Straight to the point video..Question?I am missing this on a 02 chevy tahoe.Can I just plug the port,or is it absolutely necessary to have? Air filter is new.

Make sure by it being missing that the Air Filter Unit is not sucking in air. If not, I would not worry much about it as long as you are keeping up on the maintenance.

I have a Ford F-450 with a similar indicator. Should that gague be checked when the engine is cold or hot? Running or off?

The gauge can be checked with the Engine off. The yellow section of the indicator will not move unless you reset it.
