    This process is Sooooooooo Eeeeeeezy Peeeeeezy Lemon Squeeeeezy!!!! 😁😂 Let's see --- thousands of digital pics, hundreds of 35mm slides, hundreds of prints with 35mm negatives, tons of loose photos and framed photos going back 100 years. Maybe 75,000 images PLUS down the road! ARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!! Time to visit the local pub! Then visit your psychologist! Getting time to have all meals delivered to the house for the next couple years, to free up photo management time at home!!!!! Your video is so very true! This is a MASSIVE, MASSIVE, MASSIVE project --- should have started this when I started elementary school 60 years ago!!!! Are we having fun yet? Sheer madness! Chuckle, chuckle. I have my current 50,000 digital image files about 50% organized (year, subject). Then scanning 35mm slides, 35mm negatives, etc. So just so much fun ahead!! May have to set up a home bar in my home office!!! Will most likely need to schedule a massage once a week. Thank you for your sobering video!!!! 😀

    I am literally crying! I have tried time and again ever since the first time God told me to write my family's story 10 years ago! have started and have lost so much that I will never find. I always thought I would have time...then my husband left and I had the 7 kids and 'what will I do now!?" If I had only known God was giving me a warning, but then I would have been so scared. And you can't do this work through fear - it must be out of joy. What about writing the story of the pics? Does Forever store that too?Is there anyone like you that does this with spanish?

      Hi Jennifer - you are a sweetheart and I totally get it. You've been through a lot! Forever stores documents as well as allows you to edit descriptions for each photo/video/document as well. There are many other people out there who help with photos. I can search for a person who speaks Spanish . . .
      Thanks so much for watching and Yes - finding joy so so important!!
      Cheers!

    I recently discovered your channel. I've watched several videos already, and they've been very helpful. This one as well. Like most people, I have a lifetime of photos, those I've taken (physical and digital), as well as many, many old photos. I have a lot of them backed up on an external hard drive, and I've already done a fairly decent job of organizing and naming, due to working for years with file management, so I'm used to organizing and nesting files. What's left for me to tackle are the old photos of my family. My daughters don't know who those people are, so I'd like to get the photos saved and fix the Metadata. At this point I'm not very interested in editing, just in organizing and saving.

    Hi Mollie, I’m Francine from Ontario, Canada. Thank you so much for sharing all this information. I started organizing my photos last year and I must say I felt a little overwhelmed. Your advice will help a lot. QUESTION: I have been using the Photomyne app to scan a lot of my photos. I suppose I will have to save them in my Master file?? Thanks again.

      Hi Francine - Wow! How did you find us? Yes, get your photos from the Photomyne app to your Master Folder. (save to your phone and copy from phone to computer or go to the computer website that Photomyne can connect you to your account. I'm actually preparing a new Photomyne review hopefully coming out in the next week or two. Thanks so much! Mollie

    I have a question in regards to the finding duplicate photos - does the software you mention search online as well? I have several photos in both amazon and google and not so many on my computer. Would the software search there as well or only files on the computer?

    • @Pixologie
      @Pixologie  4 місяці тому +1

      Hi Patti - No, these softwares work on your computer folders unfortunately. That is why I recommend people download their photos to their computers. So frustrating!
      Cheers!

      @@Pixologie thank you so much. The enormous task of gathering and sorting is almost too much for my brain! Since it's going to take so long it's hard to know where I left off and how I was doing it in the first place!😨

      Hi Abby - I keep videos and photos together. It's just easier to keep track of . . . and I almost think it would be twice the work. I'll talk about this in this week's LIVE program.
      Thanks so much for watching!
      Cheers!

    After taking photo out of album after scanning do you put the photo back into the album?

      Hi again - we usually don't put photos back in albums. I'll be talking about this on our live photo organizing program this week!

    Hello, this is Julie from Montreal. Thank you for all the precious information. If I have photos in the Photos app, do you suggest to export them to Finder to do the sorting and import them back to Photos once it’s done?

    • @Pixologie
      @Pixologie  Рік тому

      Hi Julie from Montreal! (I was there once - beautiful city!!) -
      I export photos monthly from my Photos app to my Finder Master Family Photos Folder and clean them up (remove work photos, duplicates, repetitives). Last, I upload them to my Forever account.
      I rely on the Photos app to just be a backup for all of the photos I take and that I can use if need be. Hoping this makes sense!
      (Here's a video: ua-cam.com/video/WLVZhLSuD-k/v-deo.html that I did on saving photos monthly. Imagine exporting your last month's photos to the Photos To Organize Folder instead of copying from your phone to your computer.)
      Cheers!
      Mollie
