Sometimes parts for the older units are hard to locate from the Bahamas, or a guy would pick up someone's stripped down project and refit with outboards that he already has looking for better fuel economy. Also parts cost almost double or triple in the Bahamas when you add up cost to buy in the US, transport to a dock, transport over sea, Bahamian customs duty and vat and dealer markup.
