    2:05 Would R count as an independent variable, and would I count as a dependent variable, since it is dependent on changing R? Thanks!

      independent is what you change, dependent is what you measure. You are changing the current, and measuring the terminal PD (IR). Another way of looking at it is looking at the graph. The independent is normally on the x axis

    I understand changing the resistance of the variable resistor changes the current, but then why is the independent variable the current? Should it not be the resistance as that is what we are directly changing, and the current changing is just an effect of that?

      The graph is based on current not resistance that is why.

      @@allanmathew7133 It seems you have to know the graph and how to find emf and internal resistance from it. emf = y-intercept and internal resistance = negative gradient of a V-I graph.
