I was able to pay off my debt in the year 2023 and that is all because of your videos. I am addicted to your videos. They speak to me. Love you Jenn❤❤❤
Thanks Jenn for another dose of wisdom. Just finished paying off my car( I have not done justice celebrating this achievement), unfortunately I got retrenched. But I know I have R5500 back every month from my next job or emergency budget looks much healthier as I continue with the job search. What a proud moment 🎉
Firstly congratulations sis’wami for paying off your car. I am sorry about getting retrenched, God will open doors because you are not sitting and waiting. Opportunities meets us in our pursuit for better or new opportunities. I am glad that you have an emergency fund which is sustaining you right now.
I'll be paying off my biggest debt in the next 13 months... which will save me 3 years of interest and stress🕯️. I'm praying for strength and patience🙏🏾 True...WHY? is the driving force. I don't want my life to be controlled by debt. I don't want to wake up and go to work because of debts. Thank you Jenn❤ Blessed Sunday everyone 🙏🏾
I am so happy for you, I am happy that you are resilient and very clear about your goal. That is recommendable. I pray that God gives you strength to keep going Vuyi 🥰💐
I love your Simplicity Jen Am copying your lifestyle, Am praying to do better by day.. Being a mom of 3 , trying to keep up with my expanses.. But I'm grateful for trusting n learning from people like you
I honestly wish I was exposed to your videos 2/3 ago Nkosi yami...I'd be so far! But better late than never. Thank you for dropping such knowledge into each video
Hi Jenn. Thank you so much for the wonderful content. I recently startedy my journey. However, i am starting with a 3 months Emergency Fund (Living Expenses), then i will start payjng down debts. I'm so motivated🎉🎉.
Building an emergency fund is very important, I will also say make sure the debts you are not costing you more in the long run. Especially if you have credit card debt.
Mhhh i really and trully needed to hear this im first thing in the morning doing a budget i must finish my car and then start saving its such a disgrace that i dont 3ven have 1k saved up in any of my accounts
Hey Baby girl l have just discovered you🎉😊❤wow you just got yourself a new subbie I'm here for the wisdom and hoping to kill that debt as well#TestimonyLoading❤
Thanks Jenn for always making time for empowering us❤ I always pay more also when I have any debt, I was able to finish my car within short space of 3 years now im busy paying more for my moms house. How I wish people can subscribe n learn from you.
15th November 2024 and thank you bcoz I was worrying about stupid christmas clothes while the youngest is starting school 2025. Danki sesi, we tend to prioritize unnecessary things😘😍🤗
Thank you, I keep asking how do I do that. That way I can do it. I keep thinking you mean time stamps. I can only add the on the discription box sometimes UA-cam will pick them up and include them as the video is playing. This would be easier if I was uploading from a laptop but I dont. If this is not what you mean I am confused.
I can attest that paying more in the loan does help you not pay more on interest.meaning more money to you and not the bank...Savings rescues us,it is not depriving yourself.Thank you Jenn, your videos are helping and i too can say a day without you is not a complete day.God bless you
Hmm not quite,Guys! restructuring a loan &asking for a shorter period =higher installment means that u are paying way higher interests. Rather take the longest term on your loan(which means lesser interest) and ask for an account number where u can make additional payments monthly. This extra payment towards the loan means you are attacking the balance straight and the bank cannot put interest on that extra payments you make towards the loan.
I beg to disagree on that part of interest. Interest on a debt is not charged based on the term, if you have a good credit score you stand a far better chance of getting charged a reasonable interest rate. When your credit score is low they interest charged on your debt will be higher, why? The reason is that a credit score is a reflection of how well you pay your creditors. So if your score is low the bank will charge you a higher interest because they want to get all the money fast just incase you default. So back to your comment, asking to shorten the term and pay more does not mean you pay more interest because interest is added every month as you pay for your debt not when you take out a debt. So when you pay more for a shorter period of time you limit the amount of interest you are likely to pay. When I restructured my loan, I moved from an interest of 17.5% to 12.5%. This was largely because of my credit score. That is why on the video I emphasised making sure your credit score is good because doing this because the ideal situation we are looking for is to get a lower interest rate that what we started with. If you can’t get a lower rate that it’s not wise to do this. I must emphasise this, interest charged on a debt is not dependent on duration. How long you pay the debts determines how much interest you will pay at the end. Maybe I should do a video about this.
You create one yourself based on your current debts. Remember you already have a payment plan with a bank when they offered you the credit. But if you want to pay off debt fast then you create your own based on your affordability.
Hey Sis❤ Haven't commented inam a while. I love all the lessons but as an unemployed mom i have anxiety during month end cause I'm thinking if i was earning something id be doing this or that. Thank you so much for always teaching us❤
You need to truly evaluate why you are failing to save. You not being able to save is a symptom to a deeper problem. Once you understand the problem then the symptom will go away. Take time to figure out why you are unable to save.
paid off my loan of 24month in 13months i paid my last payment this month... i had two loans now i wana finish the bigger one with what was my monthly installment for the one i just finished... it is left with 8months i wana pay in less than 5 or 5 at most.
Hi Jen I want you to advise on this loans like from old mutual, letsego etc. how to pay it off faster as they are deducting for instance from your salary please. Thanks
I highly recommend watching this follow up video: The fastest way to get out of debt | How to create a debt repayment plan ua-cam.com/video/CvQO_QrCGDg/v-deo.html
It’s possible to pay it off, not sure how long it would take you as this is largely dependent on how much you are paying on the loan (additional amount).
@@JennNxumalo it will be done with every money that gets into my account I make it a point to transfer 10% of it into the loan no matter how much the amount is if R100 gets into my account without a doubt R10 will be transferred into the loan account, hopefully it will make sense one day currently at R173 534 now🥴
Would you recommend taking out a longer term on a loan so as to decrease the interest rate and installment. And then pay back double the installment? Because I've noticed the interest rate on personal loans tends to be higher if you take it on a short term.

Still heartbreaking though...eish i need to really have will power to do this myself...
