@Capt'n Howdy not that I know of, because Redbubble base costs are a moving target. I published a video on price points a while back and it was outdate pretty quickly
This is such an addictive rabbit hole topic! I've read multiple articles/papers which indicate that conversion rates increase if a rounded number is used for personal/pleasurable items like a t-shirt (15 vs 14.99) whereas if it's a utilitarian item, like batteries, it's the opposite and sales benefit from the use of the XX.99 rather than rounded. Definitely a funny one.
This is one of your best videos, I really love studying the physiology behind what makes people tick, I bought a book called words that sell which is an interesting topic of its own, keep these great videos coming :)
Hey, pretty sweet video exploring some concepts. I am an artist and pricing my original art is so tough- intuition and applying my most honest price to my work seems to be the right thing so far. Any ".99" or ".95" prices with artwork seems to be off-putting for me as both seller or buyer. I feel artwork and exclusive items should have clean rounded number without any left digit tricks. I'd love to explore these concepts deeply and break down why they work and how they do or don't apply given contexts
Wow... Now that you show these examples, they really DO make a difference! People really do prefer free shipping. These are awesome though, thank you for sharing!
All this is good advice but I would caution people who sell on Ebay when it comes to separating shipping & handling from the price. One of the search criteria people can use while searching for products is searching ONLY listings with free shipping so this strategy would omit your listings from the search. It's been a while since I sold on Ebay but when I was offering 'fast & free shipping' it helped to improve Ebay SEO so your listings would show higher in the rankings. So I would test both strategies before going all in on one or the other.
Great information, thank you Ryan. I have designs that have sold on Merch however I haven't sold any in my Etsy store. The pricing is higher for Etsy due to costs and shipping with the POD company I'm with. I'm trying to move over and work a suitable UK POD company rather than the current USA based one as 99% of my sales on Amazon have come from .co.uk rather than .com therefore I'm thinking i may be able to work better with pricing if cost and lead time is reduced too. Combining that with some of the information in this video may help improve my Etsy store. Thanks again, looking forward to the next video.
FB ads and e-commerce success is definitely part luck, I opened a store to 17k sales first month and then an unrelated beauty product I was just testing.... banned the whole account. First instance. No second chance or any semblance of reasonability. If it weren't for that or the circumstantial not promoting that one product, I'd be a success story by now. Everything I did was working. Since then have run into consistent issues with Business Managers. But, still in it and trying to figure it out.
Eye Opening information! I wonder how long it would have taken me to find this out on my own? Certainly more than 16.18 (4 syllables, lol😂) minutes!! Thank you, Ryan!😃
Great tip with the daily price. 👍 Haha I'mma use it for my $2000 course. "Fba millionaire even though I ain't never sold anything on Amazon I just made some lucky investments and now I'm blowing all my profits from these investments on adsense to rob you all blind" course. Do you think it would sell well?
There is a huge problem in my case. On redbubble when i set prices like 19.99, 24.99, 29.99 i don't know why but redbubble screws them next day so day after when i see my prices it's like 19.82 or 20.13 wtf????
Tbh i might me a strange consumer, bc 2$ looks cheaper to me than 1.99$. I always had this with any price really, somehow those .99 make me feel like i'm paying more 😂 the other tips are really interesting though, didnt know about any of those!

Ryan, if possible, could you please create a video on 'Words That Sell'? Cause that would be equally as fascinating!
That is some seriously high level marketing tactics right there.
another excellent post. Always iterating for optimization.

Like these marketing strategies. The ones we can control on market places like Etsy etc.
