With the seedlings need roots coming out of the bottom before you move them over so hand water them in the tray and bottom water them till the roots come out
Hey. So here is the deal, I bought some stuff, to try to make my own version of the "Tower Garden" (gosh it's more than $600 to buy one), and because of your video, I am going to film it and whatever the result, I going to post it. So if it works nicely and you think is affordable, would you try to repeat? So as soon as I have the building part of it I share it here for you. deal? And when I start to try to grow it I share that part too. I'm a Brazilian living in Canada and my English is not so good. That been said, please let me know about my English mistakes so I can improve, and if anything is hard to understand just comment asking about it.
Did you add liquid nutrients to the water? /// The successful growers on UA-cam take the grow cubes off the roots of the seedlings or rinse the soil off the roots of the seedlings and make circles of soft foam that will fit in the net cup, then they cut into the circle of foam from the edge to the center and place the stems through center of the foam circle and the roots of the seedlings under the foam into the bottom of the basket. No lava or clay rocks needed. Change the water and nutrients regularly. When you change the water/nutrient solution put the used solution on the plants outside in your flower beds or vegetable garden. Then mix up a fresh batch of water and nutrient solution for your bucket. Follow the directions on the nutrient bottles. Good Luck !!!
it's been a while, but I'm pretty sure I added nutrients -- probably general hydroponics maxigro or the green solution in the flora gro series. I've been looking into foam circles -- saw a cool video where they used pool noodles :) thank you for the advice! I'll keep it in mind for the next go
@@radnatalie I have successfully used 3 nutrient formulas mixed together. They are made by the General Hydroponics Company, They are called 1. FloraGro, 2. FloraBloom and 3. FloraMicro. Of course these nutrients are mixed with water. Just follow the instructions on the bottles. I bought mine at a hydroponics store, but I am sure you can purchase them on Amazon. Best of Luck !!!
@@radnatalie One out of twelve is better than none out of 12 :) I would say the lettuce that survived had its roots in range of the fogger which tend to spit water upwards as well as create fog. Fog on its own isnt really enough to sustain growth especially outdoors in the sun. I`d suggest just using an air pump and air stones next time around, the air bubbles bursting at the surface will keep the roots nicely moist and give you a good chance of getting 12 out of 12..
