Totally agree with Roy. He calls a spade a spade and he is spot on where it concerns Pogba. Pogba hasn't provided United with value for money, nowhere near it. For the money that was paid for him and the wages he receives you'd expect the type of consistency and influence that Roy himself gave to United, Gerard gave to Liverpool, Lampard gave to Chelsea and De Bruyne gives City.
Pogba's acolytes just can't admit that. He hasn't been good enough at United. He is undoubtedly a top class footballer but United have done everything to accommodate him. They even sacked a coach for him. Keane spoke very well on this. Even if Pogba didn't like his manager, it didn't mean that he had to down tools.

True. It's a sad fact but true. The old school angry hair dryer managers aren't as successful these days. Perhaps why we're not seeing as many top scottish managers now at elite level. He doesn't reckon he's at that level. Lots of players win trophies, doesn't mean that they are individually "world class".

@Wdz One that's not what they expect. We all expect someone who gets as much praise as Pogba to PLAY WELL consistently. Potential doesn't equal performance. For how long will Pogba be called world class before we get to see it on a regular basis? Don't even talk Messi and Ronaldo, they've been consistent. How many semis and finals has Messi got Argentina to? How many semis and finals has CR7 got Portugal to? They can take them to the water but can't force their teams to drink. Roy's right about one thing. United aren't a team in transition FFS. They have a settled squad. There are players who haven't performed when needed. Away form isn't one of a team in bloody transition. If home form had been as good, they'd be matching City pound for pound. The fact that they have performed as well away as they have, in a season devoid of fans, shows what they should have been able to do at home as it's the same for everyone.

He dominated against Spurs, he scored winners this season against AC Milan, Burnley, West Ham, Fulham where at that stage we were competing for the top of the table but when he got injured we see the affect that the team has without him. People judge him differently because of his name and they want him to do everything when the standards are not the same with other world class players
