- All components on a boat eventually die. When your wiper motor goes out, you may think... no big deal - but it seems you go blind from rain or swallowing a wave just at the wrong moment. So when my wipers started popping a breaker, I knew I needed to dig. I have the 3070.Thought I had a bad connection, turned out to be the motor. I pulled the switch believing it was the issue I had some good shots of the wiring unfortunately the photos weren't good. Took me quite awhile to figure out the switch wiring. pulled both motor but easy access with the 3070.
How did you remove the clips on the headliner? Thanks
Mine simply had round plastic covers over the screws. I popped the covers off with a screw driver.

Hi Rick. Thanks for the video. Where can i buy the motor replacement?
Good question. I got lucky and found an OEM in-box original motor from a guy in England (on Ebay). The replacement motor that is closest to the model number is ever-so-slightly larger than the original, and I was worried it might not fit in that tight space, but that was going to be my next option. I might be able to dig up that model number if you want it.
@@rickschwerdtfeger5312 Thank you for your quick response. I think I might be able to go with the marinco afi motor as a replacement. Do you know if the motor is 80 or 110 degree?
@ongxa35z I'm pretty sure it is 80deg. The sweep angle on the windshield is definitely less than 90 degrees
