Yep Minnesota fans experienced what we fans in Green Bay did. They got all the emotions we did for 15 seasons in one. The legendary 4th quarter, game on the line interception. Not just any type of interception either. The one where as a fan you are thinking why? Why did you throw it like that, there? As a packers fan, knowing Viking fans broke their tv, cried, and missed out on another Super Bowl appearance. Made me realize he had a packers jersey on underneath that purple. Lol j/k.....NOT!! I hope the Vikings resign Kirk cousins too. Give him a 10 year guaranteed contract. 😉
I don't think he really wanted to. Green Bay wanted a firm decision from him that he was coming back in March and he wasn't firm on it. Favre told them he was leaning toward playing and they didn't embrace it so he retired. I don't really blame Green Bay though. They had Rodgers and it was time to shit or get off the pot with him and they weren't ready to wait out the off-season on the chance Favre would decide to come back. It would have been better though if both sides were up front about their intentions and they had just let him go somewhere else without the retirement drama.
Favre was great that year, but from top to bottom, the Vikings were maybe the most complete team in the NFL at the time, there was tremendous talent all over the field. They had, in my opinion, the best offensive line and the best defensive line in the league, and when those two things are good, along with a superstar in Adrian Peterson running the ball, you’re gonna win football games, I don’t care what era it is. Just think, the year before in 2008, Minnesota won the division with Tarvaris Jackson (RIP) and a 37 year old Gus Frerotte playing quarterback.
I've noticed a lot of Elite level people have this mindset. They wont even consider hypothetical. They dont spend energy on it, they wont even entertain it for a moment for an interview. Its really interesting. Most people you talk to will talk about regrets and what ifs all day, but a lot of really successful people, they literally shut the conversation down as soon as you try it. Ken Griffey Jr is another example of that.
Well that’s a dumb thing to say considering the first part of this clip has him saying he always would have wondered what if had he not returned for one more year with the Vikes. He contradicted himself in 3 minutes and you ate it up.
@@CaseyWinehouse He was saying had he not done it. But the way he lives his life, he has no regrets, so he doesnt look back. He doesnt entertain those thoughts. Its not a contradiction. Had he not gave his all, then he would have wondered what if and maybe lived with regret. But because he gave 100%, he doesnt go what if, he doesnt look back.
Saints should’ve been called on multiple ‘roughing the passer’ calls that game. Otherwise he would’ve had another shot. This is coming from a bears fan
it doesn't matter if he didn't retire after greenbay. I'm a die hard Packer fan. he wanted to come back as a packer but they moved on. not his fault. He will always be remebered as a packer bottom line. great player and even more of an amazing guy.
cheapseats12 they were ready to take him back, as a starter. They were going to send Rodgers to the raiders for a 2nd round pic. McCarthy wanted him to say he was committed to the team, but he wouldn’t. At the time this was making the packers look like, a shit organization, they were documenting everything that happened. Should of been after that 07 season with the Packers 13-3, broke Dan Marino record passing TD, broke multiple NFL records by 07 he was a 3* MVP, Super Bowl Champion, broke NFL records there is nothing else he needed yeah win another ring but after the 07 season Favre should of stayed retired and never left that sour taste on Packers fans going to the Vikings in 09-10 he was forgiven and he's considered a Packer Legend but Packers fan will never forget those 2 years Favre was wearing Purple
Had arguably his best season statistically that first year in Minnesota.
He would’ve won multiple rings in Minnesota if he had played there throughout his career
@@kgisabeast Keep dreaming

Agree to disagree. 09 season was great, but his 96 season is still his best IMO
No way should he have retired after Green Bay, he was legendary in Minnesota

And he Almost got to the Super Bowl with the Vikings.. RESPECT!!!!

Brett Favre; a remarkable example of the human condition in both their triumphs & defeats.
Not many men with the heart and toughness he had...
I wonder what he thought about playing with Adrian Peterson?
He didn't retire after 2009, he just hadn't made up his mind, yet.
what i really want to know is does he really use that microshaver he endorses?
Farve would sling it,sometimes it didn't work out,but sometimes it was just unbelievable!

His right arm looks like it's STILL a FRICKIN cannon!!
Is it an optical illusion? The R arm looks like it's 2x the size of the L.

Not to mention they pushed him to make a decision he wasn't ready to make. They clearly wanted to move on to rodgers

Google that link. It will come up. Watched it again the other day, because it’s really good.
He wanted to give Minnesota a championship, after playing against them as a rival for so long.
His year with the Jets was great until he hurt his shoulder.
Favre would have won a lot of superbowls if he would have played his entire career for the Vikings.
The Truth you’re funny.
Minnesota where we recycle old used QBs.
I grew up playin football with Myron... you know Brett
Bretts last "fuck you" to Minnesota😂😂😂😂
The best Vikings quarterback of all time is a Packer quarterback, and Vikings fans hate that fact lmfao
Crazy to think Super Bowl XLIV could have been Brett Favre against Peyton Manning.
He needed to get out of the house.
0:14 mini seizure ? lol
Bro c'mon he has a speech dis order and the pills show some respect
dahud happy I have seizures he just rolled his eyes
He was rolling his eyes and thinking at the same time haha
You wouldn't be as good as a pimple on his ass.... The man has stared down a lot and I'm sure you asked your mommy for help as a grown man
Vikings don’t get that far w/out Favre but that being said if he just throws that ball away & they hit a FG they play the colts in the SB.

Drew take notes
bring back favre throw those bombs again Rodgers snaps too slow we need you to return to Green Bay
Sarcasm
Bring back those interceptions
so close. glad p manning followed the script and somehow took it home
He won 1 super bowl. That's it. Just 1.
Ok but so has brees. That doesn’t mean anything.
Kristen Weaver that’s why the ring argument is stupid
Some franchises have none
Patrick Martin no it isnt
he played in 2. no shame in losing to the '98 Broncos
His Mom is right. He ruined his legacy.
he beat green bay twice 34tds 7 picks
Majik0715 Green Bay beat him twice because he really wasn’t in it that year. He was banged up.
@Majik0715 , Prima Donna you mean
