Hey Abby, I think it would be a great idea to discuss the recent “girl dinner” TikTok trend. Maybe review some meals and discuss some of the nutrition issues with this trend
i liked girl dinner when it started (silly low effort meals like bread and cheese) but as it got popular it got worse (lots of disordered eating)
I’ve actually played on the girl dinner theme and made a hearty, balanced salad. It doesn’t have to be an example of disordered eating
"NOPE, NOPE!" Thanks for taking one for the team with that "Coke" 😂😂
You’re welcome😮💨
I'm convinced the "healthy coke" was a huge prank or inside joke 😂
In defence of the watertokers, it seems a lot of them are in recovery and maintenance after bariatric surgery, so they a) need to drink A LOT of water b) despite not necessarily wanting to drink a lot of water, so c) need to increase the palatability of their drinks. And then the drinks have to be clear liquid, on top of it all - so no sugar, no proteins, no fruit pulp.
I see how they end up getting experimental with calorie free water flavourings.
The egg thing looked absolutely delicious. With regard to that cookie dough mixture, I kept wondering if it could be baked into cookies. That sounds more appealing to me. The yoghurt/strawberry/chocolate frozen bites sound really nice.
Ya I’d have to try baking them!!
Cottage cheese would melt into a puddle... You might get a nice cottage cheese bake out of it though, Slavic cousine has a cottage cheese bake which is cottage cheese, eggs and a bit of flour.
I love pesto eggs! I starts making it when I had Covid and couldn’t taste most food - I could still taste the pesto a bit, so that’s how I ate eggs basically everyday lol.
When I got my taste completely back, I realized how delicious the pesto eggs are! It’s just important to use a good pesto, then you have the most delicious eggs.
Bougie eggs are one of my favorite things. And I had to give up on watertok. I was drinking tons of water, but I didn't like the way it made me feel. I decided to stay hydrated by eating more fruit and vegetables, and adding dehydrated fruit to regular water to give it some razzle dazzle.
One of my favorite "viral" recipes is the greek yogurt brownie recipe from the Big Man's World blog. I use plain Greek yogurt, cut the sugar, and add bittersweet and dark chocolate. It feels like I've found a cheat code for life.
The cottage cheese cookie dough was SO FOUL. No one is talking about this. FOUL.
I tried making the yogurt bites, but they were to hard/frozen (for my teeth) and the flavour was almost gone. I could just taste the chocolate 😅. I prefer yogurt bowls for sure 😋
Same. I will not be making them again, ha!
I find this problem with basically any yogurt bark recipe, there is nooooo flavor lol
@@yallthought8444 same 😒
If you toast some
Sourdough bread then spread pesto and then top it with eggs it's delish as well.
Yessss
Coca cola's pH is somewhere between 2.6 and 2.7, while undiluted balsamic vinegars vary 2.5-4.5. This information is not meant to encourage the consumption of either.
I LOVE and ADORE that you always keep it real with rating these recipes. I trust you more than any other content creator when it comes to food ideas ❤😋
Abbey you are amazing! You’ve helped me so much in my journey to reach a healthy relationship with food! I’m starting a degree in nutrition this week ‘cause I want ti change lives like you!
Good luck!!
Ohh that is inspiring😊 good luck!
New as a subscriber- Love your channel spent my wkend binge watching 📺
Love these video and your honest opinion. Maybe you could make some recipes from the cookbooks Greg Doucette and rank these?
This was such a fun video! I loved it!
Clicked on this video for the title and because I love your editor 😂 and I like your vibe and how you adjust the recipes I want to see more.
I lol'ed around the 3 minute mark, where you said "How could that be bad" about the peanut butter. My first reflex was (as always) 'Well, it would kill me, so kinda bad?'.
(Just my way of dealing with my allergies, if I don't joke about it once in a while I get too down about it lol. I love watching your video's and advice anyway!)
😂 I love how some of the bleeps are timed wrong to cover the swear words.
"it's been a day" 🤣 and that coke thing..
thank you for your honest opinion 😊
WaterTok is so fascinating. I heard a lot of them use the flavorants as a workaround for gastric bypass issues.
The strawberry blobs have a lot of potential combos. Maybe they'd work with cottage cheese.
Interesting thanks for sharing
My current blended cottage cheese concoction is ripe mangos + cottage cheese with chai seeds and honey on top. To me it is the perfect balance of sweet and savory with a cheesecake-y flavor- so good!
Get it Abbey! I loved the last upgrade! 😂
Watertok is dominated by a lot of people with baltriatric surgerys who can't drink fizzy drinks and caffeine and have problems to drink plain water
I'm not a watertoker but i do feel like you didn't give them a fair shot by just throwing together something you made up rather than following the recipe like you did with the others
You know what I really loved seeing was you eating ice cream for breakfast in the past and making it a HCC.Classic.I really want to try this someday.
Ya know what? Abby Sharp is so fun
Why thank you

Hi Abbey, I found your channel 2 weeks ago & have been watching your content avidly. Thanks for being you! ❤
welcome to the AK fam!
I love everything you do Abbey, you’re so funny!
Also love the variety of ducks in the editing 😂
That vinegar drink looks and sounds disgusting. Also, those water packets totally wreck my gut too. I also can only handle monk fruit and stevia
to sweeten/flavor my bubble water I use an popsicle or jam, or a splash of juice.
Hey Abbey! I just watched the documentary "Poisoned" on Netflix and wondered if you could do a video on your thoughts about it? It kinda permanently turned me off of chicken and romaine lettuce 🤢would just love to get your take on it since I really trust your opinion and feel like this might be a pretty popular topic
Pesto egg sounds delicious! I need to try that
breaking out the vodka early.... sounds like a good day off lol, that egg recipe looked great (like a modified eggs benny)
The cottage cheese cookie dough is sooooo much better after it’s sat in the fridge overnight
The frozen yogurt bites had much potential but when I made them, they were sooooo hard, you can't bite them. 😢
OG Subbed 😂 I love your sense of humor, not many people left with that today, I'm old but I just don't understand why when people start aging they get so cranky bitter and just plain rude I've been running into a lot of that lately soo???
Elle ❤ on husband's account 40 yr marriage ❤
Thank you for sharing ❤
Many Blessings To You And Your Family Stay Safe And Well ❤
Meee too I love cottage cheese yum
My poor teeth experience so much acid attacks, I love everything acidic, I eat limes on their own essentially 😁 just hits the spot
*I have been trying to consume xylitol pastiles after eating/drinking to make acid attacks bit better 😅 and yes my teeth aren't in mint condition
I love your videos, your hunger crushing combo’s, and all your comments!!!!!
Thanks Sonja!!🥰
I’m curious about the nutritional rating of the cookie dough had you not removed the mouse poop from the food processor 😜
Ew
Just another example of the water...I use sugarfree lemonade & a squirt of sugarfree grape Kool-Aid to make an at home version of my favorite frozen grape lemonade drink.
Thank you for using that vodka and showing me I shouldn't have FOMO about being alcohol free❤
of course!!
I’m a proud Doggy Mom but I was right there with you claiming what I call my one and ONLY Almond Mom Moment - I need the crunch where are my almonds at?!
🐶🍓🍫
Oooh I can’t do without crunch
I fell in love with cottage cheese 🫕 when I moved to America. I’m adding almonds to the cookie 🍪 dough too! 10:24
I think the watertok one wasn't fair. You made a weird combination. If you did the recipe the person in the video did, I think it would probably taste pretty good, at least not totally nasty. Bluebery and toffee is a gross combination.
Same! I'm deep in the watertok world (haven't had a soda in months!) But that flavor combo sounded atrocious 🤢
Idk what your talking about, almost every “water recipe” I’ve seen was weirder than that, like salted caramel and Blue Curacao.
@@taylorgayhart9497 The one in the video she showed didn’t look too bad.
I don’t know I feel like it could give blueberry pie vibes. Theoretically, it’s just blueberries, sugar, and toastiness, right?
You said blueberry but it was blue raspberry. Blue raspberry would definitely be worse
4:00 to 4:04 is so The Office coded 😂
You need to do more videos like this 😂
Dollop is the word you were looking for instead of blob. Lol
I felt the same way about the cookie dough not being solid enough but I ended up eating it as a dip/spread on graham crackers and apples and liked it much better! 👍
Try not adding as much maple syrup and or cottage cheese
😂😂😂😂 thank you for this video
I’m glad you did this so I don’t have to. 😂
O goodness , our local ice cream shop used to make an ice cream bar with salted peanut in the chocolate covering, for some reason that made my taste buds scream. I may add those and see what it’s like?
Do you have any ideas for making tuna salad more enjoyable?
OMG the popsickle stick is such a great idea. I tried the recipe and failed because of the stupid chocolate dip xD
Hm, I sometimes drink water with vinegar (not because of some cleanse, but because any sirup I leave without a fridge in my mom's house turns rancid before my next visit, and I do not like to drink just water all the time, so I am just putting a little bit of vinegar into it. Vinegar lasts for ages even without a fridge.), but it never occurred to me to try balsamic vinegar... that is a good idea. I'll try that sometimes. I also wanted to try shrubs, which are types of lemonade made from vinegar, fresh fruit and sugar, but these also need a fridge.
Wait, the "watertok" person knew the term mocktail and still called their mocktail "water"? I always assumed they just didn't know what a mocktail was......
Lol yeah that’s weird
I'm surprised You didn't make that cheeseburger tortilla thing! Such a miss - it's a very very nice recipe tiktok gave us!
I really liked the ebook, can someone please recommend me more ebooks like this that are free😅
"This is a generous 0/10" was literally the nicest thing you could say about that one 😂 yuck!
Omg, having Abbie find mouse poop in her processor made my day
The intermittent fasting crowd is drinking MINERAL WATER now, bubbly without the damage, not as bubbly as soda pop
I can't with the coke receipt and anything that has cottage cheese in it haha.
It doesn’t add anything nutrition-wise, but I think I’d add a bit of vanilla extract to the cookie dough. I do think you need something with a little bit more fat than cottage cheese though 😅
That Coke though. My mum always said to never drink weird, brown liquid
I love how the beep comes after the cuss word
PLEASE try out protein icecream
I believe the inspo for watertok was catered toward people who had bariatric surgery and needed to get their water in.
The ducks! 🤣🤣🤣🦆🦆🦆
I tried one of those packet water flavouring... holy sweet tea batman.
What would be a good alternative for the avocado on the toast? I can't eat it but I would like similiar nutritional values....
Cottage cheese. Actual cheese. Ricotta cheese. Mascarpone cheese. (For use with eggs anyway). A low salt cream cheese maybe. + sprinkle of hemp seeds.
You could also have a smashed baked small sweet potato on the side.
Nut butter if you're not going savory.
I’m desperate to try the pesto eggs now 😮
I must be in the minority but I love a good shrub (which is what the vinegar-soda combo is inspired by). Especially a good quality balsamic. I also like balsamic on vanilla ice cream with strawberries.
I've recently bought a bottle of VERY tasty balsamic vinegar, like, I could drink it straight out of the bottle tasty. But I completely forgot about this faux coke recipe. Now I feel I need to try it. I have a hunch I might like it and be in a minority with You!
@@natalie5334I bet I would like it too. Definitely gonna give it a try.
I’m a health teacher, and certified herbalist, recent info from a doctor, is if u drink electrolyte drinks(you can make your own)which contain things like potassium, salts, magnesium, etc which is really what we’re replacing when we’re told to drink water, that you don’t need to drink as much as u would if it were plain water. I don’t have the exact amounts you need to drink,I’ll see if I can find out and post here. What do u think Abbey? Thank you for supplying excellent nutrition info 💕🦋
@@vintagebodymindsoulradley9151 You might want to check out Derek's (more plates more dates) most recent video - couple of days ago he posted almost a 3 hour video on sports drinks and hydration. There is useful insight about hydration and electrolyte consumption. My personal takeaway is that if I'm well fed (meaning in this regard that my food has sensible electrolyte levels and not just sodium, but potassium very importanly) then I'm fine with the standart 2 L of total fluid and that's it. Not the crazy amount of plain water like some people like to drink as it may be dangerous because it dilutes body's electrolytes and therefore makes you dizzy, weak etc. On the other hand, too much electrolytes in the diet and water drives you to the dehydrated state where water is drawn from the cells to dilute the hypertonic liquid the body consumes. Basically a paradoxical state where one would consume a lot of water but be severely dehydrated. This is the reason why I think that the "regular folk" and not some high level athletes who sweat a lot and in prolonged periods don't really need these sports drinks. Unless we don't eat wisely and unless it's a crazy hot weather when we're dripping sweat all day long 😁 But I highly recommend going to Derek's video, nice insight he shares!
My best friend insists the balsamic soda thing is delicious. But she uses some high quality infused balsamics that a local guy makes. I’m still not bold enough to try it 😅
Just added pesto eggs to my menu for next week. Not adding the drinks. Huge nope for me.
i just want abbey to make me all these delicious recipies except that coke frfr
I love a Coke and for the amount of them I actually consume in a year, I am going to enjoy my coke - life is short 🥂
Where do u guys who are from Canada find pure good cottage cheese without gums and fillers ??
I’ve never had cottage cheese and want to try it but only ever knew it as a diet food and am worried it’ll trigger my ED further. But also maybe it’ll be something I’ll actually let myself eat soooo
Lol healthy coke reminds me of how we make ghetto gingerale at bars.
I love aged balsamic vinegar
I just don’t get the “healthy coke” 😵💫 Like, just drink the La Croix, and add the balsamic to a tasty avocado salad 🥗 🥑
I very much prefer balsamic in a salad
Or just have a diet coke......it's not unhealthy and actually tastes like something you'd want to put in your mouth.
Aspartame is not unhealthy? Thanks for the enlightenment.@@taylorhillard4868
The strawberry tiktok says dairy free but then probably just used regular yoghurt 😂
What about fruity balsamic vinegars?
Abbey, you are so extra! 🤣
I refuse to drink anything which is the same color as glass cleaner. :)
i have literally replaced almost all my water with diet coke 🤭
Not watching any more of her videos until she stops making the weird quack quack noises 😂
WaterTok is wild!
I know!!
The nemesis of r/HydroHomies for a reason
@@AbbeysKitchenI think a whole video on watertok would be great
Pest eggs- 8:48
I just drink the La Croix Ni Cola flavor. No need for fake Coke.
Editing of this video is top notch! I love the ducks 🦆
Bubbling water is Not flavored sparkling water
Not famous but please review influencer paige shay
Those drinks looked awful.
Everything is better with chocolate.
The healthy coke is neither healthy or coke. Like why would you switch something that’s awful for your teeth but delicious to something that’s also awful for your teach but tastes disgusting? Just do diet coke 😅
If you’re going to review recipes, why not review the actual recipe instead of changing everything?
Only 6 mins in, and so many distracting video/radio "memes" I don't know what to call them, throw-backs?, that when the 1st commercial / ad came, I thought it was another thing you included. I feel it's more distraction than you talking.
Pretty sure I’m allergic raw flour sadly
How can you trust someone who can’t pronounce La Croix with making Coke out of vinegar and sparkling water? I’m not a Coke drinker and last time I checked , Pepsi was the only attempt at “improving “ the OG?
What the fuck is watertok?
