I think Silver will step in. There has to be a precedence, an example to show disgruntled stars that they're not allowed to just screw their contract. Silver has to lay down the hammer now before stars are constantly pulling this Ben Simmons nonsense off.
Suspend Simmons without pay for the season and fine him on top of that for violating his contract. There needs to be a hard, perhaps overly harsh, punishment by the league and the team. Otherwise this becomes widespread and hurts the fans, especially in small market teams.
I feel like this kind of player discontentment does put some pressure on organizations to be better at organization and personnel management. Putting a fire under bad management like the Knicks and Pelicans
I think the best Simmons trade, where it equally benefits both sides or close to it would be Portland trading CJ McCollum for Simmons straight up or maybe throw in some young players from Portland but I feel like that's a fair trade, and realistic. Moorey I've heard wants Dame for Simmons but he definitely isn't equal value to Dame
It’s such a bad situation because in either case a terrible precedent will be set if he gets his way you can sit out and be moved if he doesn’t your team can trash you and attempt to trade you and you’ll still be stuck with them.
76ers: I’ll pay you $35 mil to play. Ben: You paid me but you didn’t praise me, now you must trade me. 76ers: That wasn’t part of the deal! Ben: I have altered the deal, pray I do not alter it further.

They could’ve gotten to the finals in 2020 if they kept their team from the previous year together, could’ve gotten close to the finals this year if Simmons wasn’t scared of layups
It's because of his lack of value, that this move makes sense. Philly have made it clear that they don't want him, but their trade demands are ridiculous. By holding out, he's dropping what 76ers can ask for, which might be what is needed to facilitate a move.
i think doc has a lot to answer for in regards to how he played him, like it was a planned action for him to just stand in the dunkers spot and do nothing else. still hiring his bro as his shooting coach the 76ers should have said 1 year and if no improvement we taking over.
In the next CBA language will be put in that prevents players from signing max deals then requesting a trade. My guess is they gonna cut a players salary in half for the length of the contract if they request a trade. That's a big deterrent.
The answer is simmons for CJ McCollum. Maybe toss in a role player with potential like Nassir little team too. CJ becomes starting PG and adds shooting. While Portland gets a premier defender that allows dame to work more off ball. Idk why this deal hasn’t been done yet
Simmons' jumpshooting issue is so overstated at this point that it has people thinking he's well rounded in other areas of the offense. He's not. He's terrible at free throws so he stays away from drawing contact, i mean, he's 6'10 and barely decent at finishing. His passing is great in the fast break, that is it.
Silver gonna have to move like Stern if this continues, like voiding his salary type beat. Otherwise, you think you've seen superteams? You aint seen nothing yet if contracts mean nothing
Agree. Silver doesn't have the balls like Stern. Stern sidelined MJ to make a statement to the league that gambling or any sort of scandal that will ruin the league will not be tolerated. Silver let the AD fiasco walk past him and look at what the other players like Harden and now Simmons did after. If he won't speak up and do anything about it, more players will stand up to do the same and that will ruin the league as it is.
I agree he needs to give up being a guard an switch positions. He would be great as a C for the warriors as you said or even better a PF FOR THE BULLS!
I've been saying it for years. 1. You should not be able to trade Bird rights 2. If you get a contract using your Bird rights, if you get traded, you lose the difference. The whole point of Bird Rights is to keep players where they were drafted. If you can just sign and trade and still get the player his money... why would the player EVER stay with a franchise? Defeats the entire purpose.
Only point guard I can think of that can’t shoot that anybody would want at least a little is Russell Westbrook, he at least can do things a lot of people can’t and he’s a future hall of famer and was a league mvp and holds records for triple doubles. I only see Simmons as a role player, good defender and athleticism and a good passer but he doesn’t have that IT factor. He’s not the guy that will get a team over the hump
Personally I think the best move for Philly would be a trade for CJ McCollum. It's a win-win for both teams. Portland DESPERATELY needs defense, which Simmons could provide for them. Philly needs floorspacing and playmaking, which CJ could provide for them as well. I know a lot of people bash CJ, but I think he would be a much better FIT in Philly than Ben, and I think Ben's playmaking and defense would allow Dame to specialize in scoring for the team.
For me, I think they could get Beal. Ton of picks, make it a 3 team deal, give them whatever it takes. Easily makes them better, and gives them the 3rd scorer they've needed for while.
Yeah but I don’t think Beal is ready to leave rn. But it might happen during the season especially if the Wizards start to lose a lot of games. But for now I think Beal wants to play with the Wizards new and improved roster
@@user-gm5gc1be4w it's not really up to Beal if the wizards decide to trade him, plus they're rebuilding so a package including Simmons and a ton of picks would be perfect for them, the sixers just need to make sure everything checks out and goes their way.
Nah the NBA is definitely going to add a "Ben Simmons" rule to contracts for young players (I don't know what that rule would be?). Plus Ben has shown he can't take criticism and that's not something you can have on a championship contending team.
in my opinion he needs to do 1 of three things 1 develope a jumper just in general work on his shots 2 change position and focus on his strengts more 3 quit Because i dont see him getting into other teams soon because nobody wants to trade for other superstar and they wont trade him for joe that worked 2 shifts at mcdonalds so yea 1or 2 would be the best because the guy has potential but right now :/ it aint looking sharp
ben simmons honestly is a case of mental exhaustion and sort of a lack of actual work ethic. he was hyped to be the next lebron, 6’10+ 220+ lbs and a nice playmaking and passing ability, but for the past like 4 years we’ve watched the man cost his team playoff series due to his lack of ability to shoot. i’m rooting for him, but i mean it’s clear that he really isn’t trying to improve. i think that if he doesn’t improve his jump shot or skill set, he’ll kinda become a prime draymond. great offensive initiator, great defensive player, probably not shooting a lot of 3’s and staying low in the post.
If I was Simmons right now I would show up to camp and pull a Harden, then when the season starts pull off a Blake Griffin and then if they still don't trade then play well and increase the trade value.
i really hope he gets fined this is just sad. this man hasnt gotten better had a horrible playoffs and now he doesnt want to play. i really hope he gets fine this is horrible

@@baseupp12 I mean tho again it’s his fault they don’t want them there and no team I’m there right mind would take Simmons like outside of real bad teams and maybe teams like the blazers no one wants him and it’s just rude as hell by him he’s the main reason there even in this position and now u wanna get angry when your the driving force holding the team from success
@@baseupp12 but the team is doing what's best for them. Ben is not doing what's best for him. lol
I think Silver will step in. There has to be a precedence, an example to show disgruntled stars that they're not allowed to just screw their contract. Silver has to lay down the hammer now before stars are constantly pulling this Ben Simmons nonsense off.
6:00 Shoots left handed ball goes wide right. Boy oh boy if pull up simmons alive this upcoming season get yo popcorn ready. 😂😂😂😂
Odd mix of NBA content and pokemon music but i’m so down for it - great video!
Suspend Simmons without pay for the season and fine him on top of that for violating his contract.
There needs to be a hard, perhaps overly harsh, punishment by the league and the team. Otherwise this becomes widespread and hurts the fans, especially in small market teams.
Very nice vid, liked the vibe of seeing you talk to camera while clips were playing.
Only thing is he talks so fast you think he's freestyling or rapping
I feel like this kind of player discontentment does put some pressure on organizations to be better at organization and personnel management. Putting a fire under bad management like the Knicks and Pelicans
Where have you been???!!! Glad you're back
I think the best Simmons trade, where it equally benefits both sides or close to it would be Portland trading CJ McCollum for Simmons straight up or maybe throw in some young players from Portland but I feel like that's a fair trade, and realistic. Moorey I've heard wants Dame for Simmons but he definitely isn't equal value to Dame
Loved the Pokemon Gameboy theme playing in the background
It’s such a bad situation because in either case a terrible precedent will be set if he gets his way you can sit out and be moved if he doesn’t your team can trash you and attempt to trade you and you’ll still be stuck with them.
Glad you’re back brother.
76ers: I’ll pay you $35 mil to play.
Ben: You paid me but you didn’t praise me, now you must trade me.
76ers: That wasn’t part of the deal!
Ben: I have altered the deal, pray I do not alter it further.

@@Starvin-Marvin Uuuh not really, there's always the same two lines-four lines when I scroll, and I just throw a likely assumption (considering I don't care just like everybody else) about it being the same guy doing it.
Back at it with a banger
I think it's a great precedent. Incompetent management gets to do whatever they want, houston, new Orleans, Utah, etc.
Love the Pokemon professor oak background music while you explained
They could’ve gotten to the finals in 2020 if they kept their team from the previous year together, could’ve gotten close to the finals this year if Simmons wasn’t scared of layups
This dude is acting WAAAAAAY too entitled for someone that folded and didn't even score points for his team when they needed him
Love that OG pokemon music🙏
Sup Dom! First time seeing you my man! This is the kinda shit that makes me miss the 80s and 90s NBA. But what do I know, I am just some guy.
Finally! Ngl Dom thought you was quitting this channel for a sec
I was thinking like man... will this guy ever upload on this channel.
I needed this video
I like the setup! Ay, I’m an engineer bro, I have a suggestion - use an EQ to cut out the “boomy” frequency in your vocal.
Bruh this dude is deadweight, how does he still have a job. The Sixers should've traded him last year when harden was available. SMDH, i'm upset
Been expecting this all day yes sir!
Dom a 🐐
Thought I was losing my mind. I'm like why do I hear Pokémon music lol
Digging the retro Pokémon music brought me back to route 1
I say try to get Bagley and Hield from Sacramento and then have the kings play him at PF or C. Then the Sixers can find a serviceable PG
What the hell is bagley and hield gonna do for the Sixers, they want to win a championship not make the 2nd round
Bum Scrimmage is a Point Center that can guard all 5 positions against a statistical majority of teams. He just has zero work ethic.
The new upcoming generation of basketball is so good next season most players seem healthy too
I agree he needs to give up being a guard an switch positions. He would be great as a C for the warriors as you said or even better a PF FOR THE BULLS!
I've been saying it for years.
1. You should not be able to trade Bird rights
2. If you get a contract using your Bird rights, if you get traded, you lose the difference.
The whole point of Bird Rights is to keep players where they were drafted. If you can just sign and trade and still get the player his money... why would the player EVER stay with a franchise? Defeats the entire purpose.
League is definitely gonna make sure this doesn’t pay off for Ben Simmons
I’ve praised Simmons...now how can I defend him 😔
Me too
Harden for Simmons sounded like the deal a couple months ago. Crazy how much his stock has dropped
About that…
Ben Simmons now becomes the highest paid NBA mascot of all time.
Love u dom❤️
The Pokémon background music 🔥🔥🔥🔥
honestly its kinda on the 76ers for still not trading him even tho he clearly wants out
Trade can't happen if nobody wants him 🤷🏾♂️
Who wants a point guard that can’t shoot?
Only point guard I can think of that can’t shoot that anybody would want at least a little is Russell Westbrook, he at least can do things a lot of people can’t and he’s a future hall of famer and was a league mvp and holds records for triple doubles. I only see Simmons as a role player, good defender and athleticism and a good passer but he doesn’t have that IT factor. He’s not the guy that will get a team over the hump
@@DenniDownBad people wants him philly is asking for to much
@@DenniDownBad Trade can't happen if the Sixers demand too much for him*
“Eric Bledsoe type beat”😭😭
remember when harden wanted to leave houston and was OK with going to philadelphia, but sixers fans didn't want to trade simmons for harden?
Personally I think the best move for Philly would be a trade for CJ McCollum. It's a win-win for both teams. Portland DESPERATELY needs defense, which Simmons could provide for them. Philly needs floorspacing and playmaking, which CJ could provide for them as well. I know a lot of people bash CJ, but I think he would be a much better FIT in Philly than Ben, and I think Ben's playmaking and defense would allow Dame to specialize in scoring for the team.
Aye let's go Dom is back
I feel like the Blazers if they find the right package to move CJ for Ben should do that
Oh man I couldn’t even focus on what you were saying I was jamming to that Pokemon theme lol👀😂
Right, that man is 6'10 and he is acting like a diva
yessuh time to get into this.
in my opinion he needs to do 1 of three things
1 develope a jumper just in general work on his shots
2 change position and focus on his strengts more
3 quit Because i dont see him getting into other teams soon because nobody wants to trade for other superstar and they wont trade him for joe that worked 2 shifts at mcdonalds so yea
1or 2 would be the best because the guy has potential but right now :/ it aint looking sharp
I hope he doesnt get traded juat so players cant do this
ben simmons honestly is a case of mental exhaustion and sort of a lack of actual work ethic. he was hyped to be the next lebron, 6’10+ 220+ lbs and a nice playmaking and passing ability, but for the past like 4 years we’ve watched the man cost his team playoff series due to his lack of ability to shoot. i’m rooting for him, but i mean it’s clear that he really isn’t trying to improve. i think that if he doesn’t improve his jump shot or skill set, he’ll kinda become a prime draymond. great offensive initiator, great defensive player, probably not shooting a lot of 3’s and staying low in the post.
NBA talk with Pokemon music playing... **chef's kiss**
Conclusion: Ben Simmon’s lack of ability to shoot in the modern NBA is so crippling that he should no longer be in the league.
That’s not the issue, the issue is that he can’t play with a post/paint dominant center. He’d probably be more effective as a center.
2:46 he had an easy dunk or layup but his footwork was so bad he went for an awkward close fadeaway lol
What up bro I really love your show and I really love your nba video CLIP
A three team deal is my honest prediction for Ben Simmons 🤞🏽
I’m in full support of Ben. This is the pride he owns and deserves
