when justin said "FREE REEE REEE" it changed my life
Please let Graystone become a real band. I would definitely go to a live show.
They plan on at the least making more music together.
@@imthecrazyone23 yeah probably will become a termia like situation
@@I3rime how is this termia situation?
@@dawid1452 nik has said it will probably never be touring or live band just due to all his and other peoples projects
They did a Jingle Bells Rock cover a little while back. Which is now officially way out of season if you didn't know about it yet, but it is more music already
Austin should voice all dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. What a beast. Really love the energy and Justin is just insane in the most positive way. 😂🤘🏼
maybe like a low-budget knock-off. I feel like without heavy special effects you could tell it is a person's voice and it would ruin the immersion, but in the best and funniest way possible. That's why it would be great for a knock-off. It sounds close but then you're like wait what
@@TheEpicLinkFreeman Well I never personally talked to a dinosaur. Maybe they really sounded more human-like 😂
@@The19Flo93 Lmao I mean I guess you aren't wrong. I haven't either
And Justin's bree ree ree for baby dinos for sure
You hear that sound in the dark there's no way your 1st thought is those are people noises 😂
Graystone's performance has been living in my head rent free for the past few weeks
I can't go a day without it, they simply killed it.
I thought it sounded like total ass, and that's coming from someone who loves death metal.
I autistically repeat justins REE REE REE way too much
@@Tk_Tank”autistically” ???
i’m hoping you’re on the spectrum and not being ableist
@@loveinstarsdo you know what autism is? Even if he wasn't he could be using it as a reference not a insult. Giving the context of the thread how you thought they were being ableist is crazy 😂
I love how you can tell on the timeline in episode 1 everyone keeps replaying the song
The whammy bar falling gets me every time 😅
Lol I remember seeing it on the floor but she recovered. 🤘
And yet her solo still sounded amazing 💯
Paula also reaching for it and then communicating that they need to come up with something else.
Timestamp please?
once I seen it, was like "yup! been there!"
The shriek Austin does at 2:46 is probably my favourite part of the entire song, it's just so RAW
I came down here to comment this exactly! The way it reverberates off the walls, even amidst all the sound, fucking primal.
That has to be the most inhuman scream I've ever heard fucking amazing haha
That's how i imagine a Pterodactyl would sound.
Insane
x2
Austin and Justin’s duet vocal break down was just, exactly what we all wanted to see. They knew it, and they delivered.
I listen to this song once a day and it gives me all of the serotonin I need
Nik genuinely looks so unhinged like he's about to punch your face when he's playing! That in itself makes this performance so heavy :D
Nik can be quite the showman, love watching him go nuts at the end of his cover of Recreant with Will Ramos
yeah bro looked so intense during that breakdown
He pulled a butt cheek crabcoring. That's the same look you see in Nik's eyes during a try not to headbang challenge. Severely cramped pain, beneath the façade of a man with terminal vitamin D deficiency.
I think the improved part just made everyone go crazy it was one of those, in the moment real ass things you know what I mean? He just couldn't help but catch the vibe.
The fact that Justin's part 1:59 was improvised makes this more rad!
The moment he grabbed the mic and start screaming was planned out during practice according to Nik, but the screaming part alongside Austin, they were both improvising, stage presence points 😅
I thought it all sounded like complete ass, and this is coming from someone who really likes death metal.
And I think it's quite important to add, he had not one single human word of lyrics in this whole thing afaik :D
@@MarkyPaligs You can tell when it starts to turn into improv dino vs dine because Nik looks over at the other guitarist and they are trying to find the beat to go with. It's when he points to her telling her to go.
@@Stephen_Viele according to Nik again, the two guitarists were hesitantly looking at each other figuring out who's turn it is to play the solo guitar riff. Just watch Nik's reaction video on his 2nd channel, he explains everything that's happening behind the scenes lol
Kudos to Jared for picking the right people for each band. Imagine if the guitarist that doesn't like clean vocals, ended up in skylimit or grasshopper.
To my ears it felt like their goal wasn’t to prove something, to manufacture a song specifically for competitive purposes, they mainly wanted to have some chaotic fun. Just raw, sincere, unpretentious energy and that sometimes wins people’s hearts.
P.S. that very last scream sounds best kind of infernal.
@@mnardoni65there is no such thing as “bad music”, it’s all purely subjective. You have your opinion, I have mine, neither matter on a global scale as no quality criteria is truly objective.
@@manuskateboard1507 Ironic, you accuse me of trying too hard, yet it's you who shove this meaningless subjective criteria and self-set bars just in attempt to justify why you simply haven't had fun listening to that track.
As I've said, it's all subjective, it's all doesnt matter. This song isnt complex, of course, but it doesn't have to be, it has other things for some to like it for.
I used to think just like you, same for a lot of people I know. Wrote very similar comments criticizing bands/songs. This way of thinking just stops making any sense for anyone who understood subjective nature of art. You either like it or not, as simple as that. If you don't- just move on. Your critique doesn't matter for those who like it even if they do agree with it.
@@manuskateboard1507 you don't know anything about my current musical abilities and what my music library contains, yet you make that judgement. The fact that you try to do it and rest of your argumentation tell quite a lot about your ability to use logic though. Spoiler- your intuition doesn't work at all.
And it's funny to hear "Im not talking here about complexity" from a person who just said "They don't even use chords. They use numbers in the frets". Unless by that you've meant that they don't communicate between each other in formal theory, but just poorly communicated it (still a meaningless point). Because it sounded like using just single notes and octaves isn't enough for you.
last time I falsely believed that concepts like "good/bad song" and "good/bad taste" exist in objective field (just like you believe now) was many years ago. Perhaps at least 7 or 8. You just don't get it yet and because of that you're completely missing the main point of all my messages, despite me being very clear.
Discussing composition is pointless as standarts and expectations are absolutely subjective. To me, there's nothing unexpected composition-wise for a deathcore-slam song made for fun, it's as stupid as they wanted it to be. And energy, chaos and great vocals are enough for me to kinda like it (yeah, i'm not even very into it). If it's unacceptable for you- ok, that is subjective opinion. Nothing wrong with having one until you try to pose it like an objective one and try to prove it's the only right one. I'm not trying to convince you that this song must be good for you, just saying that it's pointless and not logical of you to argue about such purely subjective matters.
Cause whole idea of calling overall art piece "bad" ,only because it wasn't your cup of tea, doesn't contribute to anything good, except for giving people who do it a false idea of being smarter than everyone who disagrees. People who like it will still like it cause they a) not trained to see same flaws b) see flaws but ignore them cause there's enough good for them c) have different expectations, so those flaws aren't flaws at all. They are right in liking it as much as others are right in personally disliking it. This aint physics, there is no right way to do art. So all that pseudo-objective bashing does is it creates needless negativity and turns communities toxic. It divides people for reasons that don't matter. It is also one of the thing that contribute to artists suffering from imposter syndrome and constant self-doubt. And I'm bloody tired of seeing that, especially in metal communities, that's the only reason I'm still continuing this conversation. Maybe I won't convince you now if you aren't ready to listen, but perhaps someone else will see this and think.
@@manuskateboard1507I actually went to listen to your music, expecting some levels of composing that would make a Dream Theater fan or a Tool fan nerd out, and I gotta say, I am quite disappointed after reading these "bigman musician words". It is quite boring, cookie-cutter rock, overly done and unoriginal.
When Justin drops the bass you know it's getting brutal. I can't stop replaying this song since MM release!! Graystone 4 life
"Graystone saved my life." -Steve Jobs
Them harmonizing guitars and Austin's vocals add the madness of bonitz and I'm head over heels in love! BREE BREE BREE!!!!! 🔥🤘
Loved that "parents arguing" breakdown
So many goosebumps every time I watch this. Unreal.
Austin and everyone else needs to be more recognized, his vocals and his stage presence is on a whole nother level
Now I really want a studio version
This really was something special that will always be remembered as a significant moment in metal history
Graystone rules!!! I love me some old school deathcore🖤🤘
Sounded like total ass if you ask me.
THERE IS MOVEMENT BEHIND THE WALLS!!!! AHHH!!!!
Excellent show! Greystone was my favorite part, Justin and Austin's battling goblin vocals give me the chills. And this live performance has so much energy, fun, and chaos.
Austin please, please. Please audition for The Black Dahlia Murder. An all time great band in need of someone like you on vocals this would be incredible beyond words.
Austin is the second coming of Trevor alright but Brian is the man for that job; him stepping up to the mic was really the only thing to do.
The crazy thing about this specific statement is that he passed away on my fuggin birthday 😕. RIP to a legend
🤘🏻💔🤘🏻
@@Dickey7861holy fuck dude what a shitty birthday present. Rip to a legend indeed. I'd still love to hear some tribute vocal covers.
Austin is a fucking monster. Best underrated vocals in the scene really
Nik laughing at the end is just great
I've been smashing this song on spotify! Also the spotify numbers should prove to Skylimit that it wasn't just Graystones performance that was better ;) Skylimit is still awesome though, Graystone just deserved the win!
Just goes to show that a lot of people are sheep. Fanboys of particular youtubers lose their shit cos their favourite youtube personality performs a ToTaLlY BrOOtalz sOnG mAn and automatically think it's good.
@@MajorDook1clearly people **do** think its good considering half the viewers of the show had no idea who a majority of these people even were, lmfao.
@@MajorDook1 goes to show that perhaps a song made to be chaotic and fun is more interesting than a by-the-numbers metalcore song
@@MajorDook1Nah. Graystone was just far more talented than the other two groups
Every time I watch this it brings me so much joy to see how much fun they're having. All while writing a genuine metal song. Completely devoid of conformance.
Me watching the different bands perform while thinking to myself: "Well of course Graystone is going to win, he's going to err with favoritism and pick his best friend's band."
To thinking: "Well, of course Graystone is going to win, their stage presence and performance was too good and they absolutely smashed, they'd be wrong not to pick them."
No one :
Absolutely no one :
Justin, randomly 1:07 : REE REE REE
Austin sounds absolutely incredible
As soon as i realized they dropped this on spotify its been a daily listen
What a nice song, i gottta show this to my nana :)
Nana gonna throw down in the pit?
nana gonna throw down at bingo
I'm gonna show it to my naenae, watch me
How does this not have a million views yet!?!?!
This song just slaps wayyy too damn hard, I love their breakdown
One of the best collaborations between content creator of all times. I'd have loved them to make songs everyday, or most of the days, instead of make physical challenges, but still. Congrats from Argentina!
Jared, you picked an excellent group of musicians for this!! Graystone W!!
This was the best show ever 🤘🏻🤘🏻 please do more seasons
I enjoyed it for the most part but I feel like they really missed out on just having the teams write more music instead of some of the ridiculous 'challenges'
@@nox2889 I agree, that was a complaint I was voicing from the start
It would be awesome if they released an entire album. Great job guys its crazy how hard this song is and to be written and performed in such a short amount of time really shows the level of talent and chemistry within the band. Also thank you Jared for bringing more entertainment in the metal community. Maybe in the future we can get full seasons where the bands write and perform a full album
there needs to be way more absolutely chaotic breakdowns like this in music.
Two screaming vocals is fucking awesome bands should do that more often
Graystone, can you guys at least make 1 EPs? You guys are insane!
I will always come back to this. Not only is it sick af but funny af too lmao
Everything about this is just very good
This is so beautiful
Let’s GOOOO Greystone!!! PaulaNocturnal!!
We need so much more graystone omg
I'm sure they'd all love to release an ep one day
I love the ingenuity of this entire series as a concept. It's like a big music video but with behind the scenes content. Music mansion as a series could be like a series of artists documenting their growth as an artist in a band brought together, that can change if the creators choose, but I believe they could do solo work too if they redo their challenges for the next series. But I was saying the ingenuity of this concept comes from how practical it is to those who get it, the mind of artist/songwriter really comes in handy when thinking about this series. When a band makes song/albums, they're not all mad in a day, some can be but others kinda come together later, but I'm saying a band normally releases albums or EPs at a yearly or more frequent rate, while releasing a single or too to keep the interest/hype
Music mansion could record days/weeks of content whenever they want and release the content over time, I wouldn't be surprised if they already started this or it's in the process, but I'm saying as an artist/series producer it would be cool to see how you keep it going. I have my own ideas of shows I want to make, like I wanna do a Hot ones Inspired interview/talk show host but band edition and talk to bands only
Those riffs are nasty! Graystone should do an album
I've had the studio version on repeat in my car since I watched the episode, i would pay a lot for an entire Graystone album
It is still so good after watching it so many times!
0:38 is the quintessential mid scream. Austin you're forever goated
Can’t stop listening to this song 🤘🏻love it
Why was that the best live preformancr ive ever seen😮
Looks like alot of fun, love the good energy, the musicians did a great job for a 5 hour song.big love.
This is nuts this song, elite team as well. Got major early Job For A Cowboy and Suicide Silence vibes with a sophisticated sounding guitar solo from Paula. Fucking awesome!
Thank you for the upload 🤟🏻🦝🐾
Honestly kinda funny how fast this song crept into my top 10
Damian killed it on drums
Hell yeah he did
So sick 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
The chemistry is real in this one.
I watch this at least once a day
I get goosebumps listening to this because its good.
i would do anything too get a full album from these guys
This is what we've been waiting for ❤
Justins T-Rex lows hit me every time! They're so beautiful!
Everything about this is flawless, and every time you watch again, you notice something new.
jsutin bonitz is so cool
I can listen to this all day. Loved it.
Me and my parter howled at this when watching Musician Mansion. Absolutely hilerious 😂
Я надеюсь, эти ребята выдадут ещё много такого материала!!! Очень мощно как для трека записанного в такие сжатые сроки 🔥🔥🔥🦖
1:54 when paula lost her whammy
These guys were absolutely the best band on the show, and not by a small margin. I could totally see then doing well in the scene.
I love how they just memed but i genuinely fucking love it
I became an instant fan when Justin said FREE REE REE!
This song has been on repeat on spotify. Love Dickey's voice as always. But to have the other bomb ass musicians in the mix makes this incredible
The best to ever do it
This is like all new metal core( I might be using wrong terminology here ) I’ve heard. It sounds legit. I’m old.
I loved all the bands, but this one is my fucking favorite!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
my fav band of the show!🤘
So glad you won!
I am so addicted to this. And by the way, this is now on Spotify 😁
Thank you Jared..... This makes me so happy. 😂
I need more of this fr!!!
Absolute fire
This performance is going down in the metal history books! Just like the Denny's Grand Slam. Fucking legendary!
That’s the grimmest most slam breakdown ever I love it
I am going to be using this song for vocal practice till I get this style down!
Banger! 😆
I will never get tired of listening to this 🔥🔥🔥🦆
How is Austin not bigger than he is like popularity wise
These guys need a full EP or Album lets GOOOO
I love this shit so much it just reminds me of the golden era myspace deathcore when deathcore was hella fun and wasnt taken so damn serious 😩🙏🏾🔥😂
So good!
Banger of the year
That looks like so much fun
I would love to see season 2
Destroyed! So good!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Loved the show!! 🤘
