    I've been really satisfied with them since they started but now I'm devastated that they just announced they are selling their broadband service to talk talk😫😫😫

      shell was always a reseller of talktalk, it's gonna be the same thing in terms of the speeds and connection quality, idk about customer service and prices tho

      @@ingalens6416 customer service is the biggest problem but I've now signed up to sky and they've installed full fibre for free which would of cost me £100+. The speed is amazing 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

    I was swapped over to them when Post Office BB closed. I've had the same router for over 10 years (it's gone yellow with age) so they never had to send me one.
    A year ago I asked for a new one as it was unreliable. Last week ( I never got a new router) my router completely stopped working.
    Over an hour on the phone to be told they would not send me a new one just a (24 hour post) new connection box (they sent 2 and of course that wasn't what the problem was and it took 72 hours to arrive)!
    I've recently had a broken leg and there is NO 4G or any G at my house and even mobile signal is sparce. I'm very isolated without Broadband connection.
    Called them again and over an hour on the phone again and told NO, we won't send a new router but will send an engineer in a WEEKS time!!!
    So I looked into buying my own new bloody router and called to ask which one is compatible with them.
    I've ended up buying one off them after over three hours with a broken leg, hanging out of my bedroom window to even get a phone signal!
    When the engineer does come they MUST refund me!

      Sorry to hear about that, sounds awful. This is the difference between Shell and companies with a better customer service rating like BT/Plusnet - they're more likely to be compassionate in these types of situations.

      This is bloody awful, can you put in a complaint to ofcom. They should not be allowed to get away with this.

    My experience is negative, when post office sold out to shell I decided to switch , on the day of the switch I sent back my post office router to shell Via my local post office, they are now asking for me to send it again otherwise I will be charged, three months after the switch ? I am also in credit for over £5. When I did get through to customer service I was told a check will be sent for the outstanding amount and they will look into the router issue, still getting letters one another request for router, and letter informing me of my credit in bill form ( not cashable ) I will not spend any more time trying to get through to them as this will cost more than they owe me . be aware, thank you.

    Agree with all the above , my partner was on the phone over an hour trying to sort out her broadband. Was told to do various actions including putting a pin in a hole on the router and then wait 12 hours!!!
    It did eventually work but what a joke !! And today 4/1/24 it’s happened again !!

    I have shell, My son arranged it for me because i'm not very good with tech.
    The deal is £25 p/m and sometimes i can't even use my laptop......Just keeps buffering😠.

      You might need to get him over to help troubleshoot. You might need to ring Shell but TalkTalk have acquired them now, so it could be that you need to contact them instead.

    For anyone wondering it’s terrible,You get disconnected from any Online game you try and play

      Yep it’s supposed to be 60mbps but it’s on under 1mbps most the time and can’t even load UA-cam it’s an embarrassment of a company and shouldn’t have even thought of creating a broadband.

    I have not joined them yet, however in this current climate and cost of living, I see they are offering the super fast fibre for only £22 a month on a 18 month contract. I think thats a bargain considering every other network is charging £25 to £30 a month for the same exact thing. I am currently using Vodafone Broadband which is excellent however they cannot offer me a cheaper deal even with there loyalty discount added on top.

      I've been with them a year, the price has crept up by a few pounds a month, the service is terrible, I would avoid

      The customer service is terrible. I would not recommend it and it crashes a lot.

    Shell Energy's new wi-fi 6 router is so locked down that you can't even change the default admin password. Talk about putting the needs of the ISP above the security of the user.

    I just switched on Friday and my internet is so slow youtube videos are lagging, which I haven't experienced in years

    I won't be renewing my contract I have been waiting a week my wires were cut from outside also my arealso no TV or broad band I cannot get to speak with anyone engineer has never came last 3 appointments I am so annoyed

    They failed to offer or inform me of better deals after my contract expired. It wasn't until I rang several months later for faster internet speeds that I found out. And after moving from a 11Mps deal to a a 67Mps one I've not really noticed a difference. It's frustrating.

      What speeds were you getting before, and what are you getting now? If you haven't noticed at least a 30+ Mbps increase from switching between those two plans, we'd recommend complaining to them, and escalating the complaint if they ignore you.

    Trying to call them is a nightmare after they didn't tell me I needed a new router I called them lots of times for them to send me a new router each time I was waiting on the phone between 40 to 50 mins which for a company what earns billions a year you would think they would invest in better call Centres not the best company

    It's totally rubbish my WiFi goes off all the time they tried to charge me £40 a month rather than my agreed £23.99 trying to sort it out was, a nightmare to be honest....... Never again

      @@broadbandsavvy They haven’t sent me a router I’m sitting here with no internet I’ve got to wait another 5 days for it to be delivered I can’t top up my electric as it’s all online I’m up poop creek right now my electric balance won’t last that long 😩😩😩

      We didn't include them in the table to prevent cluttering it or confusing things too much. They're only available to those with FTTP at the moment.

    My blood is boiling just hearing there name being mentioned, I never had any problems with the post office but when it was taken over by shell , once my contract was up for renewal I rang to negotiation my price and encountered the rudest customer service worker I have ever spoken to in all my years on this earth, I immediately cancelled and would never do any business with them again , AVOID AT ALL COSTS .

    DO NOT GET SHELL ENERGY!!!
    I just went to this place 2 people here and even with an ethernet cable you cant watch a youtube video and struggle to load a page on google. In addition, you cant even talk with someone on whatsapp properly the voice is cutting off.

    I'm thinking of swapping from talktalk Fibre 35 at £29.90 per month and not tied to contract or £25.50 on 18 month contract.
    Shell is offering £15.50 per month.

      A price that low is most likely an introductory offer, make sure to check if it rises after six months or so. Also consider NOW Broadband and Vodafone, which will be about £20-22 for a similar speed. NOW also allows you go no-contract if you pay £60 upfront.     Shell is really bad I wouldn’t recommend it
