Closely looking at the lyrics.. I think this is a complete summarization of Kokichi's character. At first it was catchy and fun.. But as the song progress.. it still has that catchy beat but the lyrics slowly became depressing showing the teue side of the lying character. Kokichi himself. His real self.. That at least is not a lie.

I found this song before finding out about Danganronpa and thought Kokichi was the main villain of the games (a cool one at that.) That was a wild ride. Imagine my surprise when he wasn't in Trigger Happy Havoc.
Rin Rin BRUH SAME, I remember watching that video and getting into DR, I spent a lot of time thinking he was a main villain, I also got spoiled about who killed him and I remember looking at Kaito and thinking “well he looks like a hero main character so yeah that makes sense” ( I also thought DR was like a post apoc thing and that all the characters existed and interacted in the same space so yeah I was pretty surprised)
kokichi’s character in my opinion is really tragic... just thinking about him just makes me sad. The fact that he probably cared a lot about everyone and even died for them but just got brushed off as a bad person or just a liar. The fandom kinda frustrates me too when they just say he’s baby or say he’s a “gay uwu rat boy”. I feel like this song just brings out his other characteristics as well which is pretty cool 😎

3:46 I haven't seen anyone actually be able to understand kokichi's character like this part of the song. I think it portrays how he was actually holding in all his emotions with a mask of lies. It shows how he reacts when his mask falls, he's unprotected, *vulnerable.* So he panics that's why he "prepares" before this happens, by always over exaggerating any emotion he shows. So that when the mask fell no one would think of it as off and he would just slip it back on and continue. And he had to do it so much, because everyone hated him for lying. When really, what else could he do? He was in a game of betrayal and murder. I see many people who don't bash Tsumugi, when really if she wasn't the mastermind than none of this would had happened, everyone would still be alive. Yet people get mad at the one guy who plays the game right. Still this is such a well written song for him, it's insane. 🖤

It's still amazes me that this is what got me into Danganronpa and still remains one of best songs I've ever listened to. Most of them are. He has some absolutely horrifying character portraits, there's the normal evil ones, like the smile with his hand on his face, then the darker ones with some shade over his eyes, then pitch black upper face... then he has 2 completely black silhouettes where only his eyes and mouth can be seen.He definitely has the creepiest ones in all of Danganronpa.

Shortly after I started listening to Vocaloid, I wrote an essay for school referencing lyrics from this song. The topic was lying, and I chose to write about how I lied about my interest in Vocaloid. At the time I thought it was a niche and embarrassing interest. Since then I have resolved that I was wrong and stopped having to make "falsified true lies". So thank you to this song for getting me a good grade on a school paper.

I haven't seen anyone actually be able to understand kokichi's character like this part of the song. I think it portrays how he was actually holding in all his emotions with a mask of lies. It shows how he reacts when his mask falls, he's unprotected, *vulnerable.* So he panics that's why he "prepares" before this happens, by always over exaggerating any emotion he shows. So that when the mask fell no one would think of it as off and he would just slip it back on and continue. And he had to do it so much, because everyone hated him for lying. When really, what else could he do? He was in a game of betrayal and murder. I see many people who don't bash Tsumugi, when really if she wasn't the mastermind than none of this would had happened, everyone would still be alive. Yet people get mad at the one guy who plays the game right. Still this is such a well written song for him, it's insane. 🖤
