Mary Vasaikar it’s not that Memphis is so beautiful. It’s the feeling and character that city has. I have lived in Nashville, Atlanta, and Dallas. Now I choose to live in downtown Memphis! Love it!
Just returned from your home city and loved every minute, this video highlights all the places that we saw. Perfect choice of song for this video, it identifies so well with everything that we saw. I remain humbled by the privilege of visiting the small one room Sun Studio.
😭😭should have been Walking in Memphis 14th August.. SOD this Virus feels like everyone woke up in alternative Universe ..oh well Next Year hopefully fingers X ❤🌷🗽
No, that is an operating Bass Pro Shop, the largest in the country, I think. I don't know how it can be profitable, but it opened in 2015. I think it includes a hotel, and restaurants and other features. Here is a link with a description and pictures. www.businessinsider.com/memphis-bass-pro-shops-pyramid-one-of-worlds-largest-2017-11
0:33 I remember when I was younger, pre teen or early teens, this theater was known as the Malco. It had first run movies, but this was still in the era of segregation, and one night as I was leaving the theater I noticed that the black people were leaving the building on the stairway to the right on the side of the building. This is a fire escape for the Balcony. I am not sure how they entered the theater, or where they bought tickets, but even as a young person, I thought it was weird.
K Freeborn Memphis has the luxury of having nearly unlimited space in its environs, so the pattern of growth has been horizontal, rather than vertical (for better or worse). The tallest building is about 430 feet tall.
Not a single shot of the Stax Museum. So fucking typical. Half the people in Memphis no nothing of the legacy and importance of Stax Records. With all due respect to Elvis Presley, he is the only thing that anybody associates Memphis with. Sad.
I'm from Memphis and never really cared for this song until I found out the meaning and inspiration behind it!!! Love the song now!!! 〽️🖤💯

Walking in Memphis is not a good idea.

Memphis that's what I call home
Best. Plase. To. Live
I was just shown this video at a convention to get us excited about next years venue, looks awful... I will not be attending
What exactly looks awful? I grew up there, and like any large city, it has its problems, but the good clearly out weighs the bad.
robert welsh what in the world looks awful? I love Memphis! I wish I lived there.
IAM moving to Memphis tn
