This is one of the best dealers at this flea market. All rewrapped boxes are marked that they are rewrapped for protection. He gladly opens the wrap on any item you are interested in so you can look at the contents etc, it’s a great way to preserve these boxes from the dew and dust at the flea. Not to mention those kids and dopes that open boxes and let pieces fall out or get blown away highly recommend this dealer. Great stuff! All for shrink wrap when labeled correctly, and willing to open for inspection!
KABOOM!!!! Thats actually a fun game!
Resealing items is a going thing. Being very educated in the flea market business saves you on pit falls. I started collecting at 12 years old and specialized in mechanical music, moving to early cast iron, art glass. And 50's mid century. Paid half my house off by educating myself and buying smartly. I have been buying and selling for over 40 years.
The reason there is so many Sport Titles in games is because they out sell 5 to 1 all other games , collectors will generally collect all games , but because of the qty of Sports games sold the ratio means there will always be a glut of them for sale
Thanks for a trip down memory lane. Used to go to Stormville with my mom 40 years ago.
12:30 Vintage blown glass hand painted ornaments from around the 40’s and 50’s. My grandma had them kind. Those are antique. They can go for a pretty decent amount of money, like $30 a piece on eBay just for one single ornament, depending on the design and condition. Item lots or multiple full packages of the more delicate ornate shaped ones or the hand painted ones can be up to over $100 in price. 26:37 The thunderstorm scene from the movie Bambi is playing in the background.
The glass heads were used to park your (bulky) headphones on in the 70's
Oh, interesting. I never thought about that. Makes sense. Thanks for watching!
Oh man.....I LOVE junk early on a Saturday !!!!! I'm here for 'em all.
I looove this flea market I used to vend it back in the mid 00s so huge compared to your typical flea
Yes, I think it's one of my favorites, even though I've only been there once. I plan to be back in April. Thanks for watching!
In my backyard. Been there many times.
That place looks awesome, and it's definitely on my to do list!
Yes, I highly recommend it! Thanks for watching!
Slides give a show projector..I had in 1964
Thanks for this video. I didn’t see any furniture. Does furniture sell there. And I agree those prices were crazy. People are just going to wrap those things up and bring it back home and store it in the garage
I don't remember seeing any furniture at all actually.
Okay thanks so I won't waste my time taking things there to sell
New subscriber and happy about it. Great work thank you
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it and thanks for subscribing too!
I love going to flea markets but I go to the same 2 all the time. I'm hoping to try to find the ones I should venture to by watching your videos. Looks like we are in the same general area. I specifically look for vintage Timex watches. BTW I think the trips of slides were for a Viewmaster Projector. It looked like a movie projector and showed the slide on the wall. We had one in the 60s
The November show is smaller as far as number of vendors. Apr, memorial day, labor day weekend shows are typically the best.
It's pretty far from me, so I won't be able to go to all of the shows this year, but I do hope to go to at least one of the spring shows this year. Thanks for watching!
I had that Dracula and Wolf Man Model kit as a kid. They had to be painted and put together. That Camera probably needed batteries charged to open up.
Totally agree with you about the rewrapped item. In a time where "new in box" can fetch a much higher premium on an item, it's simply not kosher to misrepresent that product even if it wasn't the vendor's intent. I actually don't see why someone would do that in truth for that reason stated earlier.
Yes, like I said in the video, the person buying at the flea market may know it was resealed, but when that person goes and sells it, they may not disclose that it was resealed. Also, if it's re-sealed at the show, you can't even be sure that everything is in the box or what condition it's in. Overall not a good idea. Thanks for watching!
That's knowing what you are buying pays off.
Just looked up the Coke clock like the one you asked about and was $75. Someone's asking $175 for one on Ebay. Who knows what it will actually sell for.
Yeah, it definitely felt overpriced to me. I probably would have bought it if he was asking $75. Thanks for watching!
I like ur UA-cam name neat great video subscribed ❤
I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for subscribing too!
Looks like they favor toys at most or the stands
It's called: "Vaseline glass".
A funny story my mother raised and bread loppy eared rabbits well she gave them all names of stars and she had this one male rabbit that would not mate with any rabbit so she named him Libirachi
Brimfield is a must if you are NE based
Without a doubt! Thanks for watching!
Bought that coke clock in the 90s. 10$ .. but didn’t work 😢
Dude, if you don't know what Aurora Monster models and Kenner Give-A-Show slides are, what are you even doing at that flea market?
I'm not sure if you are joking around or being serious, but assuming you are serious, I can't know about everything. I've never heard of Kenner Give-A-Show slides before. I was born in the mid-70's, so maybe there were before my time. I've definitely heard of Aurora Monster models before, but I'm not really into model kits, so I can't really spot them unless they are in their original box. Thanks for watching though.
Get more shots of the blonde to your left as you are walking in…wow!!!
Ha ha. I know what you mean.
The Nascar U P S driver was DALE JARRETT
Thanks for the info!
I find that if there is a booth that has all the same thing they know the market for those things and are usually asking market price.
Thanks, I was thinking of unloading a few pieces of furniture but didn’t see anyone selling it. Do ppl sell furniture there.
Unless stated on the box a reseal item is a form of counterfeiting
Agreed. At the very least, it is highly questionable.
Do you actually source anything or is this just a hobby for you?
Hobby. I'm not a dealer, flipper, re-seller or anything like that.
🦭 to seal or not to seal that's the question 😂😂😂.
Just looking at all the displays and all the small items people can walk off without paying for them just saying
I think the seller who was resealing the board games was wrong to do it, as the contents cant easily be viewed to see the completeness and the quality.
You just stated exactly what he commented in video, way to go
I agree completely.
are you a picker or a collector
Collector (or hoarder depending on who you ask). I find collecting much more fun than selling. Thanks for watching!
Looks like everything was overpriced even more than eBay. The MCM Coke Clock sells for less around the $150
It was very expensive. Right up there with Brimfield. I had fun looking around though.
@@fleabittenadventures Never found the logic with sellers getting prices higher or near ebay. Like dude here's a crispy $20 lol
Noticed you were gravitating towards sports stuff. You must collect cards…..
I was VERY big into collecting cards in the 80's and 90's. Not so much recently though. I still have most of my older more valuable cards, but sold off something like 200,000 commons from my childhood collection about 10 years ago.
Those books didn't come with dust covers.
Yes they did. All hardcover books from the early 1900's on came with jackets. Dr Seuss sell for 100's or 1000's with the jacket (depending on edition, condition etc) because they are so rare to find.
I'll be darned.
Thanks for the info. good to know.
I’m from uk and collect Coca-Cola, you see tons of stuff we can’t get in uk 😢
You sure are fond of saying you don't know anything about much.
Yup.
Not an expert but I've learned that 99% of book club editions lack big resale value. A glance at EBAY under "Suess Horton Book Club 1940" should confirm this.
Depends on the book...
@@docholliday4546 As someone who tries to pay attention to books, I agree! Which is why I said 99%, rather than 100%, of Book Club editions don't have much resale value ("much" of course being subjective). And if I'm exaggerating by a percentage point or two, I apologize. I also think the exceptions to the rule do exist & can be interesting-and of value to resellers!-but that such exceptions do not refute or undermine the rules. P.S. I also looked up the 1940 Book Club edition of Horton to see if the general Book Club rule applied to it. In my opinion, it did. Peace to ya.
PRICEY - THIS IS FLEA MARKET ????????? WITH AUCTION PRICES - INSANE! PASS
I've found that the big flea markets like this one and especially Brimfield are, in general, very expensive. It's often cheaper to buy stuff on eBay, but I still love to go and see all the unusual stuff for sale. Thanks for watching.
It sounds like a giant ebay sale lol over priced and careful what you buy. Flea markets use to be a bargain but now everyone wants to make a million off 1 item.
Hi sir please send me your contact bcz I need cosmetics and different lotions in bulk from flea markets
Right.
Watched a few of your videos. Sounds like a broken record, "I would have picked that up had....I would have bought it if only....I liked it but a little more than I wanted to spend....Better luck next time...."
Don't watch then.
@@fleabittenadventures Thanks for giving me that option!
I'm local to this flea market, for the most part its overpriced
Every once in awhile you'll find a deal but i've learned my time is better spent elsewhere
Video is so boring....😴
Then don't watch!
Exactly!
I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for watching! Have an amazing day!!!!
I will never watch again....😵
Sad what has happened to this market table after table of total garbage. Total garbage
I guess it depends on what you consider garbage. I'm going to have a Part 2 of this video in the not too distant future and maybe you will change your mind, or maybe not. Thanks for watching though.
