    wow awood i dont thing people appreciate your work as much as they should. Its honestly insane u got every poke check, every hit, even every blocked shot along with all his goals assists and points. Keep going strong brother.

    • @awood40
      @awood40  Рік тому +55

      Well, not EVERY hit/poke/blocked shot, that would be too much lol. The standout plays to me are what make the final cut. I sometimes second guess the selections and worry that the casual viewer might not pick up on the subtle plays that are included (especially if the announcers don't notice it), but chances are they probably aren't watching a video longer than 5 minutes anyways.

      I watch the NHL highlights on UA-cam for the payoff games I don’t see. Those are the times I realize how excellent awood’s skills are. Seriously you could train them on what actual an actual highlight package should look like! Relevant plays…not just goals…something that hockey fans know and appreciate!

    Was watching a lot of his Team Germany stuff this summer.
    He so rarely gets an assist or goal but he was the one creating offense with a genius pass or calm 1on1.
    He is impressive and I wish we could see him with Stützle and Draisaitle on TeamG one day

    IQ through the roof. He's a perfect blend of Lidstrom and Konstantinov. All those small defensive plays that helped the team to transition from D to offense. By far, Wings most important player.

    Watching Seider play is like watching a fully overpowered AI generated NHL 2023 defenseman that everybody wants, but there's only one.

      Yeah some of his hits look like it's 'NHL Blitz' or something lol.. like back then how some of us would hit or be hit by the opposing team's player and you say something like "ya, OkaY?!.. cuz that's realistic" but yet love it cuz it's fun..
      Well Seider I guess brought the game to Life finally 😅.. he's definitely a CREATED PLAYER!😂 just as much as McDavid is..
      Always believed Stevie had it RIGHT! even though I didn't know much about him when he drafted him..I just studied some highlights and read about him leading up to his season debut, and like a lot of us DEFINITELY not disappoint to say the least 😁👌
      Happy he's on our team though! # LGRW!🔥🔥🔥

    To me this video is a good representation, of how much better we've gotten over the past few years... We did things this season, I don't recall seeing from the WIngs since the old Datsyuk days. I was impressed for a good portion of this season, those 2 Ottawa games though killed it for us. I am 100% certain Yzerman will be a busy busy caller this offseason, and he's gonna bolster this Wings roster 100%

      The crappy thing about Norris winners anymore is it seems to go to the defenseman the most points completely disregarding defensive play. IE Erik karlsson this past year. Honestly I think there should be 3 separate trophies for defenseman. Best offensive best defensive and best two-way.

    I was wondering if that moment at 28:10 would be in here. I specifically remember that because it was an example of how hard he was still playing even as the games got less important toward the end, and the crowd loved it. Crazy to think he might still get better. He does so much so well already. I noticed toward the end of the season he seemed to be skating and making subtle shifts and moves to throw off defenders even more and it made me excited at the possibility that his offense will get even better.
    I have to admit that I kind of wish he and Chiarot could work because that's a big, nasty top pair. It was also nice seeing Ben always ready to jump in to protect him when teams got pissed at Mo. I don't see why they couldn't work well together if the whole team was playing well.

    • @thenickfoxx
      @thenickfoxx Рік тому +3

      It's unfortunately Chairot that seems to bring out the worst in both of them. Chairot has alot of tendencies that Mo has, but like on a lower-end level when it comes to dzone rotations and plays of that nature. That leads to bad chemistry, some guys just don't work well together. I agree though, it would be cool if they worked but Chairot has to work on some things. I also love your first paragraph, couldn't have said it better myself.

      you don't really want two guys who like to take charge on the ice at the same time. Both of them are probably used to having linemates who rely on them to make all the skilled plays, so it probably threw off their playmaking and effectiveness early in the season

    good defenders, remember the Seidenbergs
    for example, but he is by far the biggest
    talent we have ever had as a defender. He
    will give the NHL more than decade of pure
    defensive skill, I'I make a bet he will win a
