The 2K13 review will drop in about 3 hours. I had to reupload this due to it being taken down, so if you could leave a like it'd help it get back where it was. Thanks. man these old 2k games are something to look back on, no matter good or bad i dont ever think 2k can replicate the energy and love that they use to put into these games. Maybe nostalgia is talking but before vc, 2k was so different
The best 2k by far... No VC that you have too actually pay for, no paying for tattoos, no paying for gear... No paying for shit.. Just straight too the point real hoopers feel me..
@JACQUEZ JOHNSON 2k16 is actually not as good as 11 for a few reasons (of course my opinion) at release 2k16 was horrible, still right now, it feels too similar to 2k15 (ps4/xbox edition), pay to win, less game modes, its such a shame though, cause while 2k11 and 2k16 were good sports game, they still aren't good enough, its actually a shame i have to rate a sports game in 2 ways, as a sports game, and as a video game, quick example i would rate 2k11 a 9.0/10 compared to other sports game, but comparing it to video games in general, a 3.0/10, while 2k 16 would be a 8.5/10 sports game and a 2.5/10 video game in general, and the reason why is because sports game release yearly so it doesn't even look like much care his put in to it, theres no heart in it, when im playing it, i dont feel like the developers made the game because they want me to enjoy it, but rather they want me to spend as much money as possible (and i know the devs dont decide that) but still
Bro my first 2K was 2K12 and I didn’t even have it when it came out. I wanted a basketball game but my dad didn’t trust the newer, more expensive game, so he got 2K12 to see if I liked it. I’m so glad he did because I loved every single part of it. I still think it’s one of the best of all the 2Ks
Mann this is when 2k was at its peak, no VC, no packs, just grinding and playing, I put more hours into 2k11 and 2k12, than I have with any of the newer 2k’s
This game was really underrated. Just think about it, they took 2K11 For many people is considered the greatest 2K of all time and they built upon it with more modes better graphics, and one could argue a smoother gameplay. This game might be low-key the goat of 2K. Not to mention, the soundtrack is pretty solid as well.
2k12 was one of my favorites. I never had Xbox Live, so it was all about the offline play for me. The NBA legend mode was sick, and I personally think 2k12 had the last good soundtrack.
2k12 when it first came out felt similar to 2k11. In the Jordan challenge it was like I wish I could go back in time again and but more in depth. 2k12 brought that and it brought back to life some of the underdogs and forgotten athletes this game has produced. Players like Muggsy Bouges, Penny Hardaway, Chris Jackson and etc. It was an exciting time because growing up we had to always create hella players. Creating Barkley and Reggie was nothing but imagine trying to create ALL the classic role players too. 2k did the retro community a favor and allowed us to finally see the “small” guys get love in nba 2k for the first time.
Still come back and play 2k12 till this day. This game is the only 2k where I felt like I had "total control" of my player at all times. The signature moves for everyone was on another level. The best portrayals of any 2k. I love to see Wilt Chamberlain's and Rick Barry's underhand freethrow shots. Other players old and new sigs. This game also has the best defense hands down of any 2k. You had to play smart. Now playing with Zion and the pelicans from the UBR! More epic awesomeness!
I’m telling y’all 2k12 was THE MOST SLEPT ON 2k... it was so good and underrated and you actually had to play smart instead of spamming the dribble stick. The only broken thing in the game was the Spin Dunk animation. It was basically unstoppable.
Creating a legend needs to come back, sometimes I’d rather play as a rookie, an up and coming player or a former star and play out their career as opposed to my career. But 2K is all about the microtransactions now so we’ll never see it again
I believe sports games are the biggest reason current generation doesn't have backwards compatibility as previous generations did. 2k12 is better then 2k20 change my mind
I miss the greatest players thing. The vibe they recreated with the resolution or color of the camera during the game was perfect. It also gave those legendary players their deserved shine. I mean imagine if they kept updating this, like being able to remake Wilts 100 points game or other great historic matchups of teams and players etc, like Kobe who was 3-1 vs the Suns but this time you solo army win the game. Or Lebron solo vs the GS like last time, but you play the first game again that JR screwed up but you win.
I still play 2k12 on my ps3 tbh since I haven't upgraded yet and I like it. I can't help but rage over the movement when it comes to dribbling tho because there was no possible way for you to actually go by your defender in 12 compared to what 2k13 and all the games after that did. I still rage over it but I like it anyway
2k12 was and still is my favorite 2k game of all time. That 2k game was the game game that I put the most time and effort in, even after the launch of 2k13 I went right back to 12. An excellent soundtrack, amazing presentation and graphics, the mycareer was dope as hell (I wish they'd bring back skill points so it wouldn't be a play to win kinda game). 2k12 was just the best in my opinion
2k12 was nice at the time! it improved a lot when it comes to features but it took a few steps back with gameplay I don't remember all the flaws, but everyone wanted to go back and play 2k11 besides the speed problem, the defense was too OP so you had a hard time getting to the basket and Post Hops were kinda OP, and fadeways were easy to make and in MyCareer, the way you earned your salary was "not fun". if you wanted to buy MJ's jump shot you had to play 2 seasons to be able to earn that amount of money those are some things that I remember.
I’m pretty sure that rookies from 2011 were only absent when the game first came out. There was an update later, after the lockout which added them in. I’m not sure it’s attainable on console anymore but the PC version has a popular unofficial patch which contains them.
2K12 was the best 2K game, and I own all the games from 2K on the Dreamcast all the way to 2K17 on Xbox One (stopped playing the series after that game after I realize what garbage the series had become).
I remember playing my career and creating athletic small forward.Improved dunk and shoot in traffic.Spin dunk was unstoppable,I just could dunk over guys almost every possesion.Still remember those animations and sprite replays
9:24 the reason was because since my players were on native hard drives instead of 2Ks server people could could just put there my player on there PC and make them a 99 and like 9 foot tall so 2K just decided to gut my player online until 2k13
If you want this game because of its features, this was the one to go to especially if you like historic NBA. If you want the gameplay of it, it's hard to go with this. Post defense is OP, hop steps are OP, somehow tall and slow centers can catch up to lightning quick players, and post fades are too easy despite the OP post defense. Not as bad as 2K18 later on but you had to rely on a good outside strategy because there was no way you could attack the hoop. The post controls were very nice though and you could spam Dirk if you used him right. This is one of the better 2Ks but 2K11 will always reign supreme.
2k14 was the last one I was playing. Still had the good animations and the good legends and has the good mod support still. 2k15 is where modding drops off and you get kind of a slower game with too much shooting and BS in it.
I do that as well in 2k, I’ll release all of them legends and do a fantasy draft on association or release all the scrubs and add them evenly on each team and play myplayer
One thing that really ticked me off about 2k12 is how OP Derrick Rose was. Granted he did just come off his MVP season, but I kid you not I had an easier time putting the clamps on Lebron James in my career then I did with rose. He never missed lay-ups, always got phantom and1s. It was just super frustrating
I play 2k12 until now and one of the biggest issues i faced is the difficulty of making an ankle breaker. In the 3 years that I played i've only done it once and seen the cpu do it twice. And the contact shot animations are hella broken too
Yooo I have this game with disc for PS3 no scratches and the ball looks realistic with a needle on it and now I want to buy 2K11 for PS3 as well in Christmas
Once 2k13 came out I either kept playing 2k12 or eventually just stopped playing 2k. I didn't really care for 2k14 or 15. And the only other 2k I played alot of was 2k18. Still 2k12 to me was the most entertaining
Omg I can't like this enough. It wasn't perfect but dam was it good. I don't even have time to go into how good it was. And they could have built upon it as a base moving forward and had true greatness.
The Nostalgia! My record was crazy for online it was like 250-30 loses. Thats one thing I wish I kept up with but instead I met a lot of cool people and we would run seasons with drafts and everything. I even won the nba finals with the shittiest team one year. I ended up joining a season late and getting a left over team. My two best players were Montae Ellis and John Salmons. Everybody went crazy in our voice chat when I ended up winning it all lol. Good times
Bro folks don't even understand Montae and John were actually real cheat codes when played right on that game Montae was the only person I could beat my brother with and I couldn't beat him with no other team at the time 🤣
No one's gonna talk about how players change their jumpshots depending on their positioning while shooting on the 3 point range? The first time I played this game that's the first thing I've noticed and I was like "deym that's kinda cool though"
I've been playing this game lately and there were abilities before badges and I think it's bs to have a badge to make free throws or to have to have a post fade away ability when you have a 80 post shot I have a 3pt specialist missing open threes
still playing this after 9 years. it had its own shortcomings though. in particular, the devs are obsessed with the chicago bulls, playing against them is a complete nightmare. they got a luol deng that shoots 3s better than larry bird, derrick rose at the time was still like a jordan in the making, joachim noah apparently unstoppable offensively (he was good in defence, but as offence, man). carlos boozer puts the likes of tim duncan to shame as post player, and then you got bench players like brewer coming on and making 4 or 5 threes out of nowhere. it doesnt end there. i was able to beat the bulls on their court with my ATL side, joe johnson destroying everything. guess what? 2 days after the game joe johnson gets a "broken jaw" injury, out 9 weeks. Omfg.
The DLC with legends made this game the greatest experience in exploring the past and all of its legends. It was the only mode where Stockton actually had shorter shorts than others despite being a Stockton from 94 and not 88, and finally having Stockton look the part while wearing the classic Jazz jerseys of Mardi Gras Nola made it the most authentic classic players and teams ever got. Once I got that mode I abandoned everything else and I haven’t bought another 2k since
The 2K13 review will drop in about 3 hours.
I had to reupload this due to it being taken down, so if you could leave a like it'd help it get back where it was.
Thanks.

Tonio5100 my Guy 💯
I salute you G
U a real one bro
Thanks
A real one
2k12 had its problems, but the presentation was beautiful and the soundtrack list was one of the greatest of all time
Yea I loved the sound track. Best IMO in the 2k series.
2k13 has the best by far
@@alexanderschdroski5936 lol really nba 2k13 soundtrack when jay z killed the bball game
Name 1 song other than "Basketball"
Because the soundtrack is trash.
2k12 is where I fell in love with the post fadeaway.
The post game and controls definitely peaked that year.
Facts! I used the Mavs and Dirk Nowitzki was unstoppable. That was the first game I actually felt like I was playing Dirk
2k12 had the best post game out of all the 2ks
Fadeaways on 2K12 were unstoppable. That was my go to playing style. And once they started to double just kick it out for 3’s
man these old 2k games are something to look back on, no matter good or bad i dont ever think 2k can replicate the energy and love that they use to put into these games. Maybe nostalgia is talking but before vc, 2k was so different
Real fans saw this when it first drop
Caleb Perkins here’s your cookie 🍪
The best 2k by far... No VC that you have too actually pay for, no paying for tattoos, no paying for gear... No paying for shit.. Just straight too the point real hoopers feel me..
2k11 was the best
no situation mode, so 2k11 is better imo

Same man same
2k12 soundtrack had that underground fire
This game holds a special place in my heart because this was my first 2k game I ever played had and bought
The fog effect to the classic arenas are amazing!! and the multiple scoreboards!!! why did 2k get soooooo lazyyyyy.
They found out about how profitable myteam and my career
@@Solznmid And yet they never update them 😂😂😂 just more cringe stories in mycareer and new cards and challenges in MyTeam
This game was really underrated. IMO this is the most underrated 2k of all time it got stuck in 2k11s shadow even tho it was literally as good as it
2k12 was one of my favorites. I never had Xbox Live, so it was all about the offline play for me. The NBA legend mode was sick, and I personally think 2k12 had the last good soundtrack.
BASKETBALL ITS MY FAVORITE SPORT.. I love it when THEY DRIBBLE UP AND DOWN THE COURT 🎶🎶
This was the first 2k i played its my favorite no cap.

2K12 was my first 2K
Saiyan Prince same
Mine was 13
Saiyan Prince mines too
2k 10 was mine
NBA2K was my first.
Bro NBAs greatest mode, association mode, and Create a legend was so much fun.
It’s crazy because to this day 2k12 is the highest rated 2k of all time
2k12 when it first came out felt similar to 2k11. A small detail from this game,I liked the vibrant and rumbling animations, it enhanced the attitude that the game and that year's season held
I’m telling y’all 2k12 was THE MOST SLEPT ON 2k... it was so good and underrated and you actually had to play smart instead of spamming the dribble stick. The only broken thing in the game was the Spin Dunk animation. It was basically unstoppable.

2k5 is my first love , 9th grade played the hell out of it.
I believe sports games are the biggest reason current generation doesn't have backwards compatibility as previous generations did. 2k12 is better then 2k20 change my mind
Facts 12 was my favorite
2K20 is trash 12 was actually neat and extremely underrated
The lockout ruined this game.. by the time the lockout was over nobody was trying to play this game I rather keep playing 2k11
Can't wait for that 2k14 review. Best graphics in a basketball game ever
My fav 2k
You forgot about nba live 2014
g g One of the best ones on next-gen besides the CAP part. Nonetheless, one of the best ones.
That was when i start to play this game, best game so far.
I honestly loved 2k11 so much that i played a 18 year career. Didnt retire until 2k13 came out. I always regret retiring before 20 yrs.

I still rage over it but I like it anyway
Keep up the good work dom
Best 2k by far especially the gameplay controls. Dribbling and shooting so simple/seamless.
Nah, I prefer the dribbling being transferred to the right stick. So smooth using that 🔥
That legends shit was live AF
Just a note, the legends showcase was AMAZING!!! I don’t even know if you can still play it or obtain it nowadays but it was amazing back then!
Thank you everyone talks about 2k 11 but in my opinion 12 was the best
The soundtrack and game is great!
2k12 was nice at the time! it improved a lot when it comes to features but it took a few steps back with gameplay
I don't remember all the flaws, but everyone wanted to go back and play 2k11
besides the speed problem, the defense was too OP so you had a hard time getting to the basket
and Post Hops were kinda OP, and fadeways were easy to make
and in MyCareer, the way you earned your salary was "not fun". if you wanted to buy MJ's jump shot you had to play 2 seasons to be able to earn that amount of money
those are some things that I remember.
This was my first 2k i really went deep in with association and my player, classic times.
I’m pretty sure that rookies from 2011 were only absent when the game first came out. There was an update later, after the lockout which added them in. I’m not sure it’s attainable on console anymore but the PC version has a popular unofficial patch which contains them.
The Player models and Jerseys in nba2k12 is improved!! Which is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
2K12 was the best 2K game, and I own all the games from 2K on the Dreamcast all the way to 2K17 on Xbox One (stopped playing the series after that game after I realize what garbage the series had become).
The main exploit was the spin move into a pump fake then layup. Spin jumper as well. Best cheesy players were LeBron, Drose, Kobe, and Penny Hardaway.
Best intro of all time
Its give me chills
A Google User brings back soooo many memories
The best game for footwork and post moves till this day....
Love watching this again!!!
I remember playing my career and creating athletic small forward.Improved dunk and shoot in traffic.Spin dunk was unstoppable,I just could dunk over guys almost every possesion.Still remember those animations and sprite replays
Creating a legend mode was GOAT
I wish 2k would add retro courts and broadcast view. A basketball court without a 3 point line. Playing games in a black and white filter.
9:24 the reason was because since my players were on native hard drives instead of 2Ks server people could could just put there my player on there PC and make them a 99 and like 9 foot tall so 2K just decided to gut my player online until 2k13
If the lockout never happened this game would be the GOAT
Love ur vids bruuh, keep schoolin us on NBA2K history lol
I thought this was a Deja Vu at first. Lol.
I think you forgot to mention that there are three different covers for the game: MJ, Magic, & Bird.
That dlc was absolute fire 🔥
I call this game the beginning of the end of good basketball games
I’m replaying 2k12 on Xbox360. Does anyone know how to unlock the classic Kings with Webber and Warriors with Mullin?
We’re PLAYING BASKETBALLLL! We love that BASKETBALLLLLLLL
If you want this game because of its features, this was the one to go to especially if you like historic NBA. If you want the gameplay of it, it's hard to go with this. They need to bring back that black and grey old school mode
I play 2k12 until now and one of the biggest issues i faced is the difficulty of making an ankle breaker. In the 3 years that I played i've only done it once and seen the cpu do it twice. And the contact shot animations are hella broken too
2k12 not having crew was the biggest problem for me. If it had it I think I would've liked it more than 2k11
It’s still a great 2k
I got this game for my birthday, then 2 days later my brother broke the game, and that was the last time I ever played it.
Yooo I have this game with disc for PS3 no scratches and the ball looks realistic with a needle on it and now I want to buy 2K11 for PS3 as well in Christmas

I can softly hear Zion I- Many stylez while watching this vid

Best nba2k HANDS DOWN!
Fire vid👀🔥
Dude there is some Rookies in nba2k12 Bro!!!
Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker, Jimmy Butler, Klay Thompson, Kawhi Leonard and etc.
I remember that it was so hard to get to the rim. And I like this game bc creating a a legend was in it
They should remaster the game!! At least the Jordan mode!!
Omg I can't like this enough. It wasn't perfect but dam was it good. I don't even have time to go into how good it was. And they could have built upon it as a base moving forward and had true greatness.
I think 2k12 was the greatest
I had the DLC it was pretty fun, h.o.r.s.e was fun you could shoot your shots off buildings and shit

One of my favorite things was that you could play music on freestyle mode and that you were able to play both teams.
Magic look ashy in that thumnail. I forgot how ashy the game looked
I am old enough to remember the 1999 and 2011 lockouts
No one's gonna talk about how players change their jumpshots depending on their positioning while shooting on the 3 point range? The first time I played this game that's the first thing I've noticed and I was like "deym that's kinda cool though"
2K12 was the first one I ever played and it was that game and Chris Smoove that got me into basketball lmao
I still play 2k12 whenever I can
I miss create a legend 😔
Game was great idk why people hate on 2k12 definitely underrated Shannon brown was a cheat code
I've been playing this game lately and there were abilities before badges and I think it's bs to have a badge to make free throws or to have to have a post fade away ability when you have a 80 post shot I have a 3pt specialist missing open threes
the best thing about 2k12 was the Dirk Leg kick fadeaway
This to me is still the best 2k game ever. I played that game heavy. I just wish I knew where the disc was.
still playing this after 9 years.
it had its own shortcomings though. in particular, the devs are obsessed with the chicago bulls, playing against them is a complete nightmare. they got a luol deng that shoots 3s better than larry bird, derrick rose at the time was still like a jordan in the making, joachim noah apparently unstoppable offensively (he was good in defence, but as offence, man). carlos boozer puts the likes of tim duncan to shame as post player, and then you got bench players like brewer coming on and making 4 or 5 threes out of nowhere.

2k13 my favorite 2k

It was the only mode where Stockton actually had shorter shorts than others despite being a Stockton from 94 and not 88, and finally having Stockton look the part while wearing the classic Jazz jerseys of Mardi Gras Nola made it the most authentic classic players and teams ever got.
