I had one of my worst ever lessons 2 weeks before my test, my instructor was so surprised at how bad I did 🤦🏻♀️ I was even considering postponing my test… but 2 weeks later, I passed, with only 4 minors and the test examiner said I was a great driver !! Its normal to have bad lessons leading up to the test😊
Hey Pin! Passed my driving test today with no official lessons, just learning with my mum and using your videos. Thanks so much for helping me get there!!
Seen the title of the video and thought he was throwing the poor girl under the bus, quickly realised he was only quoting her saying it. I much prefer the faults being stated on the fly than edited later. Good video
I failed all 3 of my mocks with a major and about 7/8 minors but learnt from them and passed first time with 3 minors. My mocks were so hard compared to my test.
This is a great video and really helpful as a learner at about the same level as Phoebe. She’s sweet, funny, great Road attitude and taking feedback. I would just like to point out I noticed maybe 4/5 occasions where she stays in 2nd on a 30mph road where there wasn’t parked cars etc. Just didn’t hear you mention it at all during the video and could be a minor. I know you need 2nd for hills (which she did well late changing) and when restricted space but like the last main road before you turn into the industrial estate where the test centre is, that 3rd gear was way too late IMO on a flat, open road. Just trying to be helpful. I think Phoebe is amazing and will continue to enjoy her videos and hope she passes first time ❤
Honestly, driving is so hard these days - so many cars on the road. When my dad did his lessons, he had like 5 and passed first time. It annoys me when other drivers aren't patient with learners, majority of the time these people are a lot older and learnt when there was far less traffic. For me as a learner, the biggest hurdle is feeling like I have to have eyes at the back of my head, I don't trust anyone and assume that everyone is a hazard.
i passed 7 years ago and still hate when people have no patience with learners. like the more you beep, the longer they will take because of the pressure, people just need to chill
I think Phoebe's worst mistake today was turning up for her lesson. Lack of concentration. She didn't expect the roundabout to be there oh sorry I've just knocked somebody over he wasn't meant to be there. 😂😂
I completely disagree Nick and this is a horrible comment to leave. As a fellow learner who is at a similar stage with my test about 8 weeks ago, you have good weeks and bad weeks. Pin also stated this is a hard test route and may learners have more errors in this one. The important thing is that she turned up, listened to instructions, didn’t let her faults fluster her whilst driving and she knew many of her faults as they happened. No bus pass needed Phoebe. I did a tough route this week and got 2 serious instead of the 1 serious the week before and did lots more minors this week which I didn’t have last week. You’re doing great!
I wasn't being malicious I'm sure Phoebe saw the funny side. Respect to all the learners as the weight of traffic on the roads today is very different to when I was learning. Good luck to all the learners.
1st test - 12 faults and 1 serious, 2nd test 6 faults and 1 dangerous, 3rd test 3 faults and 2 serious. Literally just stupid and unlucky mistakes. Test 4 in October.
When you asked Phoebe to go straight ahead on that roundabout 3rd exit, and she just cut across to the other lane and went 4th exit I think it's clear why she made the mistake. It's likely she failed to notice the left turn slip lane, that should be treated as the first exit of the roundabout. Easily done, if she hasn't encountered them before.
I miss my instructors car with hill assist, now i gotta rawdog hills with a manual handbrake and 54 bhp. At least corner lanes turns can be whipped at max speed now tho😭🙏
This is more stressful for her than the actual driving test. In no way telling her mistakes straight away is helping at all. You need to do one where you treat it like a driving test not some customised version 😂
the instructor is talking a hell of a lot for a mock, and reflecting on her mistakes before she's finished not letting her concentrate, even telling her how many faults he's counted whilst she's still driving
Yeah that makes me kinda uncomfortable. This stuff is fine at low speed imo, but at 30 mph and higher it doesn’t feel great, you don’t really get the best control…
@@gefulltetaubenbrust2788 I don't remember watching any video she going on 70mph motorway, merging from slip road with two hands at the bottom definitely doesn't feel safe

@@moymoy8I'm sure that'll be great, until you get to a roundabout, a busy junction or a traffic light and you're both now separated, leaving an anxious driver on their own. Brilliant idea.

Hello from Croatia, I have one question about driving in the UK.. most of the rules are simmalar, but why sihnar right on a big roundabout? Say it's the 3rd exit, you signal right, after the first exit you're already in the same spot you'd be as if you were going straight.. so why not go without a signal and when you're 1 exit before leaving just signal left and leave? Sorry if it doesn't make sense all the way, but I'm just curious why you'd signal right when people aren't entering even if you just have no signal on.
If we signal right, we are taking the 3rd exit or any exit that's on the right-hand side of the Roundabout and then we signal left just before the exit to show we're getting off on the exit coming up. And we don't signal to start with we are going straight on the Roundabout and we just signal to leave. We use the left signal for the 1st exit and for signalling off the roundabout. Helps everyone understand on the roundabout where everyone is intending to go and exit.
wouldnt that be a minor fault if the examiner said sorry can you wait til i adjust my mirror but she kept the incdicator on while you were adjusting it ?
Nope. It is the driving instructors responsibility to ensure that they have everything set correctly. As a (passed) driver you should have full awareness of the vehicle and should not be relying on somebody else for visibility, the indicator was fine.
35:40 she turned right here when the light turned red, are we allowed to do that please? I thought the traffic light there would have to turn green before the cars can turn into the right
An awful lot of COASTING going on too that goes a bit uncorrected???? Keep going though.... Think of how far you've come and that you're nearly there 💚💚💚💚💚
