Bassem yousef is one rare breed of human. He’s intelligent, funny and well educated
Look past his pretty eyes. Nothing he says is intelligent, nor is it funny. He preys on your emotion to make you think he's making an emotional appeal, but it is only manipulation. He doesn't care about the plight of Palestinians. He cares about a person he knows and is clouded by his upbringing to foment hatred of Israel. He offers no condemnation of horrible atrocities committed against innocent people, as a philosophy. He carefully picks and chooses which will have an emotional impact on the listener to further his narrative, and when he has no answer, he uses sarcasm to make it sound like the choices he disagrees with are so outlandish only barbarians would choose them. Watch his interaction with Konstantin Kisin, who asked a simple question: what would you do the following day after experiencing an atrocity. He had no answer, only "not this." That's the intellect of a child's, or an idealist's, response. He's neither, but he doesn't want to offer anything resembling comfort or support to Israel. He can't. It violates everything he's grown up to believe.

You see how Lex shifts the convo to depict CHEWS as victims with the "why do you believe they are so hated?".
So odd that the Church blamed Jews for killing Jesus when the entire Atonement is based on Jesus' substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of humanity. If Jesus did not die, then there's no atonement for sins. Jesus would have just lived out an ordinary life, probably married, and lost to history.

Bassem is dishonest or misrepresenting history. Did the Roman's exile the jews out of that region because they killed Jesus? I think not.
He neglects to talk about how overtly antisemitic Islam is. There were several Jewish communities all over North Africa and the middle East, what happened to them? Such a terrible guest who adds nothing to the conversation let alone presents himself as an 'expert' on the subject

The subject of hatred has to be based on the mass of any group to focus on the elimination of another mass. The bigger the mass the bigger a mass you eventually focus on eliminating. The Hippie world used their massive numbers throughout the world to feel and express love. And this occurred during one of the most dire and threatening of times with wars and total anniliation at hand. Love is all you need. “As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

It def does not, in that kind of generality. Jews came to India before Christians and Muslims. They have remained safe all through even though they are a micro minority. There is a tale that when St. Thomas arrived on the Southwestern shores of India, he was surprised to see a Jewish settlement on land granted by the Hindu king. (of course, no one can say how true this is, but because Jewish people, their settlements and places of worship have thrived more than a thousand years, such stories ring true)

He was a former heart surgeon, if you had a friends or family who are qualified doctors, ask them how difficult is it to become a heart surgeon. Now combine this with his actions during the Egyptian revolution you can see why people respect him. This why we see him on Lex’s podcast. Because of his achievements and societal standing over 2 decades. Now tell us, what credibility do you have to make these statements? It takes 5mins to understand why he is being given a platform yet you take 20seconds to try and defame him without no sound argument.

This has nothing to do with Lex. I’m somewhat antisemitic and I find my comments deleted and even got a warning from UA-cam on various channels. Frankly, I find the censorship as validation of my beliefs that Jews engage in nefarious activities. I’d rather not see it that way but so many things like this validate. I know Lex is Jewish and I really appreciate the aspect of Jewish culture that can look at many angles of controversial topics. I also know you cannot mention funny mustache man or the political party/ ideology that both Satnyouhoo and shytler come from.

@@theomarcus When UA-cam censors comments, it makes Orwell’s quote “In times of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” Ergo, giving credence to the “antisemitic” tropes. The more you run into censorship and suppression of free speech the more you suspect you are uprooting something that the powers want to supress. Mentioning the leader of Germany in the 1940s by name gets this comment censored by UA-cam. If you look for the source materials about that party and their propaganda it’s often scrubbed and you just get second hand sources that editorialize.

There wasnt a Palestinian state but that doesn't mean there weren't Palestinians.
Self determination is a recent phenomena in history where we divide ourselves based off the colours of our skin, the languages we speak or whatever we seem as a single "race".
Self determination is a British idea that they used to split apart the middle east, the ottoman empire and also the rest of the world in order to divide and conquer.
Self determination isn't even something the west believes in otherwise they would've given native Americans a country. They also wouldn't allow for western countries to become as diverse as they are because then the immigrants will at some point overtake the number of natives and so places like the UK will have a collective voice of not just the English but all the other ethnicities too. Being British means being diverse and one day we will have a voice representing all of our diversities together. This is a strength that the UK uses but for other countries they want it to stay divided so they can inject their own puppet states (Israel) for the sole purpose of having a foothold in that region to push their power onto. They don't care about Israelis they only care about power.
This idea of self determination isn't even necessary. As long as your rights are protected then who cares what "race" the country you live in belongs to? I live in London as an ethnically Kurdish/Turkish Brit. My rights here are protected. There is no place I can't go because I belong to a different group. There is no apartheid. I love all my English/Bengali/Jewish/Scottish/Welsh/Romanian/Turkish/south African/Chinese/Japanese/Nigerian/Somalian brothers and sisters here. We live fine together.
In the past Jews have sought shelter from the crusaders into Muslim lands where Muslims have protected them. To us you are also people of god, people of the book. We are taught in our mosques that we should look after all people and to respect their rights.

Better than Jews in Muslim lands was the question you asked and to that I would say no because there are no Muslim countries. As a muslim from asia, i know that hadith. But, the hadith does not motivate muslim to kill Jews because we know that they are also plenty of Islamic references (Al Qur’an and hadith) that forbid killings . Because Allah (God) knows everything, past, future, hidden, unseen , everything, we know that the hadith is talking about whats going to happen during the end of times.
I seriously think the Israelis should do a lot of honest self reflection rather then playing victim mindset, and denials of the genocidal intent towards the Palestinian people. Jewish Voice for Peace and Norman Finkelstein are fighting for the right cause. Stop spreading hatred and head towards peace. Listen to the voice of the international community that are shouting for Israel to stop this madness amd atrocity.

Archaeological evidence, and recorded history from numerous sources, show that the ancient ancestry of the Jews os from that stretch of the southern levant.
If you look for Jewish records of cultur, architecture, it is there. The ancient Jewish capital is incontestably Jerusalem, that is verifiable, proven history. And the abundant sources are not hard to find, though if you'd really like I could start pulling up sources and create a bibliography for this comment.
So there is no other place in the world, where one could say the Jewish people emerged from, other than that stretch of land.

You are technically, according to modern laws, a bunch of glorified squatters. Who took advantage of someone not being home, and then turned around and said "this place belongs to us".
Now, the Jewish people did understand that after such a long time, you can't simply come and kick people out of what they now call home, even though it is for all intents and purposes their ancestral home. So the Jewish people coming out of the Holocaust, were willing to accept the partition plan of their ancestral home. Agreed even to devide their ancestral capital, a thing that no other culture in the history of the world has ever done, and share it with others.
But the local Arabs of the time could not agree to let the Jewish people return to their ancient home. And were outraged, that the Jews were given autonomy, and the ability to defend themselves. And they did not agree to the partition plan, of the lands that were never theirs to begin with.
Check your history, see what comes up.
