without it. Really hope you push through this. Ive watched several thru hikers quit and immediately regret it, try to come back a week or 2 later and realize they lost all their drive and trail legs only to have to quit again. I just dont want that for you. Good luck in your decision and i hope that whatever decision you make doesn't leave you regretting it down the road. Much love from MD.
If y’all are debating going home that’s understandable & you know you could finish. But, if you do I truly hope you’ll be a section hiker & finish later. If you finish in 2024 the certificate of completion looks the very same as the straight thru. Little Bear could still hang that memento on the wall. Do what God & heart tell you.
Hope y'all enjoyed the zero up in Roanoke, it's one of our favorite places to take a day trip to, not much of a trip though since we live just east of there.
think I watched a handful of their videos over the last couple of months. glad I didn't fully invest into them as I would have been let-down. kind of like watching a race without a finish, or a football game with no winner. But, as they say: to each their own.
Hi there! Thanks for watching a few videos. I’m curious: What did you achieve by leaving this comment? Is there something you’d like us to know? If so, please tell me more. I think “hike your own hike” captures the true intent of the AT and sums it up the best. 😊
Laughed with both of you in the massage chairs. Did you feel relaxed when your time was up? I have been praying with you since you mentioned that you were in heavy conversations that God would give you discernment and understanding of whatever those conversations entailed. LB, sorry you didn't get to go swimming. There will be opportunities for you to do that further along the trail. Ya'll take care. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.
Remember the only thing that’s constant is change; so it’s very smart to revisit your plans and adjust as necessary to achieve your goals. Revisit your original goal and do what you think is best.
It was a great adventure for sure. But it was obvious from the beginning there’s no way they could complete the trail. Just not covering enough miles per day. That’s the case with many of these thru hikers. One reason I haven’t tried it, I know I can’t do it. And I’m pretty sure I don’t want be out away from my wife sleeping in tents and hostels for five months. I don’t think she would go for that.
Thanks for your support, Dave. Actually, we were right on schedule to complete the thru hike in mid September…at least according to our calculations and verified by several successful thru hikers that were helping us with our mileage. The same group we were hiking alongside is actually summiting next week! On my birthday! 😊 Anyway, yes, the biggest hurdle was missing our family and simply not wanting to be away from them for 6 months. Section hiking the AT is the best decision for us in our current season of life. We hope you’ll join us as we pick up where we left off in April. Not sure how far we’ll get as we’re just planning to hike until we’re ready to come home. Happy trails!
I wasn’t even curious why you were having a double zero. It’s your hike. For several years I have followed hikers on UA-cam attempt or complete the AT. If a thru-hike of the AT is not for you then it’s not. If you continue on, I will continue to follow your journey on UA-cam. It’s a great accomplishment to have made it as far as you have.
I’m binge watching your hike and I’m on Day 34 where you meet Mr. Warren Doyle. You were so gracious about meeting him and him following your journey. But it did leave me wondering. Do you realize the AT legend that you encountered? The man has thru-hiked the AT 9 times and sectioned hiked the entirety 9 other times. In the AT documentary “5 Million Steps”, he is asked his trail name. To which he replies, “Warren Doyle. Just plain Warren Doyle. I’m more than a bit jealous right now. lol
lol, yeah, I didn’t know who we were talking to for the first half of our conversation, but then realized who he was once he introduced himself. I just don’t get star struck like that, I guess. 🤷🏻♀️ It’s just hiking. 😊
@@wildflowersadventures I get that. I’ve met several celebrities in my life; they’re just people, but I only really fan girl over thru-hikers and especially multi-thru-hikers. 🤷♀️
Fair enough. Now someone I’d love to meet and just listen to countless stories is Quadzilla! He is a phenomenal athlete! There are very few people in the world that can do what he’s done. Have you followed him at all?
@@wildflowersadventures oh yes. He’s a powerhouse. I love his content style. You can’t help but wonder how he stays so positive and funny with what he’s putting his body through. He’s definitely got it figured out as a whole human experience. Meaning, he really makes it, not heavy on the accomplishments, or the drive but how it’s a real human experience to be out there and learning to enjoy even the worst of it. Very interesting individual.
Well that sure peaks my interest lol. Yall are doing great out there. Now I will be running things thru my little brain all day trying to figure out the deal lol. Flip flop lol?
Awww no what will I do without my daily Bears check in 😢 I've been loving all of your videos and feel disappointed they may be coming to an end. I also feel a little sad that neither of you opened up about these feelings considering you both said they've been happening for weeks. I know you always like to be honest with the viewers so perhaps this was just too uncomfortable for you to mention. Either way, the two of you and your family will come to the best conclusion I'm sure. If I was to guess I would say Little Bear is heading home and Mama Bear is conflicted about whether to continue solo or not......... I know the decision is probably made by now but I hope you are at peace with whatever decision God helped you make ❤
Thank you so much for your kindness, encouragement and support. 💙🙏🏼 I think the main reason we didn’t openly talk about some of our feelings the few weeks prior is because we weren’t even sure exactly what we were feeling. We didn’t have in depth conversations together until a few days before we decided to double zero. Emotions can be high and like a roller coaster on trail given all of the different challenges, so sometimes you don’t have the energy to sort them out…you just stay task focused and keep walking. It’s difficult to explain. But the good thing is, we left on a high note. We weren’t miserable and angry and frustrated by the time we made our choice. We’ve seen many people become resentful and just miserable and we didn’t want that to happen to us. That would almost negate the amazing adventure we had and we wanted to protect our journey. We are so happy for our time on the AT and at peace with our decision to come home. We’re right where we need to be and have no regrets. Plus, the AT isn’t going anywhere. 😊
🚶♀️🐻👟👟🚶♀️🐻🐈👟👟⛺🌞 ask for whatever's best for you both but I really hope you continue on my favorite people to watch love and light to you and stay safe and goodnight Ellie 🐈😺
Good update. Seeing a few other comments I agree with @jeffreyrose46. Total support of that. You two have been to some pretty cool places together that you said it would be a future destination with the whole family. So no matter how you decide 👍 The Whites are pretty cool though... Just saying😊 🌲✌
You have more and more recently mentioned missing your family. I think that if Dad could take more leave and bring the other kids to meet you for a family vacation of a few days, then you would be fine to go on. His vacation time is not enough to do that. So, an option could be for you to go home for a few days. That would cost in financial terms, and loss of trail time. It would however give you some valuable time with the family. The other options are to quit, or get straight back on trail. Little Bear seemed to have new clothes...hints of a plan to go home. Otherwise why add weight to your pack with new clothes when you managed fine using loaner clothes when in town up until now ? It would be a real pity if you quit. There is plenty time to be with family after finishing. If you quit, you will have done so for your own priorities and as these videos are a while delayed, your decision has already been made so comments here don't matter.
not to sound mean but i think they are probally done with the hike for now. At the current pace im not sure they could finish on time for it to count. But sending prayers to you guys on your decision.
I have a bit of concern about the completing trail before it becomes impossible. I find comfort in their strong faith and know they will make the correct decision.
Thru-hike is still doable if they continue at their present rate. One obvious plan would be: hike to Harper's Ferry, flip to Maine, summit, and then start heading south, and finish later on in November. Having said that, a thru-hike doesn't have to be the be-all and end-all. When you're done, you're done, and the trail will wait for you while you're gone. "You're funny ... you don't HAVE to do anything right now." --Huck Finn, 23.
The only way anyone completes a thru-hike[in a calendar year] is: completion has to be the most important thing in your life at the time. Too many things can happen that hinder this--many of them mental distractions. As far as I can see, the bears have not yet been really tested[high heat, humidity, several consecutive days of pouring rain/storms, mosquitos and other bugs that drive you crazy, miles and miles of muddy trail, extreme soreness/injury, miles and miles of rocks that tear up you feet and footwear, etc]. This being said, the mental aspect is still the hardest. I wish them well in whatever is next.
No disrespect intended, but that’s a funny observation. I guess I don’t do a good enough job of complaining and showing things very accurately. All of those things occurred, and then some. 😂
Mama bear--I know you are aware, but being hypervigilant isn't good for either of you. Your daughter has grown up on the trail and has proven to be very watchful. And I agree with the other comment about how she would react if you were injured. Hiking is the same day in and day out with just different views; it is easy to have boredom set in. Do what is best for you and her and your family.
I'm sorry if this comes across as rude since I've been rooting you two on since the beginning, but you two need to put down the camera and just ask yourself WHY you're doing this. Your emotions changed dramatically since you decided to up your daily mileage. JUST HIKE YOUR OWN DAMN HIKE. This isn't your job, if you must document your journey then maybe cut back to weekly or bi-weekly videos instead of daily ones. Unless you're relying on that ad revenue, there's no reason to stress yourself out by trying to do higher miles and put out a video every day. Honestly if you're feeling defeated now, I'd rather see you quit now on your own terms before you reach actual mountains and fail. The White Mountains are no joke.
Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate the time you took to leave a comment; however, you’re way off in how you perceive us. I understand perception is one’s reality, and what you’re viewing has somehow given you this perception. Our emotions and feelings have absolutely not dramatically changed, and increasing our mileage has been a natural progression in which we are very capable of and proud of. Everything we’ve done thus far has been intentional. We are far from feeling defeated. In fact, quite the opposite. We are proud and feeling accomplished! I’ve stated this before, but I’ll emphasize it again: The purpose of these daily videos are primarily intended for lifetime memories for Little Bear and I. One day, she will be able to show her children what she and Grandmama did when she was 11 years old. We have invited everyone to join us as a way to give back to the community and have enjoyed the online community of supporters surrounding us. We have the very best support and we’re so grateful. Please know that we appreciate all of you!
Hey, for the record, I don't think you two ever look like hiker trash or any other kind of trash. However, since I can't smell through my phone, I can't speak to aroma.
I think the reason i like your channel is the genuine positivity you both put out in the world! Keep crushing it!!
Glad you're listening and discerning. Prayers. 🙏
It was good to see y’all take a break! You ladies have been at this for almost 3 months straight and some time off was definitely due and well deserved!
Hike your hike and your followers will follow!! Love and prayers to you!!

PERFECTLY SAID!! I also watch for them, not the trail. I am wish them joy and peace ln everything they do🙏💗
I am so glad you two are enjoying some much needed downtime!
The special bond between the two of you truly makes my heart smile 💜
Praying for your health and safety as always 🙏
It could be the Virginia Blues, 500 miles walking in one State can get to you. Ask yourself, if I was injured or ill, could Little Bear take care of and protect me on the trail? I guess that what I'm saying is, don't stop protecting Little Bear but also realize that she can handle situations much better than you think. It may just let you become a little more relaxed on your hike. BTW, statistics show that you are much safer in the woods than in public places such as the Olive Garden. LOL
I don't mean to intrude into your life at all but since I myself went through these same things with my children 60 years ago, I do understand your situation.

Whatever your decision, having been well thought out, bathed in prayer, and talked through fully - it is best for you. Great zero together❤
Happy that you had a wonderful relaxing day today. I'm in N.H. and have been starting each day with your videos. I love it. ❤️ it must be very tough. 80 days is amazing and so awesome.
I am also in NH and following every day! These 2 girls are amazing in all they have accomplished!!
Great to see you having a lovely restful couple of days. Looking forward to whatever comes next. Love and hugs. R ❤❤
🙏🏼💙
When the doubt starts creeping in you are done...Happens to 80%...
Y’all do whatever works for your journey. We are just here to watch. God Bless and we’ll be here whatever y’all do.
What a fun respite! Good for the soul! As a SIC, I have been praying for your protection and have thoroughly enjoyed following your journey. Hope these days have brought peace and rest and fun, as you prayerfully discern what’s best for y’all! Love and light to you both!
Great job being real and intentional.
I’m so glad you two have time to think and talk about things that matter.
So glad you took needed days off. Looking forward to the rest of your journey
Glad you had the day off. Can't wait to hear your news, whatever that may be. ❤and🔦
Roanoke is a great place to take a zero. We're here to support you in whatever you feel is best for your journey.
Thank you 🙏🏼 💙
Mount Katahdin - just a dream, but shit happens
God bless you both on this amazing journey that your both taking. What ever you two decide I will miss watching both of you two enjoying your days hiking and finding new things to explore. My prayers are with you both. 😊🙏🙏😊😊
My wife and I really enjoy your videos! We both like to hike! Our most fervent prayers for safety and no injuries! In Christ, Mike and Laurie!
I whole-heartedly agree! 😊
I have had the very same feeling all along. That they wouldn’t finish the trail. I have been praying for them to finish but I don’t see it happening.❤❤
You two are great. Thanks for sharing all of your journey.
What ever you both decide should not be frowned upon! The trail will always be there, some will make it in one try, some will LASH, some will split, but the mileage will all be the same, the goal the same and the accomplishment! It’s about your adventure and your hike 😊
I love this perspective
I could tell you both were feeling relaxed. When you were in the massage chairs.I think you were just at ease and enjoying your time together. You both deserve this time off.I have you and your family in my prayers. I think your cat is so cute.
"REST TIME" Enjoy. It's your journey. Prayers for your decision. 😊
I’m so glad you ladies decided to take fun time. Hiking that type of journey can be long and draining. You need some time to love of yourselves
I was thinking exactly the same thing ❤
Special moments and good job ladies! 🙏🏻
It is your experience and I fully support and respect any and all decisions that you have made or will make. God bless and keep you and yours!!✌️🙂❤️
❤ nice to see the Bears Not in the wild 😊
I think it’s important to be reflective and pay attention to you. I love that you all showed that it’s ok to rethink things no matter what you choose
Thank you so much. We appreciate your kindness and support. We’re happy we made the best decision for us and our family, despite the criticism we have received. 💙🙏🏼
Meh. Haters are gonna hate! But as you say you are all about love and light and that will take you much farther!
Most definitely! 💙☀️🙏🏼
It takes a village
Great observation and so on point. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🏼💙
Don't quit, please!
Thank you. ❤
I am going to be so sad if you don’t finish, but YOU KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU. ❤ A majority of us have never done this. Praying for discernment
It's called Virginia Blues. Myself sitting in my easy chair want it to continue.:(
Agreed ❤
If you decide to get off trail, at least get to Harper's Ferry, half way, then maybe next year finish up. Safe travels.
Retail therapy is one of my favorites 😂😂 I hope the weather improved so you could go swimming. My thoughts and prayers are with you in any adventure you decide to do next🙏🥰💗
??? Sounds to me like a flip flop announcement. It would be wise!
Love and light to you both. Thanks for sharing your journey. ❤
Thank you 🙏🏼💙
Videos have been great ... thanks for tagging us along. Hope i wrong but sounds like you're getting off.
Whatever it is, it's been fun following you. Peace and light to you both.
Love your attitudes! 💕 Good luck with your decision and I'm rooting for a specific one but not saying anything 🤫
Hope you're still hiking but as you say, it's your hike. You've got this and God's got you 🙏.
It is important to remember that once a commitment is made, discipline and hard work are needed in order to bring it to fruition.
What a great day!
Nice video, so let's keep on hiking 😊
think I watched a handful of their videos over the last couple of months. glad I didn't fully invest into them as I would have been let-down. kind of like watching a race without a finish, or a football game with no winner.
Looking forward to hearing from y’all tomorrow. 💕
No doubt you could make it to Maine. Perhaps walk to Harper's Ferry and do the rest next year.
I think they are still on trail! They aren’t quitting!! ❤🎉
roanoke is a nice place to visit, the PATRICK HENRY building was a neat place to dine , historic and well preserved too
Laughed with both of you in the massage chairs.
Sending love and light
Anyway, yes, the biggest hurdle was missing our family and simply not wanting to be away from them for 6 months. Section hiking the AT is the best decision for us in our current season of life. We hope you’ll join us as we pick up where we left off in April. Not sure how far we’ll get as we’re just planning to hike until we’re ready to come home. Happy trails!
Yay!
You can always come back if u get off AT no big deal ❤ love the channel
@mistysmetzer6069 Definitely agree! 😊
I think the main reason we didn’t openly talk about some of our feelings the few weeks prior is because we weren’t even sure exactly what we were feeling.
🚶♀️🐻👟👟🚶♀️🐻🐈👟👟⛺🌞 ask for whatever's best for you both but I really hope you continue on my favorite people to watch love and light to you and stay safe and goodnight Ellie 🐈😺
great job my friends
Whatever this decision will be follow your heart.
I mean I’m pretty sure they are more than on pace to finish by October.
Oh well . . .
@@wildflowersadventures LOL, sorry but you have no real idea what I am talking about.
Ok, thanks so much. 👍🏼 No need for you to explain further.
Have a nice day! 🙂
Lots of hikers seem to question their hike in Virginia…
❤❤
😮😮
I hope our perception is wrong for selfish reasons. I am so enjoying following you both.
Hey, for the record, I don't think you two ever look like hiker trash or any other kind of trash. However, since I can't smell through my phone, I can't speak to aroma.
😢
