I can't say it enough, what made Cartoon Theater so special was that, no matter what kind of movie was being shown, a recent hit, a long-forgotten cult film, a TV movie, etc. every single one was advertised as being capital A art. Because that's what it was to us.
They even made movies like the land before time sequels, rover Dangerfield and Balto Wolf Quest sound like events. Don Lafontaine made anything and everything sound BIG. Wolf quest trailer being my favorite personally.

A cousin of mine introduced me to it when we were in kindergarten. It was one of those things at that time you just kinda had to be in the know to know about, so it was kinda hard for me to talk about it with anyone other than my parents and this one friend of mine in elementary school. It made it so much more exciting when Cartoon Network showed it, like "Finally, everyone else is going to know about this cool thing I and I alone seem to like!"
I was introduced to Wallace and Gromit via a VHS trailer when I was growing up in the early 2000s. It must have been the first time I was introduced to claymation instead of the traditional animated movies. The man who made those award-winning shorts was also behind the wild hit Chicken Run (now due for a 2023 sequel in December!) There were comics and a video game featuring their remarkable, funny capers. I was there when they released their very first theatrical movie, Curse of the Were Rabbit. Wallace is like the typical absentminded inventor, while Gromit steals the show thanks to his thinking and stunning bravery. The creator-canine duo has been a special part of my life for quite a long time.
