Another incredible interview. This one hit close to home, because ever since I moved to LA in 2009, I've lived in the 40s. It's always been interesting, because it never really felt like one hood. I kinda see why now...

    • @jaysmack7445
      @jaysmack7445 7 років тому +7

K Will Dam. The history runs deep...
I've always like it over there (Ironically enough, I moved back home in 2014, and back down to LA last year...but now I live in the Harlems) but I always felt safe, dudes over there never really tripped on me, especially when I started being seen around, and they knew what I was about (a working man, mind my own business, move with respect etc...)
But it's like, I was good around 7th and Vernon, where I lived, watched little dudes grow up...but still get banged on on western haha... it was a whole different group over there. I was eventually good over there too. Shit def still happens, even recently... I'm not a dummy haha...but in general, still one of the better spots to be as a civilian.
Also, I have two sons...17 and 12 years old... and felt safe for them too. At least until the thing with the 60s jumped off a while back. Then I kinda worried about some mistaken identity or some old random shit...but in general, definitely one of the better "black" neighborhoods to live in. Leimert is right there too, so you got the Rastas and elders...kinda keep the vibe of the area mellow.

I stayed on 48th & Western in the mid to late 80s across the street from "BJ" R.I.P. what's up with the homie big E ? If any originals out there I remember when BJ & big E ran up out of 77th police station and had daryl gates pissed off 😆 ✊. We were on some real shit bac then. I was from the eastside but the 40s, 46s, 30s, & 60s had major love for me. Much respect for those brothers. BJ, big E, Bobby, Eli, Hot Dog R.I.P, Big Phil, Corey etc. Solid homies

I had to come bacc to this video. Because I'm really messed up about the 40 and 60 issue. Then I'm still leaning towards 30s being Rolling but not hoodstas. This interview kind of gives you I sight on why the 30s are so close to hoodstas never the less. Seeing 40s and 30 squash they shit, can't wait to see 60s and 40s stop their bullshit.

I asked my grandma why she always wears a blue rag. She told me this:
I am a nightmare walking, psychopath talking
King of my jungle just a gangster stalking
Living life like a firecracker quick is my fuse
Then dead as a deathpack the colors I choose
Red or Blue, Cuz or Blood, it just don't matter
Sucker die for your life when my shotgun scatters

Keep doing your motherfucking thing "Kevy" Kev!!! I hope this channel will open up more doors for you in the future. Cats on here are thirsting for your videos, which is a good thing!!! I keep hearing that UA-cam is trying to shut down some of these channels created by brothas and sistas???
I'm still waiting on that Mike Concepcion video, and I said this before, but I would like to see a video of an old school Mexican that use to be down with the b's or c's because of all of the drama that's being displayed concerning racism between the two sides??? Is it really going down like that because it seems as if there are two sides to this story???
Over here on the east coast it's not like that between most blacks and browns, but there are some isolated incidences. But, in certain places on the east coast there maybe a Mexican from the west coast who might come over here promoting that beef and hatred that was suppose to be going down on the west coast??? Northern V.A. is saturated with Mexicans from the west, but they're not a threat being so close to D.C.. There are a lot of Mexicans in N.Y. now, but they are a non-factor.
Over here on the east coast there is a lot of hypocrisy in the gang culture, and that is when you will see the division or racism. Like in N.Y., UBN and Latin Kings are enemies, but there are a lot of Hispanic Bloods and Crips. But when it comes to LK, MS, Triniterios, DDP, Ninietas, and other Hispanic gangs, African-Americans need not to apply. But, from what I heard up in Chicago the birth place of the LK, African-Americans can get down as long as they're part of that hood??? You probably already know that.
I just thought it might be an interesting video!!! I hear more about the beef between the two cultures out there, but I never hear about the ones who are still cool with each other or who is still accepting blacks in their sets or Mexicans in with black sets. I thought the Mexican Mafia shut all of that gang mixing down???
I saw a video about that sucka from Toonerville, who murked Kurupt's bodyguard, and mad Mexicans came out of the wood works talking racist shit me and the brothas out there on the west coast!!! I'm not with that separation of black brothas from different parts of the country, I like to see how we live in different hoods, that's why I subscribe to channels like yours and others. But my people out there get highly upset when someone from the east just ask a fucking question!!! LMBAO

The beef with 30s and forties started at a party when a forty-lett got into an argument with a guy from harlem. 90 and 40 beef started when a 40 killed a 90 (mistaken identity), based on history 40 and 60 will probably squash they beef one day which started when a 60 killed a 40 at a party.

@K Wil there's a lot of truth to your post. Outsiders came to various hoods with hidden animosity and didn't have the same comradely as the guys that grew up together spending nights at each other's house knowing the whole family.

I lived on 43rd Gramacy down the street from Big Phil! I use to lift weights at his house, me, bad boy and A doggie! I remember when my pops throw Pookie into a brick wall, when he caught Pookie and my little sister in our yard. Ice T daughter, use to hang at our house, with Big Bonny lil sister.
