This particular song is one of the most underappreciated songs I know. Could even be Number One on the Underappreciated List. That it came out of some silly TV show, which by the way I watched in real-time, makes it all the more jaw-dropping. I love the INXS studio version, but this Navarro-fueled live version (the whole band is freakin' incredible) is just about as good as it gets. Period.

I agree, I remember watching this with my big brother(rip) and it was really fun. Yeah, a lot of that show was kinda lame but there was a ton of talent on the show and a lot of great performances!! Watching this takes me back to that time.

While Mr. Hutchence will obviously always be the voice on INXS, this song comes so close to being a perfect INXS song. There’s no denying how great it is.

I still come back to this on youtube it was such a good show.

JD was cocky but he deserved it. This show was so awesome because the talent was huge and the competition was healthy. They would give one another advice and tips on how to do better and they all supported each other. Marty was so good he ended up opening for INXS on their world tour!

Inxs grew up together, worked all hours...
Jd stepped in, then got stepped out...
Shame...he has a good voice, but i still think Rockstar would have done well with Jordis as a frontwoman...

***** Agree so much. JD HAS the voice. No disputing that. He was likely on drugs but hey Hutchence was too. He was suddenly put into place as the hot lead singer filling the shoes of the original dead hot lead singer of a huge & well respected band. Personally I think these guys used JD. He has all the talent - they resented his hotness and I am sure his youngness played a factor in how they all 15 years his senior treated him. He probably did drugs to cope. Hope he is clean and I wish the super talented JD all the best. Don't waste it dude!!!

Sandra Montisci JD was a rat on the show, he was cocky, and desperate to become a famous, yet he was nothing near Michael Hutchence in terms of talent, he was a temporary fill in and got what was coming to him in the end imho

Unfortunately, Tommy Lee's project of Supernova was just a flavor of the month type of deal that it never picked up, though I feel the winner that season should have been Ryan Star instead of Lucas Rossi.
