DGA Contract Negotiations

✨The DGA has officially been in negotiations with AMPTP for 8 days. Both parties have agreed to refrain from talking to the media during this period of time. The contract expires on June 30th so don’t expect to hear much until that time or before if an agreement is reached.
✨Fun Fact: The guild has not been on strike in over 30 years (1987). The strike lasted for 3 hours and 15mins on the east coast and 15mins on the west coast. This history could be telling of their collaboration efforts with studios.
✨The DGA priorities include: increase wages, better safety, directorial team protection, increase EDI measures and improved residual formula on streaming platforms as it pertains to international growth.
