Yeah I to don’t believe the saddleB and Selle 2 are very realistic coats and I don’t recall sso releasing normal coats as unrealistic besides the JWB being a special wild horse on Jorvik. I feel that they to are a magic zombie and magic Skel with how the markings are. I also don’t care much for em sense they are on a breed I don’t care for
My guesses for the coat colors: Arabian: Flea-bitten grey with blood marks (bay base coat) Saddlebred: Amber/classic champagne chimera/somiatic gene mutation (bay/black with champange) Selle Francais 1: Black/dark bay fewspot appaloosa with reverse stockings Selle Francais 2: Brindle dapple gray (the white could be multiple things. I think it's a W (white) gene that looks like sabino. There might also be appaloosa in there, hence the spotty look. The spotty look might also be a somiatic gene mutation of some sort. idk, I'm no expert, just interested in horse genetics.) EDIT: To address the replies, I didn't notice that these were meant to be halloweeny horses lol. I thought they were just really weird coats. I think these are regular horses (not magic ones,) being released for halloween and having halloween themed coats. My take on the halloween theme behind each horse is: Arabian: Wounded/zombie (bc of the tear-like sharp edges of the blood marks on the face) Saddlebred: Patches/zombie/rotten pumpkin (The color combo looks kinda zombie/rotten to me.) Selle Francais 1: Sheet ghost (bc of the brown on the legs, eyes, ears, and muzzle. So cute!!!) Selle Francais 2: Skeleton/monster (looking at the face, those vertical grey marks within the blaze look like teeth. The white also extends along the underside of the jawline and looks like a horse jawbone.) More detail about all the horse coats: Saddlebred: You can tell this horse is two variations of champagne by the muzzle. The skin is pinkish-grey, which I've only seen in pearl and champagne horses. Classic champagne is a black base with champagne. Classic looks kinda like liver chestnut, but is lighter. Amber champagne is bay with champagne. It looks like a golden palomino but has a dark brown mane. There is champagne on chestnut (golden champagne,) but that looks like palomino with a gold or white mane and tail and the pink-grey muzzle. This Saddlebred obviously doesn't have white in the mane or tail, so that leaves amber/classic champagne. I think the somiatic gene mutation is that this horse was going to have a bay base, but the mutation kept the aguoti gene from expressing in certain areas, leaving a black base. Arabian: I don't have anything else to say about this horse lol. Selle Francais 1: After looking more closely, I am convinced that the base color is black. Thank you to the reply that said that Selle Francais horses can be appaloosa, that's really interesting! I googled to see if adult fewspots have this degree of white and I saw a few that looked like this horse. Try looking up Korizma Mega Star or Butterwhap Confetti if you want an example. Selle Francais 2: I don't really have anything else to say about this horse either. If you would like to know more about brindle, I suggest the "brindle" wikipedia page lol. I freaking love those freaky coats! I love them all from the bottom of my heart! Finally something different. Something non normie, non stereotypical "pretty". BUT so we get 2 magical mustangs and 4 new horses at the same time. Wow, it´s really a buying simulator by now. I thought those might be more between Hallowen and Christmas and not directly at Halloween.

i was like oh no, but it’s growing on me already. i don’t think the saddle bred and the brindle ish selle is finished yet, they need more detail and shading to be a gen 3 release so i’m sure they will work on them more, but the saddlebred reminds me of chocolate and caramel, like a caramello. so now i need to buy it
was thinking the same thing. that side with the green eye, just that colour by itself could have looked SO good imo, really feels like they just ruined it with that weird ugly yellow, and with such a weird unusual pattern too..

I actually really love the gold and purple carousel set. The only other set like it (sort of) is Ydris set and it's not full Stat (I also prefer this new outfit). I like the Evil Queen top, but most of the other clothes/sets feel uninspired like you said.
Oh, p.s I would also love to see some Halloween classic monster stuff. Werewolf, frankenstein, mummy inspired costumes and tack would be so awesome! I love that Jorvik does its own thing, but there's only so many ways to halloweenify dressage clothes. Can't we get Jorviks versions of classic monsters?

That's actually what the marking type is called: Bloody Shoulder. I highly recommend looking up the Bedouin lore story behind the marking, it's really interesting. :)

these coats aren’t my favorites but I like to see SSO doing something different and out of the normal range for coats, it’s interesting and fun. ❤ also I believe the Arabian has what is called blood marks!

No way, i was just saying how i never see bloody shoulder arabians in any horse games and now the coat is coming to SSO, im excited. It was a surprise since SSO usually dont make that rare of the coats for their horses but it feels like a breath of fresh air, so far i love them all. Also the secon selle francais reminds me so much of the brindle thoroughbred from RDR2, definetly gonna get him and the arabian
These coats don’t really look like typical horse coats so it got me thinking that either they’re magical coats’ non-magic variants or they could be like employees pets made into horse coats, since they look like they would fit much better on a dog or a cat rather than on a horse
They aren't 'typical' but they are true variants. Arabian can have what is referred to as 'bloody shoulder' or 'blood marks'. Horses can be chimeras or have somatic mutations which make them highly unusual colour-wise.
Some of ppl haven't heard of mutated coat colors ig. i still don't remember exactly what people call that coat like on saddlebread one, but i personally love it. in general, the idea with chimeras coat colors is quite interesting :> it's pretty good in the sense that this isn't just another set of standard colors that have been seen on most horses dozens of times already.

No, I'm pretty sure these are just normal coats that represent rare genetic mutations. The magical Halloween horses will be on the mustang model this year and I can't wait to see them!
I love every single coat and how they all give a spooky/Halloween vibe. Frankenstein monster, a ghost under a sheet, Monster Teeth and blood splatters. Also I love the chimera saddlebred when i was little i saw a horse like it. Ima have to save up for it i neeeeed to have them in my stable.
Be grateful we aren’t getting the same boring repeat coats over and over again, these are actually unique and decent for once. People complain no matter what they do lmfao

The Arabian looks like a Burnt marshmallow the American saddle bred looks like chocolate and peanut butter the first Selle Francais looks like a cow and the other selle francais looks like a skeleton tree! But I mean all of them are pretty but the saddle bred didn’t make me want to buy it for some reason
The new coat colours, even though not my cup of tea, they look interesting and impressive. That American Saddlebred is really like vanilla chocolate desert haha. The temporarily textures around 04:04 look so nice! I might even have bought that if that was an actual outfit in the game. Ohh the evil queen set! I love it!! 😍 Black and red and a hint of white is such an awesome combination 😍 Haha I like that new squash. Patches and stitches? Defenitely based on Erissa. The jackets look cool. All the other sets are nice too, princess caroussel is not really my thing though.
Not a fan of the coats but i like to think they might be experimenting with patterns for next year's horses. We'll see. The autumn sets are lovely! Also, manifesting a way for them to tweak our character body to be able to wear high waisted pants 🤞🏻🤞🏻 (pls i need it)
I don’t know what’s wrong with most of SSO’s fan base. Truly one of the most harsh, ungrateful and critical fan bases I’ve Ever seen. I was blown away by the coats (the chimera wasn’t my cup of tea but at least it’s unique and not the same ol stuff.) I loved them. At least star stable puts out different things and updates like they do. They try so hard to make it fun and interesting and here are all these negative and snide comments about how it could be better. You don’t like it? How about you apply for a job and do better. I think it’s awesome and I’m even more excited for Halloween than I was. Also, that fewspot selle is coming to my stable. Lol
The saddlebred looks SOOOO unique, I think it's a smoky cream (Black base) with a cremello (chestnut base) so genetically it's actually accurate. That's pretty cool even if the execution is VERY out of left field.
Guys these coats are unbelievable. Arabian: gorgeous grey coat with what looks to be blood or burn marks. Saddle bread: pretty but not my fav. Kinda giving pumpkin patch or scarecrow. Selle 1: close to the Appaloosa. Pretty but still pleasing to the eye. Selle 2: absolutely stunning. Jack-o’-lantern face which is adorable and beautiful coat colors!
I mean they look good and all but why is it so damn expensive? If SSO wants to put the prices higher, at least get rid of the max amount of JS you can carry which is only 10.000JS...
The JS cap is likely in place to encourage players to purchase Star Coins. If they raise the cap they will undoubtedly also raise the prices on everything. And we don't want that.
There are ways around it though. Keep your winnings from champs in the mailbox instead of collecting them. Collect light and save it in your inventory to sell as needed. It's possible to earn almost 10k JS in a week just by doing all of the stable chores every day (which only takes me about 15 minutes). I know these don't solve the issue but I hope they help!
Uhh not my cup of teafor the horse coats, sorry. The Pintabian, okay. The Bloody shoulder without the head marking - would work for me. But peraonally the rest is way too wild for me. Tbh, I get nauseous (literally, not even as a joke) when looking at some of them 🥺 I'm usually not the kind of person to complain, but I really hope those were just experiments for somatic mutations and nothing else 😅 You are welcome to love them, but I will probably turn around, if I see one of these in the game to avoid getting nauseous 😵💫

If anyone is curious, these are all real coat colors/patterns that can exist IRL, just very rare ones. In order of appearance you have: - Fleabitten Grey /w Bloodmarks aka Bloody Shoulder - Chimerism (expression of two genotypes, looks to by some form of champagne + smoky black) - Fewspot Appaloosa - Dapple Grey + Brindle (stripes) + Sabino (white markings) Not sure if this is how brindle would be expressed IRL over grey... but it sure looks cool!
What the heck is with the brindle dappled bay? This game is getting very carried away with its markings. Having a Red Roan Paint TWH was pushing the limits enough, but I let it slide. But that coat is just too much. It's like everyone in the office started throwing darts at the wall, mixed it all on one horse, and created whatever they landed on.

Ok, i like the coat colors for the Selle's and Arab, however what's throwing me off is the chimera pattern for the grey Selle andthe pattern for the Saddlebred. Again, the COLORS are good, i just think the patterns look too busy to my eyes and that's what's throwing me off

Personally I LOVE that Saddlebred coat for its Unique look plus that brown and golden color combination looks nice to me and While I do love the Arabian coat, I own too many of that breed. The first coat for the Selle though is really gorgeous too!

Chimera coats are fairly unique and do often look like the animals should have been stitched together

That's actually what the marking type is called: Bloody Shoulder. I highly recommend looking up the Bedouin lore story behind the marking, it's really interesting. :)

these coats aren’t my favorites but I like to see SSO doing something different and out of the normal range for coats, it’s interesting and fun. ❤ also I believe the Arabian has what is called blood marks!

No way, i was just saying how i never see bloody shoulder arabians in any horse games and now the coat is coming to SSO, im excited. It was a surprise since SSO usually dont make that rare of the coats for their horses but it feels like a breath of fresh air, so far i love them all. Also the secon selle francais reminds me so much of the brindle thoroughbred from RDR2, definetly gonna get him and the arabian
These coats don’t really look like typical horse coats so it got me thinking that either they’re magical coats’ non-magic variants or they could be like employees pets made into horse coats, since they look like they would fit much better on a dog or a cat rather than on a horse
They aren't 'typical' but they are true variants. Arabian can have what is referred to as 'bloody shoulder' or 'blood marks'. Horses can be chimeras or have somatic mutations which make them highly unusual colour-wise.

i still don't remember exactly what people call that coat like on saddlebread one, but i personally love it.
in general, the idea with chimeras coat colors is quite interesting :> it's pretty good in the sense that this isn't just another set of standard colors that have been seen on most horses dozens of times already.
i’m surprised everyone is hating on that one. it’s my favorite bc it still has a “halloweeny” coat without being magic and i like that. i plan on naming it candy corn (if that’s an option i don’t remember lol)

I find it a pretty good idea to try out these colors for the game, not just as another magical one (although I personally like magical horses lol)

No, I'm pretty sure these are just normal coats that represent rare genetic mutations. The magical Halloween horses will be on the mustang model this year and I can't wait to see them!

I love every single coat and how they all give a spooky/Halloween vibe. Frankenstein monster, a ghost under a sheet, Monster Teeth and blood splatters. Also I love the chimera saddlebred when i was little i saw a horse like it. Ima have to save up for it i neeeeed to have them in my stable.

The Arabian looks like a Burnt marshmallow the American saddle bred looks like chocolate and peanut butter the first Selle Francais looks like a cow and the other selle francais looks like a skeleton tree! But I mean all of them are pretty but the saddle bred didn’t make me want to buy it for some reason
The new coat colours, even though not my cup of tea, they look interesting and impressive. That American Saddlebred is really like vanilla chocolate desert haha. The temporarily textures around 04:04 look so nice! I might even have bought that if that was an actual outfit in the game. Ohh the evil queen set! I love it!! 😍 Black and red and a hint of white is such an awesome combination 😍 Haha I like that new squash. Patches and stitches? Defenitely based on Erissa. The jackets look cool. All the other sets are nice too, princess caroussel is not really my thing though.
Not a fan of the coats but i like to think they might be experimenting with patterns for next year's horses. We'll see.

I don’t know what’s wrong with most of SSO’s fan base. Truly one of the most harsh, ungrateful and critical fan bases I’ve Ever seen. I was blown away by the coats (the chimera wasn’t my cup of tea but at least it’s unique and not the same ol stuff.) I loved them. At least star stable puts out different things and updates like they do. They try so hard to make it fun and interesting and here are all these negative and snide comments about how it could be better. You don’t like it? How about you apply for a job and do better. I think it’s awesome and I’m even more excited for Halloween than I was. Also, that fewspot selle is coming to my stable. Lol

The saddlebred looks SOOOO unique, I think it's a smoky cream (Black base) with a cremello (chestnut base) so genetically it's actually accurate. That's pretty cool even if the execution is VERY out of left field.
Guys these coats are unbelievable.
Arabian: gorgeous grey coat with what looks to be blood or burn marks.
Saddle bread: pretty but not my fav. Kinda giving pumpkin patch or scarecrow.
Selle 1: close to the Appaloosa. Pretty but still pleasing to the eye.
Selle 2: absolutely stunning. Jack-o’-lantern face which is adorable and beautiful coat colors!

I mean they look good and all but why is it so damn expensive? If SSO wants to put the prices higher, at least get rid of the max amount of JS you can carry which is only 10.000JS...
The JS cap is likely in place to encourage players to purchase Star Coins. If they raise the cap they will undoubtedly also raise the prices on everything. And we don't want that.
There are ways around it though. Keep your winnings from champs in the mailbox instead of collecting them. Collect light and save it in your inventory to sell as needed. It's possible to earn almost 10k JS in a week just by doing all of the stable chores every day (which only takes me about 15 minutes). I know these don't solve the issue but I hope they help!

If anyone is curious, these are all real coat colors/patterns that can exist IRL, just very rare ones. In order of appearance you have:
- Fleabitten Grey /w Bloodmarks aka Bloody Shoulder
- Chimerism (expression of two genotypes, looks to by some form of champagne + smoky black)
- Fewspot Appaloosa
- Dapple Grey + Brindle (stripes) + Sabino (white markings)
Not sure if this is how brindle would be expressed IRL over grey... but it sure looks cool!

What the heck is with the brindle dappled bay? This game is getting very carried away with its markings. Having a Red Roan Paint TWH was pushing the limits enough, but I let it slide. But that coat is just too much. It's like everyone in the office started throwing darts at the wall, mixed it all on one horse, and created whatever they landed on.

I don't understand the hate. When SSO do "basic" horse coat they got hate because it's not unique, when they do rare horse coat they got hate too (but for what ? they are amaizing ???). Arabian: Chestnut/fleabitten chimera
Saddlebred: Some sorta chimera or a special type of tricolor pinto
Sele 1: Beauty mark black pinto
Sele 2: dapple grey rabicano or maybe some sorts dapple grey rabicano chimera
I mean no hate whatsoever but, I wish SSO was more than just a buying simulator now. Don’t get me wrong, the horses and gear are beautiful and I will absolutely try to get the things I want in this game (which I’ll be honest, is quite a lot, I’m only slightly joking when I say I might go into debt playing this lol), but I do wish that there was a little more…heart put back into it

Personally I LOVE that Saddlebred coat for its Unique look plus that brown and golden color combination looks nice to me and While I do love the Arabian coat, I own too many of that breed. The first coat for the Selle though is really gorgeous too!
